  1. Three way matches usually drag, but this was absolute bonkers from start to finish. These three guys have had quality matches on RAW between each other this year, so I was def. looking forward to this and thought it was good. It was a sub 15 minute pro-wrestling demolition derby. Just three big dudes throwing each other around like madmen. McIntyre's Michinoku Driver is easily one of the most impressive spots of the year and the Claymore Kick counter into a big powerbomb table bump was great. Screwy finish which I don't mind as it allows to build another match with Lashley returning to ringside and tossing McIntyre out of the ring after he had hit Strowman with a Claymore Kick and then taking advantage and hitting Strowman with a spear for the win.
  2. Both guys have been really good throughout the year and both guys brought it here and put on together a hot opening heavyweight title match. This didn't have the stiff strikes or potatoes the Drew/Sheamus match had but it had a bunch of big bombs from both guys. There's also a wild dive from Drew in this which unfortunately got brushed off by Lashley and MVP and McIntyre just splatted back first on the outside. That no sell kip up from Drew to the second spinebuster felt very Shawn Michael'ish and was something I could have done without but the crowd went nuts for it so it worked. The drama and false finish with the kimura was a great and the referee stoppage to the Hurt Lock was great as well. Very good match.
  3. WWE continues putting on quality heavyweight matches featuring real heavyweights just throwing bombs and working extra snug on TV on a a monthly basis. This wasn’t quite McIntyre/Sheamus levels, but this was still good. The early mat work with Lashley just grounding Sheamus and roughing him up with his forearms before dropping bombs on him from the knee on belly mount was great and set the tone for most of the match. Sheamus also got some brutality in this as he was dropping some clubs on Lashley with some knee strikes on a grounded a Lashley that looked like they were going to crack his skull and some brutal 12-6 elbows that were clearly hitting Lashley in the jaw and chest as your could clearly hear the thud from these. Lashley also rushed into the post shoulder first like he was going for a tope and got caught which was a pretty wild bump. The highlight was the brutal flying knee during the last few minutes of this from Sheamus into a charging Lashley that dropped Lashley and to be honest I’m surprised didn’t KO him as it connected nearly flush on the jaw. Just a brutal match as you can see the effects of it reflected on Sheamus' body language near the end.
  4. Good sub 10 minute TV match with Lashley working as the big bruiser and Riddle taking some wild bumps. That corner bump on the outside was nasty. That finishing sequence was creative and neat. I'm all for these two feuding over the US title. Riddle has been coming along nicely on RAW with some quality singles TV matches against Sheamus last year and now this one against Lashley.
  5. When did Lashley become such a good wrestler? He was absolutely great here - super awesome arrogant monster heel performance by him. Eddie was really good as the scrappy underdog too, but much like in the match vs. Davey Richards, Lashley was the star. ****
  6. Lashley does it again, my god. This started off with Eddie shine, and he was great, laying those awesome chops in. Lashley's work on top was excellent, and Eddie rules working from underneath. Loved his comeback, which was cut off by Lashley in awesome fashion. The whole Davey deal was a bit annoying, but this was still an absolutely awesome match. ***3/4
  7. Goddamn, what a super fun, great match! They packed lots of action into the 14 minutes they went here: you got Lashley as the arrogant, cocky, monster heel & Davey as the fired up babyface who was all about busting out all the big bombs in his arsenal in order to stop the big bad Lashley. Lashley dominated most of it as expected, while Davey got to get his big shit in, some crazy looking suicide dives & that stupid superplex into a suplex (only negative thing about the match) + he also did some brief work over Lashley's leg - which Lashley sold like an absolute champ. What an awesome match. **** Definitely wouldn't have expected this from Davey Richards vs. Bobby Lashley. 2017 is pretty wild already.
  8. Man I watched this a few years ago but wanted to see it again before I gave it a thread and I still can't believe how much Henry made me care about a Lashley comeback. I watched Goldberg/Henry from 2003 before this and although you could see glimpses of what Henry would become he's on another level here. The trash talk and the mileage he gets out of simple shoves early on is unreal. Plus keeping score as he beat down Lashley ("Three for me! Zero for you!") is something I can't believe hasn't been used more often. This makes every Lashley hope spot feel important and when he explodes out of the corner for that clothesline I lost it. This leads to yet another Henry cutoff centered around rib kicks and jaw jacking before Lashley finally is able to get in a sustained period of offense which the crowd eats up. Finish is fine to me considering the positioning of the two at the time and how hard it was for Lashley to actually create offense and you get a post-match Henry beatdown anyway.
  9. The beginning was clunky, I was wondering if Rush was going to be able to carry Lashley to a good match but before I had time for serious contemplation he started going this amazing stalling which he wed into a transition into his control segment that was him just kicking Lashley around and all my doubts were removed. I have to say though, as much as I love Rush these German Suplex no sell exchanges he's started doing are sub-Kurt Angle level trash. I forgive him because he stomps on people's heads in the corner like Kazunari Murakami and he almost killed himself with the bump on the Spear. **3/4
