After the match, Frenchy's Legion attacked the Caribbean Connection as they were leaving the ring. They handcuffed Chicky Starr to the top rope and forced him to watch as Lefebvre & Charland took turns beating up Colon with the kendo stick that Kendo Nagasaki had left ringside after the opening match. The referees were able to stop Frenchy's Legion and Colon was helped out backstage International TV Championship: Gino Brito © beat Samu (w/Eddy "The Brain" Creatchman) to retain Grudge Match: George "The Animal" Steele (w/Frenchy Martin) beat Hercules Ayala -Billy Robinson & Bob Backlund beat The Creatchman Family (King Tonga & Sheik Ali, w/Eddy "The Brain" Creatchman) INTERNATIONAL TAG TEAM CHAMPIONSHIP: The Wild Samoans beat The Rougeau Brothers to become the first International Tag Team Champions. At the end of the match, referee Luigi Macera was accidentally superkicked by Raymond Rougeau as he was aiming for Afa. The Rougeaus were about to finish off Afa with La Bombe Rougeau when 2 masked men with cowboys hats ran in and one of them hit Jacques with a pair of brass knuckles. Raymond left the ring to chase off the masked men and left his brother Jacques taking the pin, allowing the Samoans to win the titles. SPECIAL ATTRACTION, NON-TITLE MATCH: Dino Bravo beat AWA World Champion Ken Patera (w/Eddy "The Brain" Creatchman) by disqualification. Dino revealed during his entrance that Billy Robinson would be in his corner to make sure Eddy Creatchman wouldn't interfere. A pretty brutal affair as both men's strength was the story of the match. Bravo was about to win the match against Patera by putting him in a bearhug when Eddy Creatchman climbed on the apron, swinging his cane. Robinson got in the ring and took the cane away from Creatchman.....BUT HIT DINO BRAVO IN THE BACK WITH CREATCHMAN'S CANE. The referee had no choice but to call for the bell as both Robinson & Patera double-teamed Dino Bravo. Robinson put Bravo in a backbreaker and refused to let him go until Creatchman told him so. Before leaving the ring, we see a money exchange between Creatchman and Billy Robinson and it looks like The Brain paid off Robinson to turn on Bravo! INTERNATIONAL HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPIONSHIP: Greg Valentine (w/Frenchy Martin & "Dr. D" David Schultz) beat Rick Martel by referee stoppage to become the undisputed International Heavyweight Champion. The turning point in the match came during an outside altercation between Frenchy, Schultz & Martel. Martel chased Frenchy & Schultz but Schultz sidestepped Martel and Martel connected head first on the ring post. Martel's cut was pretty serious as Martel wore the proverbial crimson mask for the rest of the match. Valentine took over but eventually Martel came back and mounted some offense. He was even able to lock Valentine into his trademark Boston Crab but with all the blood loss, Martel got dizzy and couldn't maintain the hold. Valentine dragged Martel in the middle of the ring and locked in the Figure Four Leglock. Martel held on as long as he could but eventually, passed out to the combination of blood loss & pain, leading referee Adrien Desbois to call off the match. Fans in the Montreal Forum stood in shock as Greg Valentine was officially given the International Heavyweight Championship and celebrated with Frenchy Martin & Dr. D while some wrestlers and officials checked up on Rick Martel to end the card. I wonder where the Billy Robinson turn leaves Backlund? Who were the masked Cowboys? Can Frenchy and Eddie Creatchman be stopped? Can't wait to see where this all goes. SirEdger Posted July 7, 2016 Author Report Share Posted July 7, 2016 LUTTE INTERNATIONALE TV Taped at CHLT-TV Studios, Sherbrooke, QC July 7th, 1984 (After the opening credits, we go to the broadcast booth as Guy Hauray & Édouard Carpentier are waiting for the show to begin) Guy Hauray: Ladies and gentlemen, welcome to Lutte Internationale as we’re still feeling the aftermath of a controversial supercard at the Montreal Forum. Not only did the fans didn’t see the International Heavyweight Champion they wanted but most definitely not the International Tag Team Champions that they wanted. Édouard Carpentier: Indeed, Guy, it wasn’t