Rick had Hansen in a few times while he was in Montreal with the AWA title and even pinned him in a non title match. Being finished in the AWA-proper was likely a mutual agreement that it was just time to make a switch. He was, as noted, in for a few big shows and did have some rematches in a few places (notably the 1-16-86 Winnipeg show with Flair vs. Bockwinkel on it, the last AWA show in Winnipeg).

They may. It depends on the Winnipeg footage and if it was sold to Vince along with the library. I'm not sure how that works with TSN having it as an exclusive program.

I don't doubt it was filmed completely and the appearance of the Andre-Bock match from Winnipeg on the network encourages me that they have the other Winnipeg material too, but who knows? that match could have been acquired in another library, sent out to promote Andre or Bock someplace. Sort of like the AWA TV squashes with Bock appeared on the Houston on demand progams since Verne sent it to Houston for Bock et al to use on TV promoting Bock coming in.

Considering that ESPN Classic Canada is often airing AWA TV marathons (a mix of syndication and the ESPN shows at the Showboat), I guess that some of the footage weren't sold to Vince with the library. Unless they get a special derogation since it was a TSN exclusive here in Canada.

So UK themed for tomorrow.

AWA 09/13/1981 Billy Robinson vs Ray Stevens 15:03 @khawk20 is this new in full?

CWF 09/13/1981 Les Thorton vs Jerry Brisco Looks like we have this but could be a VQ update.

Some Harts/Davey Boy Smith vs JR Foley's Army match from Stampede in 1981. Says 21:24 which seems like the longest Stampede match ever. It could be an elimination match with Davey Boy Smith, Bruce Hart, Keith Hart, and Robbie Stewart (Chic Cullen) vs Duke Myers, Kerry Brown, Dynamite Kid, and The Great Gama. It could be something else. I have no idea on whether we had it or not. Who's our stampede expert?

plus a modern match with Dunne and Andrews

Billy Robinson vs. Ray Stevens

15:03 total segment time

we get 14:16 of the 16:27 match

Video starts 2:11 in.

Ray Stevens has yet to enter the ring, it appears.  He is doing his best Larry Zbyszko impersonation, apparently

At 1:56, Ray enters the ring, the match starts, and Mean Gene's commentary begins

47 seconds of post match stuff, with the crowd going crazy

Davey Boy Smith, Bruce Hart, Keith Hart, and Robbie Stewart (Chic Cullen) vs Duke Myers, Kerry Brown, Dynamite Kid, and The Great Gama

Says it is from 10/9/81.

We get the last 14:40 of a 59:15 min match.  JR Foley rings the bell early to save Gama from submitting before the time runs out.

A little postmatch stuff, then long interviews in the ring with both teams after the crowd leaves the arena.

Dynamite with the crazy post match interview, claiming everyone is getting stretchered out next week, including Stu!

Ha. I knew we weren't getting a full match out of Stampede.

I'm hoping all these AWA related gems popping up means they've been working on that section of the library in prep for a classic content dump.

Perhaps. I am more hoping they are organizing arena footage into their proper cards as opposed to a tv dump, which without interviews will be pretty tedious save for the odd show with an angle included.
