Good seeing old Moose Morowski show up. Looking forward to one last run.

Bulldogs lay the challenge down to the Assassins. Masks vs. contracts! So much on the line.

Morgan vs. Gama will be a classic but watch out for Foley.

Bad News gets the win but he might of made a huge mistake taking Hansen's cowboy hat.

WOW! Orndorff beats Flair for the title! Icing on the cake as Orndorff gets to beat down on Heenan for 5 minutes. Orndorff will be a great champ.

Wild 8 man tag as the faces get the big win.

Good grief! That upcoming card at the Corral is stacked!

Moose as the grizzled vet looking for one last shot at glory will be fun.

Bulldogs vs Assassins: Masks vs Contracts is huge stakes. Looking forward to it!

Like I said before, love the British Commonwealth Title idea. Allows for great heat, and great matches.

Hansen/Bad News is gonna get REAL ugly before it's all said and done.

Orndorff gets the win over Flair, then beats up poor Bobby Heenan. Wow. Strong push for Orndorff. Dibiase could be in trouble!!

That is one heck of a card coming up in The Corral, looking forward to seeing the results!!

POST-DRAFT CATCH-UP SHOW

TV Contracts

It appears that both Rocky Mountain Championship Wrestling and Stampede Wrestling have added national cable television contracts.  So many of the people living near the border have already been seeing both shows through local syndication but now each show will be shown nationally.  The fans in Canada can see both shows on TSN, the Canadian equivalent of ESPN while the fans in the United States will be able to see both shows on Sports Channel America.

Meeting between Stu Hart & Blackjack Mulligan

After Stu Hart and Blackjack Mulligan jointly secured these national tv shows, they also entered into an agreement to share talent and will also work together to produce major shows both on cable and on the up and coming idea of pay per view.  The first major cable show will be on Halloween Night and will be seen on live tv.  It will be a 3 hour spectacular with the first 90 minutes coming from the Denver Auditorium and the last 90 minutes coming from the Corral in Calgary.  If all goes well, they will immediately begin working towards the first pay per view titles King of the Mountain on January 5th in the Saddledome.

The Hart Dungeon

In order to train wrestlers for both Rocky Mountain and Stampede, Stu Hart has agreed to train upcoming wrestlers in his “Dungeon.”  It is said that his new stable of workers includes

1.       a near 400 pound baby bull who is just running over people by the name of Leon White.

2.       one tough wolverine who refuses to give an inch by the nake of Chris Benoit.

3.      A physically 6’4, 280 pound bodybuilder who so far just tells Stu Hart that he is a Warrior.

 THE BRITISH BULLDOGS

The British Bulldogs defeated the Assassins in their Contract vs Mask match which made them the number 1 contenders to the Stampede Tag Team Title last Monday in Calgary.  When the masked came off of the Assassins, Assassin #1 turned out to be long time Stampede heel, Kurt Von Hess and Assassin #2 turned out to be Man Mountain Rex.  Why they had joined forces is unknown as they high-tailed it out of the ring and the arena.  Von Hess has not been seen since and Rex, as usually has remained mute on the situation.

The problem came when Jim Davies went to interview the Bulldogs as we soon found out that when they had dared to put their contracts on the line, they were instantly pursued by another promotion who has remained nameless as of now.  Both Dynamite Kid and Davey Boy Smith were blown away by the offer and said they only way they could make that type of money was if they were the champions.  So basically, it comes down to this… if the Bulldogs beat the Hart Foundation at the Halloween Spectacular, they will remain in Stampede but if they fail to win the titles, they are going to be leaving Stampede.  The crowd immediately began to chant “Please don’t go!”

