This was a very good, back and forth match with Juice dropping another match. Ibushi pulled out some of the big guns to put Juice away, but Juice keeping fight back. A very even match. Wish this went a little longer, then it would have hit the great range for me, but this was a nice teaser to hopefully a second math between the two. ***3/4

[2017-07-27-NJPW-G1 Climax] Juice Robinson vs Tama Tonga
ShittyLittleBoots posted a topic in July 2017
Oh man, I love Juice. What a great professional wrestler he has become - Tama Tonga is someone who sure hasn't impressed me in singles action during his G1 runs, but here Juice brought out the best in him. I liked his aggressive onslaught on Juice & Juice's selling of that was just great - the energy, fire & charisma he brought was superb. The standing ovation after the match was very well deserved. ***3/4 -

[2017-07-01-NJPW-G1 Special in USA: Day One] Juice Robinson vs Zack Sabre Jr
ShittyLittleBoots posted a topic in July 2017
Both guys were fired up & played their roles greatly - you got Juice as the fired up babyface against Zack 'the torturer' Sabre Jr. Loved watching Zack on the offense & Juice sells super well, he's such a good sympathetic babyface. ***3/4 -
[2017-06-20-NJPW] BUSHI & EVIL & SANADA vs Ryusuke Taguchi & Juice Robinson & KUSHIDA

I thought this was pretty rad - probably checked in around ***3/4 or so for me. The following is our recap from Ioan Morris at PTBN -
Impressive performance by Juice in his first big time real main event opportunity. He looked very good & his selling of the leg was very strong throughout the whole match - I was actually afraid he would totally no sell it when Naito started to attack it right away, but he sold it really well from start to finish. ***3/4

[2017-03-15-NJPW-New Japan Cup] Juice Robinson vs Katsuyori Shibata
ShittyLittleBoots posted a topic in March 2017
Another strong Juice big match performance! The dude has been impressive all year long so far, with strong performances against Cody, Goto & now Shibata. Loved Shibata's work over his arm, and then when it was time for Juice to get some of his shit in, he starts to throw these really great looking punches & chops. Loved those. And then Shibata cuts him off with a brilliant looking strike. From there on, the match kicks into the finishing gear and it was remained really damn good till the end. ***3/4- 1 reply

[2017-02-05-NJPW-New Beginning in Sapporo] Hirooki Goto vs Juice Robinson
ShittyLittleBoots posted a topic in February 2017
This was really good. Great showing by Juice, who impressed vs. Cody at WK, and continued to impress here vs. Goto. His early shine was super good; highlight of the match. Goto's heat segment was really good too, and after that, most of the rest of the bout went to Juice, which was nice, as because of that, he managed to come off as a winner with his strong performance even though he lost the match. ***1/2 -
This was very fun. Some good interactions between the New Beginning big match up opponents, such as Ishii trading some stiff strikes with Makabe & Honma, Goto & Juice having some nice sequences, and then my favorite part: Shibata & Ospreay having an absolutely amazing opening sequence. ***1/2

This was fine but nothing special, much like everything Cody Rhodes has even done. There was no way he was going to live up to the video package New Japan made for him, his acting was just so shit in this match, he's back to playing an evil genius from a cartoon, it just might be worse than Stardust. Kinda feel bad for Juice as he did look good here, I enjyoed his offence, guy probably could've had a three star match versus Nakanishi, instead he was forced to sell for Cody Rhode's Springboard Enzuigiri that misses by a foot. The Crossbody countered into a leglock was a cool spot that popped me for sheer novelty. An endless whirlpool of twenty second control segments and a quasi attempt at legwork didn't help matters either. **1/2

Here I am wondering if I can make it through an entire New Japan show in 2016 after Wrestle Kingdom kicked me in the balls. Juice looked good here, throwing some good punches and a nice lariat. Everyone else sucked. Heatless two minute match, less than average.
