Apart from the main events, the first couple of months under George Scott are pretty weak, but then it's mostly gold until Ole gets the book in 1990. The syndication was honestly pretty weak in this time period. Watch Power Hour and Saturday Night, and you end up seeing about 90% of what you need to see. That's a character detail that kind of gets lost in adaptation but it makes that a character Batista would be perfect to play someday. El-P Posted February 1, 2022 Report Share Posted February 1, 2022 I've never seen the 5 superplexes in a row spot (I've seen the trading superplex spot which was a Masa Chono staple though), and it seems hell of a lot cooler than doing porn, which is mostly a horrible business filed with horrible people exploiting other people. (I'm not against it of course, but I don't think there's anything particulary cool about it especially in today's landscape where the workers, again mostly the women, are treated like pieces of meat and exploited more than ever before. But porn still is the sleaziest of the sleazy. A few years back there was this question asked about whether the pro-wrestling industry was better of worse than the porn industry. Back then the answer did not seem very clear. Now things have really gotten better with pro-wrestling though. If I can put on my lefty hat for a moment, I would say capitalism in general is designed to exploit from the top down, so the limits of said exploitation depend on what is in place (laws, unions, etc) to prevent it.
