  1. Oh man did this rule... Its a WarGames style elimination match where a new entrant comes in every 2 minutes and anyone can get eliminated at any point in the match and eliminations can be done by getting thrown over the top rope. Finally we get the 2 top Crazy MAX guys with Michinoku Pros top heels and a decent lucha rudo. I really dug the stipulation and how the heels were able to keep the advantage and make the best out of it. I thought Pentagon and Pantera looked a bit lost at times, but it didnt drag the match that bit. TAKAs entrance was epic. It seemed he was a mysterious entrant and the crowd went nuts when the lights went out and his music hit. What hurt this for me was the eliminations near the finishing stretch seemed rushed. The wild brawl with everyone involved was great. I can see some disliking the way TAKA was built as Superman by kicking out of everything in the end, but considering the it seemed it was his return and he was built during his entrance, it made some sense to me. Really strong stuff. ****
  2. This is one of the funnest matches Ive seen from this year. Its basically a showcase exhibition for Matsui, Shoji and Uno who were MMA vets. The commentator frequently refers to them as Vale Tudo fighters. Out of the 3, Matsui was the only one with pro-wrestling experience here as he was a former UWF guy and he also worked for Kingdom Ehrgeiz, but around this time he was mostly fighting in PRIDE. The match is a blast when you think about the limit pro-wrestling experience most of these guys had. Watching Uno keep up the pace with Sasuke during a quick Michinoku Pro experience is quite the novelty. As is watching Shoji doing a quebrada onto Sasuke. I thought from the 3, Uno looked the best being able to hold his own and keep up with Sasuke. Very fun stuff.
  3. TLC Rules Match: Nanae Takahashi vs. The Great Sasuke This match was mostly about The Great Sasuke trying to cripple himself. He sets up traps that do not work out in his favor, time and time again. Nanae wasn't holding back, Sasuke was willing to take hideous punishment, and I thought the action generally flowed well into the high spots. This was a lot of fun. ****
  4. This was a weird one. Dirtbike Kid takes most of the match with vanilla junior heavyweight offence, just hitting spot after spot, which Sasuke reacts to by just kicking out at one. Kid misses a splash and then Sasuke just kicks the shit out of him and Guillotines Him for the finish. This was a mask tournament, and apparently Dirtbike Kid threw a fit about jobbing in the opening round and unmasked himself before the entrance because of that, with Sasuke responding the way he did. Definitely worth watching if you're a fan of 2 minute matches that turn into real fights.