STAN HANSEN VS BAD NEWS ALLEN

Last we had seen, Bad News Allen had used a chain to knock out Stan Hansen and then he walked away from the ring with Hansen’s cowboy hat.  The two were to meet this past week but the match never got started.  With Hansen already in the ring, a delivery boy brought a box to the ring and presented it Hansen.  When Hansen opened the box, it appeared to be Stan Hansen’s hat filled with some sort of feces.  Hansen went absolutely wild and as Bad News Allen was coming to the ring with a big smile on the face.  Allen never reached the ring, as Hansen rushed up the ramp and the brawl was on.  It became one of the bloodiest scenes in Stampede Wrestling history and was declared a No Contest.  We later found out that Stu Hart and Stampede Wrestling refuse to sanction another bout between the two but the hatred between them has gotten so hot that there is going to be a Loser-Leave Town Lights Out Match on the Halloween Spectacular

ROCKY MOUNTAIN TAG TITLE:

It is becoming obvious that Sweet Brown Sugar will not be healthy enough to defend the title with Tony Atlas.  He was attacked by the Iron Sheik a few weeks ago with the Persian Club.  The Sheik and Nicolai Volkoff have been reminding Rocky Mountain President, Don Slatten, that if they do not defend the belts in 30 days, that, by rule,  they must be stripped of the belts.  Since Sugar’s injuries were caused by the #1 contenders in a non-wrestling situation, the Lawman has agreed to allow Tony Atlas to find another partner.  The Sheik and Volkoff have been complaining about this but the quited down when Slatton threatened to bring the police in and allow them to investigate the assault situation.  We will find out who Tony Atlas finds as his new partner on Halloween night.

Other matches already signed for the Halloween Spectacular:

North American Title Rematch:  Paul Orndorff © vs Ric Flair

Rocky Mountain Title Match:  Ernie Ladd © vs Blackjack Mulligan

Commonwealth Title Match:  Dave Morgan vs Gamma Singh

I liked the wrap up. Well done.

Big things announced for Stampede and Rocky Mountain as they go national. It doesn't stop there as it looks like a venture into pay per view is coming. This will be a game changer for the AWA!

The Halloween Spectacular is shaping up to be a huge event. Those 3 matches alone will guarantee a big house.

OCTOBER 31, 1984

LIVE FROM THE DENVER AUDITORIUM & THE CORRAL IN CALGARY

AIRED LIVE THROUGHOUT CANADA ON TSN AND THE U.S.A ON SPORTS CHANNEL AMERICA

8:00-11:00 PM

Cowboy Bob Tallman:  Welcome everybody to an historic night on professional wrestling. I am Cowboy Bob Tallman and my partner is Rocky Mountain Championship Wrestling President, The Lawman, Don Slatton.  Tonight, Rocky Mountain Wrestling and Stampede Wrestling in conjunction with TSN and Sports Channel America, have joined together to put on the first wrestling show every to be shown live throughout all of the United States and Canada from two different arenas.  The first 1 ½ of this show will be coming to you from the Denver Auditorium and then we will turn the show over to Ed Whalen and Jim Davies who will be coming to you live from the Corral in Calgary, Alberta, Canada

Lawman Slatton:   You said it Bob.  This is the first show ever of its kind and we are in for a wild ride…. 5 title matches, a loser- leave town match, possible the last match for the British Bulldogs in Stampede Wrestling, 2 arenas, two countries and 7 matches in total. We have a lot of action but limited time so let's get to the ring.

ROCKY MOUNTAIN TAG TEAM TITLE

Tony Atlas & Mystery Partner vs The Iron Sheik & Nicolai Volkoff

This is not your typical opening match as the talent is main event all the way but TSN and Sports Channel America want to hook the fans from the get go.  As the Sheik and Volkoff head to the ring, the fans must put up with a lot of Anti-American sentiment from the Foreign Menaces.  From their flag waving to the anthem singing, the crowd is fuming.

uLKvloW.jpg?1           VmZPDuv.jpg?1

Tony Atlas heads to the ring alone as the Cowboy and the Lawman wonder who the mystery partner is when all of a sudden the crowd explodes as the legendary Dory Funk Jr. heads to the ring.

w9L13wK.jpg

During the opening minutes, Cowboy Bob brings everyone up to speed in this rivalry from Atlas beating the Sheik at his Persian Club strength competition to the Foreign Menaces hitting Atlas’s normal partner, Sweet Brown Sugar, across the head to Don Slatton allowing Tony Atlas to choice a new partner for this title match because of the fact that Sugar is out as a direct result of the Sheik and Volkoff.

