  1. Ah, 2002, when Shocker was a great worker. I really liked the brief opening matwork, with Shocker flipping around and Guerrero catching him in a great flash Fujiwara Armbar. 2nd fall was short but had UG working Shockers arm over with hurty wristlocks and takedowns. Then Shocker made this great comeback and trying to boot his head off. Shocker looked damn good here, even throwing a great punch combo. The 3rd fall was your typical UG end run where they exchange big dramatic kickouts. Not my favourite thing but it was awesome to watch these two crush eachother with huge chunky guy highspots.
  2. This was another gem from the lucha trove. This was for the CMLL tag titles, but way scrappier than your average title match. Charles & Wagner Jr. brought the BEEF and immediately began pasting their opponents with stiff looking lariats and chops. The young hotness of Shocker & Niebla had to use their agility and wit to survive which lead to some really good sequences. They were also much sneakier than your typical vanilla technicos, as they ended up doing everything in their power to win the belts, including double teaming their opponents and interfering whenever needed. It lead to a bristling hot 3rd fall in which the crowds favour swung back and forth as the technicos took out Charles Jr. but then Wagner Jr. threw down bringing out the deadly Wagner Driver (which Dr. Morales calls a Martinete). The finish was another crazy move and a great moment. Controversial lucha at it's finest.
  3. This was pretty great. I love chaotic trios brawls and this was a neat take on that, everyone brough it. Rush is of course a great dick and was a great leading rudo, Pierroth gets a lot of criticisms thrown his way but he seems to be really good at hitting people and that's all I could ask for. Escorpion was awesome at cutting people off, Terrible is a guy you always want to have in this kind of match, he throws a great looking punch. I haven't really had an opinion on La Mascara other than that he's associated with wrestlers I like but he was pretty good here, I liked how he tried to fight back when Pierroth and Rey Escorpion would hold him down instead of just taking it, trying to kick Rush and spitting on him. Shocker was mostly a punching bag. The finish was excellently done and played up pretty much every screwy CMLL finish there is. ****
  4. Talk about it here.
