  1. Charles (Loss)

    1980-07-06-PNW-TV

Pacific Northwest Wrestling TV Aired July 6, 1980 (Taped July 5, 1980) No review yet. Sheepherders (Luke Williams & Butch Miller) vs Buddy Rose & Ed Wisowski Bold matches are PWO recommended.
  2. YouTube user FanCam Guy has uploaded a new Jerry Lawler match to his channel from Memphis Redbirds Wrestling Night on July 6. Lawler's opponent is Kevin Thorn, formerly Mordecai in WWE. For many PWO readers, "The King" is a bit of a timeless wrestler who can still go in his 60s. If you're a fan of Lawler, this channel has plenty of under-the-radar matches featuring Lawler and other Memphis talent that you might find interesting. Let us know your thoughts on this or anything else on this channel in the comments.

  5. This is a big match for Mizunami as she is fresh off winning the Catch the WAVE tournament and lost to Takahashi earlier in the year. Meanwhile, Nanae has had a sneaky great year which has been lost in the noise surrounding Yoshiko's return. The early part of this match is interesting as Mizunami gets her arm worked over by Takahashi. When she tries to make her comebacks she has to switch up her offense a bit to not use the arm, but when she does break down and use it she sells the arm as still being in pain. Eventually the match turns into a slugfest and starts to go Mizunami's way. To counter, Nanae decides to try and bust out her big moves which allows her to pick up the win. Great, hard fought match. ****1/4
  6. A weird case where two great performances don't add up to a great match. It's still worth seeing, but the layout was odd because instead of building to something, it started off hot, then cooled down and kept going back and forth without any clear story or anything. It's a good way to set up a rematch, though, and I'm glad I saw it. But I'm sure these two can do much better.
