    Kurt Angle

During this burst of Angle discourse, it hit me that I've hardly watched him in the last 10 years. Even during the last GWE, he wasn't someone I looked at with any focus. Might take a spin through a few matches just to see what I think of him now. I guess the greater point is that it's easy to become frozen in positions from decades-old debates.
  2. I was mixed on it. It had the unhinged violence/bumping you want from a match like that, and it certainly told a story. But I did feel the length. There were stretches when it lost any dramatic tension for me, in part, to be fair, because I feel zero attachment to most of the participants. The comparison to Cage of Death is apt, and I have to think that was the model these guys had in mind, but it didn't get all the way there.
  3. This show has been tremendous, even if most of the wrestling world would rather talk about Punk.
  4. Darby vs. Luchasaurus was damn good too, maybe the best Luchasaurus singles match ever?
  5. Joe vs. Shane Taylor was a tight, excellent slugfest after we got a tease of Joe as MJF's next challenger. I'll take all of that.

    CM Punk Fired

    Yes, I spoke too soon.

    CM Punk Fired

With Danielson injured and Punk gone, what remains is not a compelling product. That's not to say TK was wrong to sever what seemed to be an increasingly toxic relationship. But it's an invitation for me to stop watching, at least for awhile.
  8. That was a hell of an episode of wrestling TV.
  9. I haven't seen a lot of Komander but man was he not good in that match.
  10. Seriously. Is there any matchup in which you'd rather see Wardlow than Joe? Would love it if Hobbs beats him.
  11. I hate the way Moxley and Page are working this, like guys who are more interested in searching for gimmicks under the ring than fighting. True brawling is such a lost art.
  12. This has been my thought. Why lock yourself into a title change when the Bloodline story has legs and a Cody win would bear limited fruit?
  13. Would you believe that if you were them?
  14. Same template but hard to compare because there's no way for MJF to replicate the credibility that came with being NWA champ. As a kid, I thought Flair was a shithead, but I also thought he was the best. Both components were essential.
  15. MJF and Starks don't have great chemistry in the ring. Match was fine but didn't jumpstart the title reign or elevate Starks as a rising star. Even the Danielson run-in was just kind of there.
