  1. Excellent match. After Ronda's disappointing show at the Rumble, she totally made up for this here. Ronda was clearly pissed off by the crowd pre match and thus brought tons of aggression in this, going at Bayley early on like a rabid dog leading to some cool scrambles for the arm bar. Then Ronda's selling came into play when she twisted her leg in the corner, Bayley zeros in on the leg, hitting a nasty dragon screw in the ropes. Ronda selling her leg and arm (from Sasha's rumble and Bayley's initial arm work early in the match) superbly. Bayley was great here too, loved her work here and she did a great job at the limb work. Glad to see Bayley back into the mix again. Tons of fight and struggle in this. Nice little rough match here. ***3/4
  2. THIS WAS AN ABSOLUTE HOOT. Other than a few comedic moments where Steph managed to defend an Armbar from Ronda, this was so brilliantly put together. GREAT FIP segment w/ Angle - I knew this was gonna be all about HHH keeping him away from tagging to Ronda as long as he could & it was very enjoyable to watch. HHH was very good working the heat on him, and when it was time for Angle to get some offense in, HHH was bumping & selling like he was fucking Ric Flair or something. Steph cutting Ronda off before she could tag in a few times was awesome & when she FINALLY got that hot tag, HOLY SHIT. WHAT A DAMN HOT TAG IT WAS. Ronda's meanface is absolutely incredible & her throwing Steph around was so, so, SO enjoyable. Her beating the SHIT out of HHH was amazing & HHH's selling of it was also amazing. The whole finishing stretch w/ the crowd going crazy, nobody caring about rules anymore PWG style was absolutely INCREDIBLE. WHAT A DAMN SPECTACLE. ****1/2
  3. Ronda's run of inexplicably good matches continues here. Although, I thought Nikki was fantastic here. Veteran who holds the match together isn't a phrase that I'd thought I would use to describe a Nikki Bella performance but that's what happened here. Even Brie, after being pretty awful since coming back, did a very nice job here working as a second. I really liked how Ronda kept herself vulnerable by being too cocky at times thus leaving herself open to cheap shots from the Bellas. She still had a few bad moments as she took too long to set up some of the bigger spots and she's clearly using constant trash talk to cover up obvious spot calling. In the end though, this match worked much better as a main event than it looked like on paper and it definitely should be commended for that. ***3/4
  4. This match was absolute perfection. Not only Nia really stepped up her game, looking like the monster she should always play right from the get-go, but Ronda... is bordering on Volk Han levels of incredible. The bumping, the facial expressions, the comebacks. She is just perfect and does little things that many other more experienced people don't do. This was almost 10 minutes long and it was a complete blast. Bliss interferes in the match, cashing in the MitB contract. While it does keep both Nia and Rousey looking like two incredibly strong wrestlers and it does keep the mistery intact (Nia didn't tap to RR and Rousey wasn't beaten), Alexa being the focus of the Women's Division almost as much as Charlotte (who also was pushed way too strong) is... iffy. With that said, fucking masterpiece. Not even Coach's all time bad commentary hurts this.

    Fantasy Booking Ronda Rousey

I've been developing an idea which I think could bring wrestling back to the mainstream, like the "Rock n Wrestling" build-up or the Monday Night Wars. The only issue being that it doesn't really involve any WWE talent. Anyway, you book a celebrity actor who is known for working the general public and basically book them like Andy Kaufman in Memphis. Initially, I thought of Sasha Baron Cohen, since his "work" in Borat is the stuff of legends. He also has the acting chops to pull this off and get heel heat. A more current name would probably be Shia LeBeouf, who has generated more WTF moments for gossip sites than anyone. I'd say Cohen probably works better with his lanky physique and mic skills. So your heel celebrity comes in to WWE and does the whole "I only wrestle women" bit, goes over all the Divas and even wins the Divas title. He has to always cheat to win so it's not a burial of the entire division. Then one night while Rousey's in attendance, the male heel celebrity goes too far after a match and is going to injure a Diva until Rousey comes out and puts him in an armbar and breaks his arm. Celebrity heel wears a cast for months and months and threatens to sue, etc. Then they go on The Late Show with Steven Colbert and Rousey ends up knocking him out. So we have the blow-off match a WrestleMania, maybe a mixed tag of some sort. Thoughts?