exactly how our fans had envisioned this show to end. Instead of seeing Rick Martel and The Rougeau Brothers being champions, they had to watch Greg Valentine and the Wild Samoans become champions. And in the case of the International Tag Team Championship, it was thanks to two masked men who cost the Rougeaus the match. Guy Hauray: Whoever those masked men are, they’re most definitely public enemy #1 here in Lutte Internationale for many fans. And we’re gonna see those masked men in action in just a few moments as they’re called The Masked Cowboys. But before we do, let’s go back to the Montreal Forum to see exactly what happened. *************EXCLUSIVE FOOTAGE****************** (Footage of the final moments of the International Tag Team Championship match is shown as we pick up from the moment Raymond Rougeau accidentally hits referee Luigi Macera with the Savate Kick while aiming for Afa. We see the Rougeau Brothers throwing Sika outside and placing Afa in position for La Bombe Rougeau when two masked men with cowboy hats come through the crowd and one of them trips Jacques Rougeau. Raymond drop s Afa and starts fighting with the other while the one who tripped Jacques decks him with a pair of brass knuckles. Eventually, Raymond chases away the two masked men and completely forgets about his brother Jacques in the ring. Afa only has to make the cover as referee Luigi Macera comes back to his senses and counts 3 for the Wild Samoans’ victory. Eddy Creatchman is jubilating as he hands over the titles to his Samoans.) (Back in studio, we see The Masked Cowboys making their way to the ring to a chorus of boos as we’re getting ready for our first match.) Match #1 Buzz Tyler & Pete Doherty vs The Masked Cowboys The Masked Cowboys are dressed with full body silver suits with dark blue stars on them with half silver/half blue masks. Guy & Édouard mention that they’re simply known as Masked Cowboy #1 & Masked Cowboy #2. Unfortunately for Tyler & Doherty, they’re much less lucky than they were a week ago when they beat Bobby & Rudy Kay to advance in the International TV Championship battle royal. The Masked Cowboys make quick work out of Tyler & Doherty, finishing Tyler off with a Spike Piledriver to get the victory. Winners: The Masked Cowboys (After the match, Édouard Carpentier attempts to get some words from The Masked Cowboys but they don’t even stop at the booth and directly go backstage.) Guy: Well, Eddie, looks like we won’t have any explanations from The Masked Cowboys about their actions and whoever they are, they better be careful because the Rougeaus are coming after them! Édouard: We know that later today, both Raymond & little brother Armand will be in action so I’m hoping for the Cowboys that they’ll be out of the building by then. Guy: When we come back, Hercules Ayala is in action! ***************COMMERCIAL BREAK************ Match #2 Ted Oates vs Hercules Ayala It’s a visibly angry Hercules Ayala who stepped into the ring this week, clearly upset at losing to George “The Animal” Steele at the Montreal Forum on Thursday night. Hercules takes his frustrations on Ted Oates and once again, it’s a quick outing as Ayala finishes off Oates with the Gorilla Slam. Winner: Hercules Ayala *************COMMERCIAL BREAK************ Match #3 Kendo Nagasaki vs Armand Rougeau Nagasaki is coming off a win over Leo Burke at the Forum on Thursday and he’s looking to continue forward with his momentum. The younger Rougeau sibling proves to be a worthy opponent for the mysterious masked Oriental man. Armand attempts a top rope dropkick but misses, allowing Nagasaki to hit his Kamikaze Crash to score the pinfall victory. Winner: Kendo Nagasaki (After the match, Kendo Nagasaki grabs his kendo stick and circles around Armand. Kendo delivers some stiff shots on Armand’s back but it doesn’t take long before big brother Raymond hits the ring and unleashes on Nagasaki. Raymond grabs Nagasaki’s kendo stick and smacks it on Nagasaki’s head, eventually splitting the stick open. As Nagasaki flees the ring, Raymond checks on brother Armand and steps outside the ring. Édouard Carpentier gets up and goes to speak to Raymond.) Raymond Rougeau (grabbing the mic from Carpentier’s hands): Je