  1. A good standard AAA tag that probably would look better if it didn’t come in the wake of a promotion that has been dreadful throughout 2000. If this is just the best match in a given week, that is one thing. However, this is probably one of the top 5-10 matches we have seen from the promotion this year and when it barely qualifies as good, that makes me question just how poor things have been overall than probably rightfully praise the singular action here. Even then, nothing here is extraordinary by any means, it is just competent. Last fall is filled with bullshit and outside interference featuring Jerry Estrada and Octagon. I don’t really know where all of this is leading or what I hope happens, I just hope the promotion improves from a clarity standpoint. **1/2
  2. The team of both Aguyao’s, Kanemoto, Otani, and Casas may literally be my favorite five person unit in wrestling history. We get about half of this and it is a ton of fun and something well worth seeking out. Each fall built to a big spot that was the finish which I appreciated. This really felt like the type of matches you see at FantasticaMania nowadays. Would love to see this in full. ***1/4
  3. This was easily the best non apuestas match of the heavies in AAA this year so far. The action was chaotic but easy to follow and the hate was really conveyed between Perro Jr. and Latin Lover. Both of those men do some great blade jobs off of weapon shots and just go after each other throughout the duration of the match. The seconds get involved and for typical extracurricular AAA bullshit, this was one of the better examples of that. The match ends in a non finish but this got me more excited to watch the main event scene in AAA than anything else so far. ***1/2 (7)
  4. Frantic action that was fun while it lasted but didn't leave a lasting impression. Texano does absolutely paste a referee at one point in a highlight and everyone takes turns doing crazy dives. The rudo trio is fun here and I would like to see them in something long form. **1/2
  5. This was probably my favorite AAA thing so far actually. It certainly had too much referee bullshit for my optimal liking including the ref scoring the pinfall in the second caida, but it at least stayed based in the ring and had some semblance of a story that I could grasp. I really enjoyed the heel team here as it is filled with gruffy, grumpy men that don't give a fuck. Hopefully we can see more of this in the future. ***1/4
  6. I keep waiting for the AAA stuff to heat up but even if the action is better, it is still surrounded by bullshit that I am not interested in at all. It really is a WWF vs. WCW situation to me at the same time except CMLL has been much better at pulling off the amount of hate and disdain among all the factions. The AAA stuff still seems to be drawing but I for the life of me can’t care. This was another match that tricked me by having 2 minutes of decent action before resorting to bullshit with run ins, Pena getting bullied around, and chairs getting swung. Some day AAA will do something to interest me. *1/4
