In my mind, probably the best Survivor Series match ever. You have a lot of tag teams who for that time that defined in the late 80's, not just the WWF, but the AWA and Crockett as well. It's about everything you'd ever want from a tag team match multiplied by 5.

Am curious to see what people's thoughts on this match are in general, as it's held in generally high esteem and I like it a lot, though it feels a tiny bit clunky at the end. Apparently Dave Meltzer only gave this two stars at the time, which I'm floored by.- 7 replies

So this was meant to be for the Tag Team titles, but Dynamite Kid's injury prevented this. It was then made a six man tag match to cover up his limitations and it does so well. Danny Davis is fantastic as a chicken shit heel non-wrestler. He tags in when an opponent is down and he takes a shot and tag himself back out. This riles up the crowd and they can't wait to see Davis get taken down. Santana gets the hot tag and isolates Davis and beats him down, much to the roaring approval of the audience. Davey Boy Smith tags in and delivers an absolutely viscous Tombstone Piledriver before Davis sneaks away with a cheap win. Who would of thought a match with all this talent and Danny Davis is the MVP? ★★★

Just watched the 6 man and fuck it was fun. Can't believe I watched a match with Dino fucking Bravo in it and actually enjoyed It, but it did also feature Bret and the Rougous so there was still a chance I'd like it and I did. Crowd was wild for the faces esp too. Some great action in this, esp as soon as Bret gets tagged in and I loved his stuff with both Rougous. It also reminded me how enjoyable the Hart Foundation were as a team and the role Anvil played in it all with him coming in and just cleaning house and being the quick power man. After watching Duggan in Mid South greatness, it's always a comedown when you then watch him in a WWF setting mostly, but in a match like this, he's a ton of fun and just does the quick basics and it works. He gets in here on a hot tag after a heel heat segment and it's great. Crowd loses their shit too. Bravo will always suck, no matter where he is. Luckily he's pretty inoffensive here. Very fun match. Nice little hidden gem here.