pense pas que j’ai besoin de dire comment Jacques pis moi on se sent présentement. Jacques est pas icitte aujourd’hui à cause de ce que les deux peureux masqués lui ont fait mais moi, j’suis icitte pis yé pas question que je parte avant d’avoir réglé le cas des 2 cowboys! (Translation : I don’t need to say how Jacques and I are feeling right now. Jacques isn’t here today because of what those 2 cowards did to him but I am and there’s no way I’m leaving until I take care of those two cowboys!) (Raymond gets back inside the ring and indeed someone comes out, but it’s not The Masked Cowboys but Eddy Creatchman and one half of the International Tag Team Champions, Afa. Eddy Creatchman goes to Édouard Carpentier to speak on the mic.) Eddy Creatchman: Comme d’habitude, le p’tit Raymond, fils à papa, qui braille quand quelque chose fait pas son affaire. Vous avez jamais été capables de prendre la défaite comme des hommes, les Rougeau. C’était de même avec ton oncle Johnny pis ça s’est transmis de père en fils! Que ça te plaise ou non, mes Samoans, y sont les champions par équipe pis y le sont pour rester. Mais si tu tiens tant que ça à manger une autre volée drette là, ça va faire plaisir à Afa de le faire. (Translation : As usual, little Raymond, daddy’s little boy, crying & whining when something doesn’t work out his way. You’ve never been able to accept defeat like men, you Rougeaus. But if you want to get your ass kicked right now, Afa will be more than happy to oblige.) (Eddy Creatchman orders Afa to get in the ring and it looks like we’re gonna have an impromptu match!) Match #4 Raymond Rougeau vs Afa (w/Eddy Creatchman) Raymond is on fire in this one and he jumps right on Afa from the get go. A very physical match between Raymond & Afa as Raymond puts aside his scientific knowledge to adopt a more brawling body of work, allowing him to let out his frustrations following the ending of his match at the Forum. Raymond goes for his Savate Kick and Afa pulls referee Luigi Macera in front of him but Rougeau stops before he hits him. Eddy Creatchman climbs on the ring apron to distract the referee but Raymond decks him with a right hand. Raymond turns around and Afa grabs him for his Samoan Drop but Raymond sneaks behind and hits his Savate Kick to get the pinfall victory over Afa. Winner: Raymond Rougeau ******COMMERCIAL BREAK + PROMO FOR THE QUEBEC CITY CARD AT THE COLISÉE****** Match #5 International Heavyweight Championship Greg Valentine © (w/Frenchy Martin) vs Gilles Poisson Nothing too unpredictable in this one. Standard first title defense for Frenchy’s Legion leader. Valentine dominates this one almost from start to finish, with Poisson getting a bit of offense. Valentine finishes the match by submitting Poisson to the Figure Four Leglock. Winner: Greg Valentine (After the match, Greg Valentine goes to the broadcast booth) Greg Valentine: I don’t know if any of you have seen Rick Martel since Thursday night but when you will, tell him that the champ said hi! HAHAHA! (Valentine leaves the broadcast booth as quickly as he came to it) ************COMMERCIAL BREAK*************** (Back from the break, Guy Hauray & Édouard Carpentier are hyping next week’s show) Guy Hauray: Before we wrap this program up, we’d like to invite you, wrestling fans, to stick around for the whole month of July because you’ll be in for a treat. (The camera pans to the side as we see Leo Burke being attacked by Creatchman Family members Samu & Sheik Ali with Eddy Creatchman directing traffic. Burke is trying to fight both Creatchman stable members but obviously Samu & Ali are proving to be too strong and as strong as Burke is himself, the numbers are too much. Burke is sent in the ring by Samu and Eddy Creatchman gives Ali some matches.) Guy: Eddie, what the hell is going on? Édouard: It doesn’t look good for Leo Burke. Somebody needs to do something! (Samu is now holding Burke while Sheik Ali now has the matches in his hand. Ali lights up a fireball...but Burke dodges and Samu gets blinded!!! Everyone in the ring is shocked as Samu is writhing in pain. Burke is able to escape the ring while Eddy Creatchman is admonishing Sheik Ali for yet another mistake on Samu! Guy Hauray: Hello, wrestling