As for the match,  it is a wild and the fans are on the edge of their seats with each momentum change.  As we head to the middle of the match, Lars Anderson comes down to ringside.  He is a newcomer to Rocky Mountain Wrestling and Cowboy Bob hypes up the fact that Lars comes from the legendary Anderson family that includes Ole, Gene and young Arn.  They are considered one of the best families ever in the sport.

Lars comes to ringside and starts cheering on Atlas and Funk and the crowd is excited as it just seems like a little extra help couldn’t hurt.  Unfortunately, at this point of the match, Dory is playing the face in peril role and it taking it pretty good.  As we have all seen a thousand times, the face fights his way out and makes the hot tag.  The problem was that as soon as Funk escaped the wrong corner, Lars jumped up on the apron and distracted the ref who did not see the tag.  He forced Atlas back out of the ring which took some time during which the Menaces really took liberties with Funk.  Funk ends up getting hit by the Russian flag pole and goes down hard.

The ref turns to see Volkoff making the cover and before Atlas notices what is happening, the ref makes the three count.

Cowboy Bob:  Bawh God what have I just seen.  The Iron Sheik and Nicolia Volkoff are the new Rocky Mountain Champs.  What was Lars Anderson doing?  This is just an awful start to this night!  Let’s take a break.

Johnny Rich vs Jos Leduc

To be honest with everyone, this match might be the time to run to the kitchen and get that snack as it doesn’t quite belong on this card but Rocky Mountain is in the midst of a roster rebuild so this was the best we could do.  Again, Cowboy gives a lot of background to these new audiences and tells everyone that Leduc is one of the members of Ernie Ladd’s Army while Johnny Rich seems to be the giant killer of late as he just keeps going after the big boys and keeps on getting the victories.  This will be a tough one though as Leduc is not only big and powerful but his mental stability is also in question.

After about 8 minutes of seeing Leduc pound on Rich, it looked to be a mismatch.  Leduc catches Rich in the Bearhug but Rich refuses to submit.  Leduc gets tired on waiting and throws Johnny away like a rag doll.  Leduc continues the pounding until we see Johnny duck under a big right hand and hit the ropes and come off and grab Leduc by the head and hit a running bulldog for the surprise win.  The crowd gives a little pop but they are still in shock the Iron Sheik and Volkoff are now the champs.

ROCKY MOUNTAIN HEAVYWEIGHT TITLE MATCH

ERNIE LADD © vs Blackjack Mulligan

cvsvpMK.jpg

Again, as the match is getting started, we hear the build up to this big feud.  From the factions that have been built to protect both Ladd and Mulligan to the fact that Ernie Ladd personally beat Blackjacks 16 year old son, Kendall Windham just to upset Mulligan, this one is the biggest feud in Rocky Mountain Wrestling.

We get a good 15 minutes of a brawl before we see the enforcer of Ladd’s Army, the nearly 600 pound monster, Grizzly Boone head to the ring.  The problem was that Rufus Jones rushed in from behind and gave it his best to slow Boone down and it worked.

D5Zr8JP.jpg?3

Back in the ring, the tide has turned as Mulligan has the advantage with Ladd on his back.  Mulligan splits the Big Cat’s legs and ignores Ladd’s pleas as he hits the low blow.  The ref warns Mulligan but Mulligan doesn’t seem to care and whips Ladd into the ropes for a huge shoulder block.  Mulligan then locks in the Iron Claw and we get the clean pinfall victory for Mulligan.

