  1. http://www.f4wonline.com/content/view/17418/ Illegal crugs, those are the worst kind.
  2. I'm listening to the John Capouya (author of the Gorgeous George book) interview on F4D from 10-21-2008. It's a decent interview, but a few things jumped out at me: Bryan: "I'm always fascinated when I read about history [...] Gorgeous George came on a new medium in television; coming right after a very depressing period, which was World War II [...] " Yes, what a horrible mark in U.S. history: V-E Day and V-J Day. Bryan looked better when Capouya sort of implied that he didn't know who Ric Flair is. JC: "Ric Flair? ... wasn't he called the Nature Boy?" BA: "Yee-ah, Yeah, Yeah, Yeah."
  3. Todd doesn't stand alone. From WOR: DM: To me, the whole segment, when the Big Show came out - no one cared about him! ... BA: He's the guy who's lame enough to actually be here. DM: This is the 900th show and the real stars [Austin and Rock] don't even come back for special shows! BA: They moved on. DM: That made me feel like I needed to move on. BA: [...] CM Punk showed Big Show suplexing Big Show. [..] He added "I don't know who the other guy was" DM: That was quite the knock, wasn't it? BA: They came off sooo lame. DM: They came off so insecure. To be fair, I thought it was meant as a knock as a well. In a "ha ha, only serious" kind of way.
  4. Making things even sadder. From his FB:
  5. Found this in the 6-3-2002 WON. Dave's analysis of the Chyna-Buttafuco fight, and it's potential for freak-show MMA.
  6. That doesn't seem too bad to me. "She last worked for us on..." is better than "We released him on..." Also, there's a link to her Alumni page. So it's not as if they're pretending she never existed. Of course, that link might come down pending the cause of death.
  7. Is it me, or does it seem like there's always death related adverts up on wwe.com when a death is announced:
  8. I noticed that there's a long thread documenting all the bloopers and blunders of WOR on F4W board. Here's the best two:
  9. I'm getting OLC flashbacks. But really, it was never a secret that Foley was a seething mess of stubborn pride mixed with rampaging insecurity. You don't even need his books to see that, it was obvious as far back as his ECW heel promos. Every character he's ever had was that of a guy who is mostly a loser, but is desperate to prove he's not a loser by any means possible. Nobody should have been surprised by any of the more recent "revelations". I don't disagree with that. But it's undeniable that Foley has (or had) a fanbase of almost cult-like devotion. Frightening, really. I was looking at a Foley thread at F4W from Jan 2006, There was some critisism of Foley and ... RE: the RR '99 match: I remember at DVDVR at around the same time, Kevin Cook (probably the best poster in MB history) became the most hated poster ever for suggesting that maybe Foley isn't the greatest guy in the world.
  10. I just was listening to a F4D from Feb 2007. Meltzer says about the same thing as in the WON paragraph.
  11. They basically just buried Foley for an hour. It was pretty good.
  12. So ROH.com is worse than porn sites now?:
  13. There's no mystery about that. Cause of death has always been arteriosclerotic heart disease. With long-term usage of cocaine listed as a contributing cause.
  14. In his shoot, Chris Masters said that while at a dark match he didn’t shake Bob Holly’s hand, because Holly was talking to a couple of guys. Holly yelled at Masters and tried to change the lineup so they would wrestle each other. Presumably so he could beat Masters up. The weird or funny wrestling etiquette stuff should probably have it's own thread.