fans and welcome to Lutte Internationale and we’ve got quite the program for you again this week. Last week, after the controversial appearance of the Masked Cowboys, we still don’t know who they are and why they cost the Rougeau Brothers the International Tag Team Championships at the Forum. Édouard Carpentier: Perhaps we’ll be a bit more lucky since both of them are here again this week. And as I understand it, Masked Cowboy #2 will be in action in a very special match tonight Guy Hauray: Indeed, Eddie, since Masked Cowboy #2 will compete in a Brass Knuckles on a Pole Match a little bit later tonight in a match in which the first man to grab the brass knuckles will have the right to use them. But first, we’ll kick this episode off with something we had promised you last week; some ladies in action as they’ll be featured on Lutte Internationale TV throughout the month of July! Let’s get started! Match #1 Special Attraction Susan Star vs Leilani Kai Both ladies are a bit tentative to start the match but eventually, Susan Star’s quickness allows her to take control early. However, Leilani Kai’s power proves to be a problem for Star and Kai now has the momentum. Kai attempted her trademark diving splash on Star but Star dodges and Kai missed. Kai gets up dizzy and Susan Star hits the dropkick to score the pinfall victory in this ladies’ showcase. Winner: Susan Star ***********COMMERCIAL BREAK + PROMO AD FOR HOUSE SHOW IN MATAGAMI, QUEBEC TONIGHT*********** (Back from the break, we see that the pole has been set up and a pair of brass knuckles is hanging from it.) Guy : Up next, Eddie, a match requested by the Masked Cowboys themselves as Masked Cowboy #2 will be in action in this one. Édouard: It’s like those Masked Cowboys believe they’re immune or protected to rules here in Lutte Internationale. They’ve been here only 1 week and they’re already making demands. Guy: Nevertheless, the Montreal Athletic Commission has agreed to this so whether we like it or not, it’s gonna happen and it’s gonna happen right now. Match #2 Brass Knuckles on a Pole Match Masked Cowboy #2 (w/Masked Cowboy #1) vs Buzz Tyler Buzz Tyler tries as much as he can to go for the brass knuckles but Masked Cowboy #2 doesn’t even let him approach the pole. Masked Cowboy #2 is dominating Tyler from pillar to post and he’s toying with him. Finally, Masked Cowboy #2 goes to the pole and climbs on the turnbuckle underneath the pole to grab the brass knuckles. Tyler barely has time to get up that he’s getting clocked by the brass knuckles, allowing Cowboy #2 to claim the easy victory. Winner: Masked Cowboy #2 (After the match, once again, Édouard Carpentier is attempting to get comments from the Cowboys but they refuse to do so again. However, this time, Armand Rougeau, Jacques & Raymond’s little brother shows up at the broadcast booth, forcing the Cowboys to back up a little.) Armand Rougeau: Si vous pensez que vous allez vous sauver ce coup-là, ça se passera pas de même! Vous avez volé les ceintures à mes frères Jacques pis Raymond au Forum de Montréal la semaine passée pis c’est quelque chose que ma famille vous pardonnera jamais, peu importe qui vous êtes. Mes frères peuvent peut-être pas avoir les ceintures mais moi, j’ai l’intention de me payer la traite avec un de vous deux drette là! (Translation : If you think you’re gonna get away this time, that’s not gonna happen! You stole the tag team titles from my brothers Jacques & Raymond at the Montreal Forum last week and this is something my family will never ever forgive you for, whoever you are. My brothers might not have the belts right now but I’m fully intending on spoiling your fun right now!) (The Masked Cowboys don’t seem to be willing to fight but in no time, Armand Rougeau is in the ring, inviting any of them to step up into the ring. Both men are consulting and the crowd is all over them. Eventually, Masked Cowboy #1 decides to get into the ring and accept Armand Rougeau’s challenge. Referee Luigi Macera gets in the ring too and the match is officially underway.) Match #3 Special Challenge Match Armand Rougeau vs Masked Cowboy #1 (w/Masked Cowboy #2) Clearly, Masked Cowboy #1 wasn’t prepared for this match and this works all in the