  1. This is built as Fat Frank's Suicidal Games and it's basically a WarGames-style 4 vs. 4 match with weapons in trash cans placed all over the ring. The teams are Dickinson, Jaka, Ortiz and Draztic vs. Homicide, Low Ki, Monsta Mack and Mafia. There's a ton of hate, chaos and violence in this from the get go. Draztic bleeds buckets and blood is splattered across all over the floor. Low Ki's entrance was amazing as he carries this local hero aura around him as he walks out with his Hitman gear to a massive pop. Ki accidentally dropkicks Ki in the corner and later on Mack shoves Ki off the top and turns on him which of course is all part of the build to the crazy year end steel cage match. Joker comes out near the end of the match and he runs over Mack with a brutal knee in the corner which seems like it legit KO's Mack. Truly chaotic and there's a million things going on a time. One of the most underrated matches of the year.
  2. This was bonkers. Not the thigh slappy heavy stuff we usually see in the indies. These guys are legit beating the tar out of each other. Dickinson pulls out something I've never seen anyone pull off before -- he hoist Mack on his shoulders for a death valley driver and he tosses him to the turnbuckle and it's surprising Mack didn't suffer a broken neck. As if that wasn't enough, Dickinson hits a burning hammer on him afterwards. Dickinson is one of the craziest guys in wrestling. Unbelievable stuff.
  3. This is worked pretty evenly, but both men beat the crap out of each other for the entirety of it; not that thigh slap happy junk that's played out now. Would love to say Gulak's selling was great here, but I'm not sure if that was worked or he legit was exhausted/fatigued for this as it was a war from the start. Gulak took a pretty nasty tumble to the outside near the end in a botched triangle armbar over the top rope attempt, but that didn't really hurt this. Loved the finishing sequence with Dickinson dishing out some brutal strikes before getting blitzed with a nasty roaring elbow. Great stuff.
  4. This was pretty good. It was basically ZSJ trying to be too cute and Dickinson using his brute strength and power to counter ZSJ's cute sub attempts by either throwing kicks or strikes from wherever he could or by trying deadlift throws. I really dug the finish with the ref. calling for the bell instead of Dickinson tapping out. Good stuff. ***
  5. Despite being super talented, Catch Point tags (specifically Yehi & Hot Sauce) never seem to be anything more than solid/low-level good territory. Which is fine, and I totally appreciate those contributions, but given their talents you just expect so much more. This is another low-level good match. The action is good & fast-paced. There's not much of a story, but you see some nuance here & there. Oh, I def. need to mention this: there's an absolutely insane spot half-way through the match where Jaka overshoots a tope suicida and explodes into the crowd. Shit had my eyes poppin' out of my head. Dickinson hits the Pazuzu Bomb on Hot Sauce and Dickinson & Jaka are the new champs! Rating: ***¼
  6. Good, compact, hard-hitting match that doesn't overstay its welcome. Dickinson comes out looking strong against the longest reigning ex-EVOLVE champion & Thatcher gets a much-needed rebound victory after losing the title to ZSJ @ EVOLVE 79. Rating: ***¼
