  1. The INA has uploaded some wrestling on YouTube, giving some hope there is more to come. They labelled this video as "Inca Viracocha vs. Mr. Montreal" (a match where only 3 minutes are shown) and mispelt Caclards name, so I'm not sure they know what a mountain of greatness they are sitting on, but everytime a match like this gets uploaded is like finding 20 $ on the street. This goes about 35 minutes and is a total wresting clinic, just an absolutely bonkers match. Sanniez & Caclard I've loved before and they look like an all time great heel duo. Just really dedicated stooges who will take every bump in the book (Sanniez at one point just does this huge no water in the pool plunge into the ring, and Caclard flies into a ringside table), and when it's time to kick ass they will punt the shit out of their opponents. Aside from the crazy fast standing exchanges, awesome weird ranas, flips and european uppercuts, there was some brainy hold for hold work with really complex reversals/one upmanship sequences and a few smart spots. Highlights include an awesome Rocca deadlift suplex from the ground, Caclard making use of the proto-Powerbomb, Hassouni busting out these great Johnny Kidd spots and Sanniez using a flying kick that was like something Tamura would do. It made me think french guys may be the best sprint workers of all time, because they basically start fast and then just keep going and going without letting up, and even picking up the pace by the end with the heels flying everywhere and Roger Delaporte whacking Caclard for good measure. All the time there was never a filler half crab or sitting in a hold. It really makes you go Fuck a Manami Toyota and 90s AJPW, this stuff is the real athletic peak of wrestling.

  4. This starts out hot with Inoki going to town on Singh by punching him in the face repeatedly. Of course they settle down do some matwork, but Singh looks shockingly competent here: actually wrestling Inoki, and using cheating tactics to keep the advantage. When Inoki grabs a basic wristlock, he really tortures Singh, who does a mindblowingly good job selling as he was walking around with a limp arm for minutes afterwards and wincing when Inoki reached for it again. He actually reminded me a bit of a Mick McManus/Jim Breaks type with his mix of fun highly exaggerated selling and cheating tactics. Inoki selling a Singh choke by drooling all nastily was a good way to establish Singh as dangerous again. The finishing run was extremely basic but fun. I especially liked them struggling over a suplex. Singh attacks Inoki with an umbrella and threatens to bring his spike into play, so Inoki starts throwing punches again. No finish because they had more matches to come. Shockingly fine match.
  5. This was a match I was 50/50 on, as it was a pretty damn great Aoyagi performance vs. a really dull Miura performance. Miura sucks and has no clue and he dominated much of this match, wondering what to do, showing more confusion than aggression. He worked over Aoyagi's leg for the match, and there were a total of 3 interesting things he did: a) trying to moonsault the leg headbutting the leg and c) removing Aoyagi's knee pad. Aoyagi's selling and comebacks on the other hand were just awesome. I have no idea how Aoyagi learnt to sell this well, but he understood perfectly how to dish out devastating kicks while also hobbling arround and collapsing looking very anguished on his bad leg. He also brought out the stiff punches for this one. Easily his best performance from WYF, but wasted on a slug. What's with Aoyagi getting shitty opponents in his own fed?