favour of the younger Rougeau sibling to start things off. Rougeau unleashes his frustrations on Masked Cowboy #1. Rougeau sends Masked Cowboy #1 retreating outside a few times and it finally looks like Armand will get retribution for his family. Masked Cowboy #1 gets back in the ring and gets the upperhand for a short while but Armand comes back and is about to get the victory with his trademark dropkick when all of a sudden, Masked Cowboy #2 climbs on the ring apron to distract referee Luigi Macera. While he’s arguing with the referee, #2 throws the pair of brass knuckles he used in the previous match to #1. Armand shoves the referee aside and strikes #2, who falls off the apron. While Macera admonishes #2, Armand turns around and is knocked out by #1 and his pair of brass knuckles. Masked Cowboy #1 throws the smoking gun out of the ring and covers Armand Rougeau to get the victory. Winner: Masked Cowboy #1 (The Masked Cowboys don’t waste any time and flee the scene of the crime while referee Luigi Macera checks on Armand Rougeau, who also fell victim to those mysterious Masked Cowboys’ shenanigans.) Guy Hauray: Once again, the Masked Cowboys get the best out of the Rougeaus, this time, their little brother Armand. And yet, we still have no idea on their identities. Édouard Carpentier: Either way, whoever those two men are, they clearly must deeply hate the Rougeaus for constantly getting involved in their business in the past couple of days. Guy Hauray: When we come back, Eddy Creatchman has requested some time to settle an issue within his Creatchman Family! Stay with us! ******COMMERCIAL BREAK + PROMO AD FOR NEXT CARD AT THE COLISÉE DE QUÉBEC ON JULY 20TH**** CONFIRMED FOR QUEBEC CITY HOUSE SHOW ON JULY 20TH, THE MAIN EVENT: STRETCHER MATCH Rick Martel vs Samu (Back from the break, Guy Hauray and Édouard Carpentier are standing in front of their broadcast booth.) Guy: Eddie, when we went off the air last week, we witnessed an unfortunate accident as one third of the Wild Samoans, Samu was the recipient of a fireball from his Creatchman Family stablemate, Sheik Ali as Ali was aiming for Leo Burke. Édouard: Despite our feelings for the Creatchman Family members, we never like to see situations like that happen and always hoping for the best. Now, last week, the plan was actually simple: to take out Leo Burke before his match against Samu and send a statement to the rest of the locker room. But, unfortunately, this didn’t happen exactly like that because Sheik Ali made a colossal mistake and nearly blinded Samu. THE GREAT SAMU. You might not realize it, Carpentier, but this man right here is a future International Heavyweight Champion. This man right here has Rick Martel’s number. No matter where, no matter when, Rick Martel can’t seem to be able to beat Samu. That’s why I felt it was important to make this statement last week as the contract was signed shortly after the supercard at the Forum and Rick Martel needed to see what was going to happen to him at the Colisée on July 20th as he will be stretchered out of his hometown. But instead, because of my Sheik Ali, it was the other way around. Samu left this building on a stretcher, nearly blinded. Now, thankfully, the doctors have told me that Samu will be good to go for July 20 in Quebec City and he will defeat Rick Martel in this Stretcher Match. All Samu needs to do is to take the rest of the week off until next Friday. However, I’m gonna allow Samu to make that statement again right here, right now. Ali, get here. (Sheik Ali seems hesitant but makes a step forward) Eddy Creatchman: Closer, NOW! (Ali reluctantly obliges) Eddy Creatchman: Ali, when I made you a member of my Family, it came with some high expectations. To be a member of my Family, you have to be trustworthy. You have to be devious. But most of all, you must be at the top of your game. And last week, you weren’t at the top of your game and it almost cost one of your brothers his career. Therefore, your actions need to be dealt with accordingly. (Eddy takes his cane and hands it to Samu) Eddy Creatchman: Ali, get on your knees. (Sheik Ali seems hesitant and the crowd encourages him to defy The Brain) Eddy Creatchman: Ali, do you wanna remain in my