StdMy7S.jpg?2

Cowboy Bob:  Well there is justice in the air tonight.  Mulligan has gotten his long-awaited revenge and is now the Rocky Mountain Heavyweight Champion.  What a great start to this event and after these messages we will be taking you to Ed Whalen and Jim Davies up in the Corral in Calgary.

COMMERCIAL BREAK

Ed Whalen:  :  Hi everybody and away we go with the second half of this wrestling spectacular. II am Ed Whalen coming to you from the Corral in downtown Calgary. Today we will be showing four great matches that when all said and done, will have a lasting impact on the future of Stampede Wrestling.  I promise you another ring-a ding-dong- dandy of a show so let’s not waste any time and get you right to the action

STAMPEDE TAG TEAM TITLE MATCH

(IF THE BULLDOGS LOSE, THEY WILL BE LEAVING STAMPEDE)

The Hart Foundation vs The British Bulldogs

7xaEuYZ.jpg

Whalen hypes up this match by filling us all in on this sometimes off and sometimes on-again relationship between these two top teams in Stampede.  While they are both fan favorites, Stu Hart has often played a role in this power struggle and he has always been on the side of the Hart Foundation.  Recently, the Bulldogs put their careers on the line against the Assassins and came out on top but they also found themselves being wooed by other promotions who though they might become free agents and this is how we got here.  The Bulldogs will stay if and only if they are the champs and if not… they will be headed elsewhere.

The fans have often been split in this feud but tonight they are squarely behind the Dogs as they don’t want them to leave.  The match starts with a handshake and remains technical but physical.  The match saw Dynamite Kid climb to the top rope but get knocked off by accident as Neidhart fell back into the turnbuckle.  From here on out, Kid seemed to be hobbled and let Davey Boy do the majority of the work.  Unfortunately, Davey Boy couldn’t fight the Harts 2-1 and eventually had to tag in Kid one last time.  Bret was at the top of his game and saw a wounded Kid as his prey.  Eventually Bret locks in the Northern Lights Cloverleaf where Kid actually passes out from the pain as he just refused to submit.  The ref called for the bell and there was an empty feeling in everyone’s stomach.

Bret Hart actually cried as his hand was raised and all went to help Dynamite back to his feet.  As the crowd shouted, Please Don’t Go, both Bret and the Anvil lead the crowd in a standing ovation for the Bulldogs!

STAMPEDE HEAYWEIGHT CHAMPIONSHIP

Sgt. Slaughter ©  with John Foley vs Tito Santana

1JnYr56.jpg?1

This one has been red hot for months now and really got amped up when Slaughter’s old manger, Sheik Adnan-Al Kassie, tried to hang Tito over the top rope.  All of this built up anger comes out early here Tito wrestles from the top for the opening phase of the match.  Foley does everything he could to help his #1 man and finally helps Sgt. Enough when he jumped up on the apron.  Tito goes after Foley which gives Sarge time to recoup and catch Santana with a knee to the gut.  Sarge works over Tito pretty good until the crowd helps Tito start the comeback.

Foley sees this and is really concerned.  He starts waving to the back and Butch Moffit rushes to the ring.  The problem was that he was a little too late.  Sarge tried a Cannon Lariat but Tito ducked under.  When he Tito came off the ropes, he hit Slaughter with a Flying Burrito and Tito got the three count and became the new champ!

NORTH AMERICAN TITLE MATCH STAMPEDE HEAYWEIGHT CHAMPIONSHIP

Paul Orndorff © vs Ric Flair with Bobby Heenan

Not much to be said here that hasn’t been said before so let’s just get to the ending.  With the ref down, Heenan is up on the apron with a chair in his hands.

WHAM… Orndorff breaks free and Flair is hit once again with the chair shot by his own manager.

Orndorff picks Flair up and connects with a Piledriver as the ref is gathering himself.

