  1. This is a Four-Corner Survival match with Double Stakes ... meaning the winner of the first fall gets a Pure title match (and both the winner & loser are subsequently eliminated from the match) then it becomes a singles match between the last two competitors for a shot at the World title. Kind of a silly stipulation, and it makes the psychology of the match wonky. Why would anyone want a shot at a secondary title over the World title? Anyways. There's a lot of cool mat & limbwork here; Joe being Joe is great, as usual; continuation in the Cabana/McGuinness storyline; an interesting first time match-up between Shelley/McGuinness. Good, well-worked match with decent storytelling, but not without its flaws. Rating: ***

  3. I had a review written out for this and got an IPS Driver Error because of the apostrophe in Kyle O'Reilly's name. Ugh. Anyway, this was a solid match. I don't remember a ton about it, but it was fun while it lasted. They didn't really get the crowd into it very much, but I credit that more to the perils of working in a dome than I do the way they worked the match. There isn't much art to matches like this because the psychology isn't really important - they're just throwing bombs. But the bombs were well paced and hit cleanly, so I think they accomplished what they were going for just fine. Good.