Family or not? I SAID GET DOWN ON YOUR KNEES, NOW! (Ali once again reluctantly gets on his knees. Eddy nods his head and then, Samu gives a good whack on Sheik Ali’s back with the cane! Ali cringes in pain as Samu has that bewildered look so common with his fellow Samoans.) Eddy Creatchman: One more, Samu! (Samu delivers another stiff shot on Ali’s back. Ali cringes in pain again but is still up.) Eddy Creatchman: That wasn’t enough. Samu, one more shot! (Samu hits Sheik Ali for a third time, and this time, Creatchman’s cane cracks on Ali’s back! Sheik Ali goes down in pain, holding his back.) Eddy Creatchman: Now, you see, Carpentier, that’s how we deal with mistakes in the Creatchman Family. But that also shows how much the Creatchman Family means to Sheik Ali to accept to take this corporal punishment and atone for his sins. Sheik Ali knows that it hurts me as much as it hurts him to do this. But in the end, that’s the price to pay for hurting one of your own. From this moment on, Sheik Ali will be a different Sheik Ali and he will channel this punishment on his opponents. As for you, Rick Martel, on July 20 at the Colisée, Samu will humiliate you in front of your own family & friends and in your hometown. But no worries for Greg Valentine as we’ll leave a little something for him so he can finish you off! (The Creatchman Family walks away from the ring, Sheik Ali behind and holding his lower back as he retreats with Creatchman & Samu backstage) Guy: Eddie, what do you make of what we just saw? Édouard: I think it’s obvious now that Eddy Creatchman won’t accept nor tolerate any mistakes from his protégés. The Brain seems now obsessed to prove that Samu is a more worthy contender to the International Heavyweight Championship than Rick Martel is, despite the events that transpired at the Forum and what Martel has accomplished elsewhere. Guy: We’ll see what will happen in the next few days and we’ll keep an eye on what happens at the Colisée on July 20th but when we come back, Bob Backlund & George “The Animal” Steele duke it out in our main event! *********COMMERCIAL BREAK*********** Match #4 Main Event George “The Animal” Steele (w/Frenchy Martin) vs Bob Backlund It seems like both men are still feeling the effects of the 2-on-3 Handicap Singapore Cane on a Pole Match that took place a week ago in Sarnia, Ontario. Backlund still shows some battle scars on his back and that’s the area that The Animal is targeting early in the match. Frenchy Martin is very active outside the ring, directing traffic and instructing Steele to work on Bob Backlund’s back and rib area. George Steele is in complete control as he attempts to beat Bob Backlund with his own finishing maneuver, the Crossface Chicken Wing but who better than the master himself to reverse it and he locks The Animal into the Crossface Chicken Wing! Steele is absolutely helpless as Backlund is backing up in the middle of the ring and Steele has no choice but to tap out! Crowd goes wild as Backlund gets the victory but Frenchy Martin sneaks behind in the ring with a kendo stick and is about to hit Backlund when Backlund turns around and spots Frenchy with the kendo stick! Frenchy drops the kendo stick and pleads with Backlund while Backlund grabs the kendo stick! Backlund is about to swing the kendo stick at Frenchy when George Steele pulls Frenchy out of the ring by his ankle and they retreat backstage. The show ends with Bob Backlund inviting George Steele & Frenchy Martin back in the ring, kendo stick in hand. À LA SEMAINE PROCHAINE SI DIEU LE VEUT! During the match, Samu attacked Martel's ribs multiple times with Eddy Creatchman's cane and later, a chair. Guy Hauray: Hello, wrestling fans, and welcome to Lutte Internationale TV! On this week’s episode, we will crown the next contender to Gino Brito’s International TV Championship in a battle royal. Also tonight, once again, the Masked Cowboys have made a special request for a No Holds Barred Match as they’ll be facing Gilles Poisson & Billy Robinson. However, Eddie, given Billy Robinson’s behaviour in the past couple of weeks, we can honestly doubt that this is gonna end well. Édouard Carpentier: That’s an understatement, Guy. However, Billy Robinson is