[1983-01-01-CWA-TV] Bobby Eaton & Koko Ware vs Jacques Rougeau & Terry Taylor
Loss posted a topic in January 1983
Two expiration of time matches on the same show? I take it one of the dates is off, but I’ll still go with 1/1 for both until or unless I’m corrected. Eaton and Ware are a heel workrate machine as a tag team, although I think part of it is the overall sense of urgency. This is rushed since it seemed like they wanted to get in the body of the match before the show went off the air, but it’s very good all the same, and the benefit is that they do get in opening shine, heat on Taylor and a hot tag to Rougeau, so the match doesn’t feel like it’s missing anything. I’d love to see these teams in a longer arena match. ***1/4 -

[1979-07-21-CWA-TV] Buddy Wayne & Ken Wayne vs Koko Ware & Pat Hutchinson
GOTNW posted a topic in July 1979
Koko took had the standard Memphis shine with a couple of armdrags and a Dropkick. He tagged in Hutchinson who was soon cut off by Buddy Wayne while bouncing off the ropes and was then easily disposed off. Hutchinson and Ken Wayne's stuff looked fine but continue being very impressed with Buddy Wayne, just an old fat dude that will beat the shit out of people with punches and knees, kinda like the 1979 Memphis Takayama. Fun little tag.-

[1979-07-14-CWA-TV] Koko Ware & Pat Hutchinson vs Ron Bass & Pete Austin
GOTNW posted a topic in July 1979
I sure as hell won't complain about a much with one control segment, that's how it should be. Bass and Austin just decimated Hutchinson, who played his part well, really leaning into everything whether it be a knee strike or a flapjack on the ropes. Fun squash.-

[1979-06-30-CWA-TV] Jerry Bryant & Koko Ware vs Larry Latham & Wayne Ferris
GOTNW posted a topic in June 1979
This was ok, pretty much every match here is gonna be worked shine-heat-comeback but how they go about it is always interesting to see. Shine was fun, with faces repeteadly countering the heel's holds and armdraggim them. Heat section was meh, Latham looked clumsy. I liked how they set up the finish with Koko trying to save his partner only to cost him the match by allowing the heels to double team on his partner because the ref was busy monitoring him. **1/4-**1/2-

Hard to write a novel and fresh comment on a match where you get the opening two minutes of pretty much......any match ever with lock-ups and hammerlocks and then Koko hits two nice Dropkicks for the win. The *wrestling* looked fine and I like how wrestlers often kinda tease kicking out after they get pinned. I'd give this match, like............52%. Still an average match but something that will give you a good impression of workers in it if you watch it.
