Excellent. Rain told me he would do the same for the AWA and Kevin will highlight a couple of matches for the USWA as well.

I'm so seeing Rick Rude taking over The Playboy Club in the next couple of months!

    Initial Draft Discussion

I got the feeling that many of us will have to change their drafting plans as we go along! And this officially makes the NJPW Tag Team Championship vacant, since Hashimoto was holding the titles with Junji Hirata.

    Lutte Internationale August 1984

Yeah, I felt that Gino Brito has already established himself as a strong TV champion that Martel losing to him wouldn't be bad for him, even heading into his title rematch vs Valentine.

Yeah, I agree. As long as we can spot the distinct flavor you bring to your product, that's all that matters.

    Initial Draft Discussion

Trying to stay as realistic as possible. I know that Antonio Inoki & Hashimoto had some issues together creatively so I'm trying to stick as possible with the core guys that stuck around as much as possible.

Really good TV, man. Things are getting chaotic and that's how I like it!

    UNITED STATES WRESTLING ASSOCIATION

Another great show. This 6-Men Tag Tournament is shaping up to a really good one. We're having Freebirds vs Von Erichs in the finals, right?

Yeah, solid 5 to build your promotion around.

    Initial Draft Discussion

It's not really about UWFi that I'm worried about for the junior heavyweights!

    Initial Draft Discussion

Can't forget about ECW as well. While they didn't mainly focus on junior heavyweights, they featured several of them in that timeframe.

    Initial Draft Discussion

Yeop. Them and the "Other" talents. Some of them fit both categories so it's gonna be interesting to see who ends up where.

    Initial Draft Discussion

I just hope I'll be able to build the Junior Heavyweight division I want. But I got the feeling that I probably won't be able to have all the guys I want.

    Initial Draft Discussion

Yeah, we're pretty much all in that same boat. We have a pretty good idea of who to target but sometimes another promotion can just snatch one or two guys away and it changes our plans. Best thing is to just go with the flow.

    1983 Project General Chatter Thread

Just giving a heads-up to everyone that I'm starting to write the Johnny Rougeau Memorial Cup next week and I'm offering every territory to use the tournament for their weekly TV programs. WWF has already told me that they will broadcast 1st round featuring representatives of their roster so feel free to let me know if this is something you wanna do too.

    The Initial Draft!

With their first pick, New Japan will select Hulk Hogan.

    Also good for me.

    The Rulebook

Could it be helpful for certain people to have the booking characteristics of owners (like Giant Baba, Inoki, etc)? Just in case some new people would join later? No problem if not but I thought I'd ask.

    Freelancer Booking Revisions

    I think that's a fair compromise.
