Lots of good stuff in this Cibernetico with the opening exchange between Ultimo Guerrero and Olimpico being especially good. Really fast and intricate knucklelock work. Lots of great athleticism on display throughout. Unfortunately there were quite a few botches, including Bucanero hitting an accidental(?) avalanche Powerbomb on Sendero and then just killing him with an avalanche brainbuster that seemed to have knocked him out cold. It kind of killed the crowd too because everyone was thinking that poor guy might be dead. Buccanero eliminating a bunch of guys added some intensity and the finish was good.

Pretty excellent Cibernetico with mostly undercard workers busting their ass. One good exchange after another and they used the dives sparingly which made them feel more important. They do a really good job building and teasing the eliminations and the last 10 minutes or so felt suitably epic. Also, this was before superkick and backcracker mania, so when it was time to drop bombs everyone was hitting cool suplexes, powerbombs and sentons. Olimpico looked super sharp again and it's a pity there's so little Damiancito online because he looked great. Also really liked Axxel/Sagrado who was like a Mini Santo hitting super athletic moves.

[1998-07-03-CMLL] Mr Aguila & Olimpico & Pantera vs Rey Bucanero & Ultimo Guerrero & Zumbido
Jetlag posted a topic in July 1998
On paper this doesn't look like anything grand and these guys all could easily just go braindead and have a generic trios with some nice moments, but instead we get a STORY~! and a fun unique match layout as Ultimo Guerrero and Mr. Aguila go tooth and nail at eachother whenever they are there together. UG appears to have watched some joshi tapes as he flings Aguila about with some violent hair snapmares before hitting a snug dropkick in the ropes and later a really beautiful judo suplex. Of course everyone in this match is also an athlete in the prime of their career so there are tons of insane armdrags, bumps and dives in the match. Liked the structure a lot with the 2nd fall being especially good avoiding the obvious rudo beatdown. It ends with a huge dive train and UG and Aguila once again squaring off and this is clearly a feud people need to get into. Top tier popcorn wrestling with a brain, why would you watch anything else?-

[1999-07-18-Ruleta de la Muerte] Blue Panther & Olimpico vs Rey Bucanero & Shocker

A long all matwork trios with these guys, how can you go wrong? This was some sweet, sweet pro wrestling. You know it's awesome when they go back to hitting the mat in the 2nd and 3rd fall. One of those times Terry shows how good he can be on the mat, and Olimpico looked pretty good aswell, completely different from the worker he is these days, losing the mask really changes a wrestler I guess. The Navarro/Panther matchup was dynamite. They were like two spry young grapplers here, trying all kinds of freaked out twisting rolling leg locks and it was cool as hell. At one point, Navarro tried a cross armbar, which Panther defended for dear life, with all the other wrestlers coming into the ring to urge them on and a big Panther chant breaking out from the crowd. Only in lucha. I also really liked Villano's matwork as he is a chunky barrel chasted dude with mat athleticism and he steamrolled Panther in several cool ways. Ultimo was mostly fine but the least great guy in the match by far. He was integrated well, however. Boss match overall, the best trios of the 2010s for matwork maybe.