Orndorff makes the cover and we get the three count.  As Orndorff celebrates, Heenan goes to Flair and helps him to his feet.

WHAM…. Flair shoves Heenan to the ground!

The crowd loves this and Flair simply throws his hands up in the air and walks away.  Orndorff has a smile on his face as he knows that Heenan-Flair is over.

LOSER-LEAVE TOWN LIGHTS OUT MATCH

Stan Hansen vs Bad News Allen

What else can be said here.  BRAWL-BRAWL-BRAWL! BLOOD-BLOOD-BLOOD!

Bad News Allen gets the win after hitting the Ghetto Blaster and following it up with the Massive Leg Drop for the win!

Ed Whalen:  Well what a night it has been.  A partnership has been formed between Rocky Mountain Championship Wrestling and Stampede Wrestling that is sure to up the ante for wrestling all over North America.  We have seen 3 new champions crowned, Stan Hansen being forced to leave the area and the end of an era as we just witnessed the last match of the British Bulldogs in Stampede.  What will happen next week… God only knows.  Please make sure to join both Cowboy Bob Tallman and Rocky Mountain Wrestling and myself with Stampede Wrestling each and every week .  If you are in the U.S.A, tune in to Sports Channel America and in Canada you can find both shows on TSN.  So, in the meantime and in the in-between time… that’s it.

An Anderson screwed over a Funk, man if you could get a Rhodes involved in this feud somehow.... Big win for the Sheik and Volkoff! The RMPW fans are going to despise those two SO much!!

Rich picks up the upset over Leduc and his stock is certainly rising.

Shocked to see Mulligan get the clean win over The Big Cat. Don't figure Ladd will take that one well. Probably be hell to pay!

Harts beat the Bulldogs, and that should mean the Bulldogs are out the door. Will be interesting to see where they end up, and more interesting to see who replaces them!

Tito wins the title! That'll get the fans back in it after watching the Bulldogs go. Huge win for Santana, but I figure the Sarge will be looking for some revenge.

Orndorff retains! Flair is pissed, and most likely gone. I can only guess that The Brain will find another client sooner than later and coming looking for Mr. Wonderful again.

Bad News takes out The Lariat. Hansen is out the door, and you have to think Bad News is going to go looking for some gold now.

Great Show Kev!

What a way to debut the new format! I'm sure a lot of new fans will be tuning in after this show.

Right off the bat, Sheik and Volkoff  win the tag titles with a bit of help from Lars. I'm sure we'll get some answers and I know when Sweet Brown Sugar returns, him and Atlas will want a rematch.

Rich scores a HUGE win over Leduc. This really elevates Rich.

Mulligan finally gets sweet revenge and the title as he puts Ladd down.

Well, the Bulldogs went out with a bang. Harts get the win but Bulldogs leave with their heads held high.

Like Mulligan, Tito gets some sweet revenge as he beats Slaughter and takes his title. Tito will be a great Stampede champ.

Orndorff and Flair go at it one more time and Orndorff prevails! Looks like the Flair/Heenan alliance is over.

Bad News and Hansen end the show with a wild and bloody brawl. Bad News gets the win and he's no doubt the toughest man in wrestling.

Awesome show! Looking forward to this new direction.

Wow this is the definition of BIG show!

Lars Anderson makes a huge impact in his debut....new tag champs!

Johnny Rich is on a roll here, great win over the evil lumberjack!

BJM gets sweet revenge on the 'Big Cat' and takes the title....what's next for Ladd? Can't wait to hear what he has to say about this!

Quite a send off for the Bulldogs....classy move by the Hart Foundation at the end!

Tito wins the Stampede title!! Looking forward to this title reign as this is Tito's prime!

The Flair/Heenan relationship crashed and burned quickly.....Orndorff gets the last laugh!

Bad News takes out the "bad man from Borger".....he has to be a made man at this point.

