  3. Match Link This is a match that has been teased since Yoshiko made her return in March. After that match, Arisa Nakajima confronted her and Nanae that started their feud. This starts off with some really chippy matwork where attempted counters are hair pulls more often than not. After that, this turns into the type of match you would expect between these two, a mix of stiff strikes and big moves. Nakajima starts going after Yoshiko's arm in order to limit her main offensive weapon, the lariat, but Yoshiko does some nice 'gut through it' selling. Arisa also does some really great selling of her back while on offense after it gets worked over. The finish has some terrific back and forth with nearfalls for both while also teasing a draw. Another fantastic show from Nakajima plus a nice bounce back from Yoshiko after a disappointing performance against Aja Kong a few weeks earlier. ****1/2
  4. One of my favourite current wrestlers versus one of my favourites all-time. Syxx is the X Division champion and he is defending against Styles who has debuted his new manager Mortimer Plumtree here. This was really good. After a nice slow build AJ unleashed some good offense while in control. Watlman's comeback was real good with some amazing spin kicks (even if AJ did flip sells). He brings out his own dive and a nice suplex, before AJ goes for a discuss lariat and nails the referee. X-Factor, but Plumtree breaks it up and as Waltman goes for revenge the referee wakes up and stops it. Vicious punches sets up a bronco buster, but instead of the stupid riding he just punches him in the face. He unloads with more and more kicks, but the referee gets shoved down and Waltman getts DQ'ed. Grudge match is coming and it should be fun. All and all a solid match setting up a rematch. Waltman still looks great in 2002. #wrestling365
  5. Talk about it here.
  6. This is a super fun main event from Stardom's first of two shows that they ran in California. Even though she been all over the indys, this is the first time I've seen Mia Yim work. She was good, nothing notable just an overall solid performance. Io is just great here, she seems to have found the right mix of flashy moves and using her own charisma to be a consistently entertaining wrestler. Really good back and forth finish with the some nice near falls for both women. Well worth seeking out. ***3/4
