[2022-04-02-WWE-WrestleMania 38] Charlotte Flair vs Ronda Rousey
Microstatistics posted a topic in April 2022
This was a mess. A complete lack of structure coupled with weak, meandering action. Both wrestlers just seemed to be going through the motions. Just when they teased something interesting, for instance Ronda breaking up the Figure 8 by targeting Charlotte's susceptible ankle, they went back into autopilot mode. And all this was before that nonsensical finish. You know things are bad when the referee takes the most memorable bump of the match. **1/4-

[2018-04-08-WWE-Wrestlemania XXXIV] Charlotte Flair vs Asuka

Loved this. Big match feel right from the entrances - both women showed lots of swagger & charisma; loved Asuka’s work over Charlotte - her offense was even more violent than usual, those Shibata -esq kicks to the head were amazing as well as those brutal stomps to the back. ***3/4 -
[2017-04-02-WWE-Wrestlemania XXXIII] Bayley vs Charlotte Flair vs Nia Jax vs Sasha Banks
ShittyLittleBoots posted a topic in April 2017
Loved the beginning with Nia establishing dominance, she looked like a monster just beating up Charlotte, Bayley & Sasha. Loved it. Loved the Horsewomen realizing they need to team up to take her out - that was real great, and the whole beatdown of Nia was tremendous. After she was eliminated, the match fell off a bit, but it still remained good & as a result we got a very good, borderline great match. ***3/4 -
Short match significant for being Charlotte's debut. Ric Flair comes out to introduce her, first making a speech about how he's been partying in Orlando since 1978. The two women put on what would be a decent RAW Divas match from 2011. They've both come a long way in the last 4 years, though. Charlotte had no character to speak of, and Bayley's moves lacked confidence. It's nice to revisit the early days, though, and I have missed Regal on commentary. (At one point in response to Flair's partying comments, he jokes about having lost his liver in Vegas in 1995 and that he should go back for it one day.) It's also nice to see that "Development" actually works. Bayley hasn't changed a lot, but compare this Charlotte to the one who had that big entrance at Mania 2017.

This actually reminded me of the Bayley/Sasha classic from Brooklyn when it comes to the structure of the match. Charlotte's work on top was superb, really vicious work over Bayley's neck, and Bayley was excellent (as usual) as the fiery babyface. Fantastic match, if we get a better TV match this year, we're in for a treat. ****1/4 EDIT: goddamn botched the title. Meant to put RAW, not Royal Rumble lol.

[2017-01-29-WWE-Royal Rumble] Charlotte Flair vs Bayley

Awesome match! Both Charlotte & Bayley were absolutely on point here - Charlotte working the heat on Bayley was wonderful, loved the trash talk, and her work on top was overall very good. Bayley's selling was good. She is such an awesome babyface wrestler. That Macho Elbow was very nice. All in all, this was some very solid rasslin! ***1/2