contractually obligated into those matches he signed before turning on Dino Bravo at the Montreal Forum and Billy apparently will honor those commitments until something is done between he and Dino. Guy Hauray: In the meantime, we’re ready for action so let’s get to the ring for our opening match! Match #1 Jerry Oates vs Baron Von Raschke The Baron is getting more and more positive reactions as weeks go by and he seems very motivated in the ring this week. Von Raschke doesn’t waste too much time as he gets a decisive victory with his patented Claw to get the submission victory. Winner: Baron Von Raschke *******COMMERCIAL BREAK********* (We see some footage shot in a locker room in which Sherri Martel is standing in after one of her recent matches. ) Sherri Martel: So, we can now put the rumors to rest. It is true; I, Sherri Martel, am coming to Lutte Internationale and I’m not coming alone. Of course, I’ll be here next week with my all-star ladies tag team for Lutte Internationale TV as we’ll prove without a shadow of a doubt who are the best women in the world of professional wrestling. But this isn’t only about next week, it’s also about the future. What we have planned for the future will be glorious. And it’s only fitting that we will do all of this in a territory that is so hot right now. A mecca in the world of professional wrestling that is Montreal. It’s only fitting that a hot territory becomes....hotter. Isn’t that right, hotstuff? (A figure emerges from the shadows and it’s none other than “HOTSTUFF” EDDIE GILBERT.) Eddie Gilbert: Oh yeah, Sherri. Soon. Very soon, it’s gonna be hot in Montreal. And Lutte Internationale will never be the same again. (We cut back to the broadcast booth as Guy & Édouard seem legitimately shocked by what they just saw.) Guy: If this territory couldn’t get more action, it seems that Sherri Martel isn’t coming alone soon and she’s gonna bring Eddie Gilbert with her! Édouard: I don’t know about you, Guy, but this could mean a lot of trouble for many more stars here. I’m thinking about Ricky, Dino, the Rougeaus. They have their hands full as it is already. We know the reputation of Eddie Gilbert in the wrestling world and he’s coming with bad intentions. Guy: All of our questions will be answered as soon as Eddie Gilbert shows up here but now, it’s time for our International TV Championship #1 Contender Battle Royal! Match #2 International TV Championship #1 Contender Battle Royal Featuring Leo Burke, Bobby Bass, Doug Somers, Sheik Ali, Armand Rougeau, Carlos Colon, Chicky Starr, David Schultz, Mad Dog Lefebvre, Richard Charland, Bobby Kay, Rudy Kay, Kendo Nagasaki, Hercules Ayala, Bob Backlund & George Steele The International TV Champion Gino Brito is sitting at commentary with Guy Hauray & Édouard Carpentier during the battle royal. Following the events of last week’s episode, Bob Backlund & George “The Animal” Steele are at each other’s throats and they actually are the first ones to be eliminated as they simultaneously throw each other over the top rope. As expected, Frenchy’s Legion use the numbers game to clear the ring and soon we have Schultz, Lefebvre, Charland alone with Carlos Colon & Chicky Starr in the ring. Colon & Starr are able to eliminate Richard Charland from the match and we’re now down to Schultz, Lefebvre, Colon & Starr. All 4 guys are trading blows and Starr tries one high flying move too many as his attempted flying cross body lands him over the top rope outside. Down to 3 men now, Schultz & Lefebvre are working on Carlos Colon and it seems like they’re gonna be able to oust Colon until Schultz accidentally big boots Lefebvre while aiming for Colon. That allows Colon to eliminate Mad Dog Lefebvre and we’re down to our final 2. Gino Brito now stands up as he watches the final moments of the match unfolding. Carlos Colon seems to be reinvigorated and is charging on David Schultz. Colon nails a huge dropkick sending Dr. D to the brink of elimination. But Schultz nails Colon with a big boot and scoops him up to nail Snake Eyes on him. A staggering Colon is then sent over the top rope and David Schultz has won the battle royal. Schultz is taunting Brito in the ring while Frenchy Martin has joined Dr. D to celebrate