  1. Another round of beefy dudes clobbering eachother. This wasn't peak WAR interpromotional material, but I still probably liked the best out of all the matches on the show. Particularily because the whole match felt thoroughly violent, and Fuyuki and Koshinaka were really at each other's throat. They randomly broke out into this super violent exchange that lead to a poor sap getting punched repeatedly and all was right in the world. I continue to enjoy Goto in these Heisei Ishingun tags as old guy with 2 moves who comes in to lariat and backdrop fools and nothing else, altough there was some sloppiness on his part. Hara's career was winding down but he could still take some big bumps. These matches pretty much write themselves but they still work in some things you won't expect.
  2. Fun as hell little undercard trios centered around Nakano and Fuyuki hating eachothers guts. They are immediately at eachothers throat and trading beatings, Nakano asks Fuyuki to tag in etc. This is broken up by some weird and wonderful Sano/Ishikawa workrate interactions with Ishikawa hitting an awesome tubby old man plancha. However it's back to hatred and soon Nakano has punched a beeding wound into Fuyukis forehead. Then we get Kabuki punching and kicking a bloody Fuyuki in the face (as it should be). Fuyuki is quite the good sympathetic babyface here, doing his high pitched yelling etc. The finishing run is really fun too with Takahi Ishikawa being fired up, Kabuki hitting superkicks. Finally Nakano goes to town on Fuyuki with the chair. These two probably faced eachother at a Pioneer Senshi houseshow or something and we only got a taste here, but it really elevated what could have been a throwaway undercard tag.
  3. This is a 2/3 falls match at Korakuen Hall and it was pretty heatless which is a surprise as the FMW Korakuen crowds are mostly responsive to everything in these big FMW main events, yet they sat on their hands kept quite for the majority of this. The match itself I thought never picked up and was kinda boring. There was some brief crowd brawling moments which is an FMW staple, but those were really brief as most of the action took place in the ring. What I did dig was them going 2/0 and not having to rely on the third fall as it seems to be common trend in 2/3 falls matches. The first fall came in around a minute or so when Hayabusa caught Fuyuki in a cradle. The highlight of the second fall for me was Kanemura delivering a crazy powerbomb off the ring apron through a table on Tanaka. Aside from that, this seemed pretty uninspired to me.
  4. This is a barbed wire street fight scramble bunkhouse double hell death match. So what that really means is there's a barbed wire bat hanging on top of the ring with two sides of the ropes covered in barbed wire a ladder to grab the barbed bat some boards covered in barbed wire on the outside of the ring and a table in the ring. This is nowhere near as chaotic or fun as the previous Onita Pro no rope barbed multi man main event matches we have previously throughout the year. I don't want to sound negative or extremely nitpicky, but this felt actually pretty coordinated at times. I also disliked how they built towards the scramble for the baseball wire bat, yet it wasn't really used with much significance and was just used as another prop in the match. Thought this was rather underwhelming. I guess my taste in wrestling have changed drastically as I was really high on these back when I originally watched all of these FMW matches some 15 or so years ago.
