  1. We get a really good Speedball FIP segment, where Donovan Dijak & JT Dunn do some quality over him, which then leads to a FANTASTIC ACH hot tag - the man was seriously on fire. After that tremendous hot tag, we get your usual indy 50/50 action & it was all very enjoyable. Cody's manager shtick was pretty fun, too. ***1/2
  2. This was a very good, borderline great tag match. Everybody gave impressive performances; SHO & YOH ruled with their work over the ribs of ACH & their quick combinations were really fun to watch, Taguchi was a really great hot tag, but GODDAMN the star of this bout was definitely ACH - he put on such a great performance, his selling of the injured ribs of his was superb & he brought the fire, he brought the charisma, he brought the right amount of emotion. Terrific stuff by him. Overall I think this would've been better had it been shaved off a bit, because in the end it did drag a bit, but yeah, a really damn good match. ***3/4
  3. Good match. Theory is way below ACH on the totem pole & ACH reacts to him as such. He's playfully disrespectful, but when Theory starts countering his shit & getting the better of him, ACH becomes visibly more frustrated as the match progresses. Theory doesn't even lose due to the experience gap. ACH straight-up beats him because he's the better wrestler. Which, I suppose, is a feather in Theory's cap for working up to ACH's level, but a loss is still a loss. Rating: ***
  4. I have a feeling that if this had taken place in Reseda instead of Illinois, this would've got some near 5-star MOTYC hype already. This was just an insane, all action spotfest - they started it right away, and it NEVER slowed down. Just pure spot action from start to finish. I think it was really great. ****1/4
  5. In which wrestling is but a live action version of an anime fight. Pretty standard junior match with them exchanging control segments throughout. Ibushi's athleticism is absolutely breathtaking, one has to admire how he he kept his balance on the top rope during the Triangle Moonsault dive and the speed with which he snapped his hips on the German Suplex. Some might be bothered by a one time only character having their finisher kicked out of and Ibushi doing a Tiger Suplex for a nearfall in the opening match of the normal show but it didn't bother me, the match was short and the its "finishing stretch" reflected the length of the match. My favourite version of Ibushi is the one where he heavily relies on his shootboxing background but this was reminiscent of the many junior matches I used to like before everyone decided to do poor Jack Evans cosplay. **3/4
  6. http://placetobenation.com/ptbn-reaction-show-roh-13th-anniversary-show/ Will is joined by Kris Zellner and Dave & Dylan from the Wrestling Culture podcast to discuss the 13th Anniversary Show. We discuss the Bullet Club, AJ Styles, Alberto el Patron and the return of Samoa Joe! Was the main event bad enough to ruin a good show? Listen and find out! ‚Äč