with him. Words are exchanged but nothing else happens. Winner & #1 Contender for the International TV Championship: “Dr. D” David Schultz ***********COMMERCIAL BREAK******************* (Back from the commercial break, we’re going back to the broadcast booth as Guy & Édouard are discussing the upcoming match) Guy: Now that we’ve crowned a new #1 contender for the TV Championship, we’re now switching gears to the Masked Cowboys situation. Once again, the Masked Cowboys have requested a special match and it’s gonna be Street Fight Rules in this one against Gilles Poisson & Billy Robinson Édouard : Like we’ve said at the top of the show, I don’t know how it can end will for Gilles Poisson but you’ve gotta hope that Billy Robinson is a man of his word and will keep his promise. Guy: We’ll see about that because looks like they’re already in the ring! (Indeed, Gilles Poisson & Billy Robinson are making their way to the ring. Robinson is asking for the ring announcer’s microphone.) Billy Robinson: Okay, okay, listen, lad. I know that you might not be trusting me because of what happened between me and Dino Bravo at the Forum the other night but this stuff is between me and him. I committed myself contractually to be your tag team partner for this match because it was the right thing to do. I’m still an honourable man, so you don’t have any worries to have here, Fish. This wasn’t supposed to be the match we signed for but you can trust me. I’ve got your back, lad. (Gilles Poisson seems to be a bit hesitant but after a few seconds, he shakes Robinson’s hand and we see The Masked Cowboys making their way to the ring for the match.) Match #3 Street Fight Rules Gilles Poisson & Billy Robinson vs The Masked Cowboys As promised, Billy Robinson is standing by Gilles Poisson in the early parts of the match and they fight side-by-side. But it doesn’t take long for Billy Robinson’s true colors to show up again and club Poisson behind the back and leaving the ring. Robinson stands at ringside as The Masked Cowboys are literally destroying poor Gilles Poisson. As expected, The Masked Cowboys then make short work out of Poisson by hitting their Spike Piledriver on Poisson to get the victory. Winners: The Masked Cowboys (The match ends and Robinson comes back in the ring to join the Cowboys in beating up Poisson. However, out of nowhere, Dino Bravo storms the ring with a chair in hand, chasing Robinson & the Cowboys away. Bravo and Robinson exchange words with each other as Bravo dares Robinson to get back in the ring but of course, Robinson wants no part of Dino. However, the distraction allows King Tonga & Eddy “The Brain” Creatchman to show up and Tonga attacks Bravo from behind!) Guy: King Tonga with the sneak attack on Dino Bravo, Eddie. The Brain once again seizing the opportunity as one of his men has attacked Dino! Édouard: And it looks like our main event has already started, Guy! Can Dino recover from this attack? Match #4 Main Event King Tonga (w/Eddy “The Brain” Creatchman) vs Dino Bravo King Tonga’s surprise assault on Dino Bravo gives him the early advantage in the match as Eddy Creatchman shouts instructions to his protégé. Tonga spends the majority of the match working on Bravo’s neck to weaken his upper body and prevent him to use his famed Canadian Backbreaker submission. It will finally take a missed 2nd rope headbutt from Tonga for Dino to regain the advantage. Dino feeds off the crowd’s energy to mount a comeback and trade fists with King Tonga. As expected, Eddy Creatchman tries to get involved in the match and climbs on the ring apron but Dino decks him with a solid right hand and neutralizes him for the rest of the match. The end of the match comes when Dino Bravo is able to hit a beautiful flying cross body block on King Tonga, allowing him to secure the pinfall victory. Winner: Dino Bravo (Billy Robinson comes back again at ringside but keeps his distance as Dino Bravo invites him again to step inside the ring. SirEdger Posted July 27, 2016 Author Report Share Posted July 27, 2016 Well, for Carlos, I took him in part because Lutte Internationale had a great working relationship with WWC in Porto Rico so it was a natural fit for me to get him when I could.