November 2, 1984

A montage of wrestling and rodeo falls set to music introduces the show.

Broadcasting to our local affiliates in Colorado, New Mexico, Utah, Wyoming, Montana, Idaho, the Dakatos, TSN all across Canada and Sports Channel America throughout the United States, the American Wrestling Association proudly presents Rocky Mountain Wrestling, coming to you from the KCNS Studio in Denver.

From peak to peak and valley to valley we welcome you Rocky Mountain Pro Wrestling.    I am Cowboy Bob Tallman and we are coming to you tonight from the KCNS studio in Denver, Colorado.  With me tonight is the President of Rocky Mountain Wrestling, the Lawman, Don Slatton.  Don, what a show we had on Halloween Night.

Don Slatton:  It was indeed Cowboy.  Not only was it the first combined show between Stampede and Rocky Mountain Wrestling but we saw both Rocky Mountain Wrestling titles switch hands.

All of a sudden, Ernie Ladd comes out with Grizzly Boone and he is fuming about losing the Rocky Mountain Heavyweight Title to Blackjack Mulligan.

Cowboy Bob:  Well, Mr. Ladd…. What do we owe this pleasure to.

Ernie Ladd:  Enough of your sarcasm Cowboy.  I am not in the mood.  I will admit that I made some mistakes and those mistakes cost me the title.

Lawman Don:  That is very big of you to admit that at Halloween Howl that Blackjack Mulligan was the better man.

Ernie Ladd:  Now you just proved you are as dumb as you look. I said no such thing.  I said I made mistakes, but I will never admit that Blackjack Mulligan was the better man.  My mistakes were not listening to Shaska Whatley and Tiger Conway Jr. when they questioned some of the members of my army as they  were not quite…. How do you say it…. Movement material.  All these people just seemed to ride my coattails to the top and we not in it for the right reasons.  From that no-good albino, Eric Embry to that lazy Mexican, Taras Bulba to the crazed Canuck, Jos Leduc.  None of them were ready to go to war against Blackjack Mulligan and sense they all failed me, they are all fired!

Cowboy Bob:  Does that mean that Grizzly Boone is the only one left in your Army.

Ernie Ladd:  Well it is like dumb and dumber around here.  I never said that.  I just told you who is out of the Army.  Now I will bring out the newest members… ones I am sure the Movement will approve of…

The crowd is stunned as Elijah Akeem and Kareem Muhammad come out in camaflouge cloths as Ernie Ladd introduces the Zamboui Express.

Cowboy Bob:  Wow… I will say that between Grizzly Boone and the Zamboui Express…. You might just be unbeatable.

Ernie Ladd:  Again… stop trying to figure out the Army.  I recall Grizzly Boone trying to stop that no good cheater Blackjack Mulligan on Halloween only to be stopped by Rufus Jones.  I am not sure Grizzly Boone is Army material anymore.

Grizzly Boon:  Come on boss.  You know I got your back.

WHAM…. From out of nowhere comes the Zamboui Express, they beat Grizzly Boone out of Ladd’s Army.  The nearly 600 pound mountain is left laying in the fetal position and appears to be convulsing on the floor.  Without any friends to help him, Boone was forced to just take the beating until Ladd’s new army was done.

Ernie Ladd:  Blackjack Mulligan…. Shine my belt boy.  I am coming for you!

Promos for Monday’s show at the Denver Auditorium

Show repeated around Colorado during the week

(Boulder, Pueblo, Ft. Collins, Grand Junction)

MATCH:  John Tatum defeats Josh Jones with a Superkick   MATCH:  Hillbilly Jim defeats Mike Lownd with the Bearhug

Tatum is new to the winning scene here in Rocky Mountain Wrestling but it seems he is going to make the bet of his new push.  We can see him start to strut a bit more and seems to be getting more comfortable with getting some heat from the fans.  In fact, it was so good tonight, that Cowboy Bob said that John Tatum seems to have a bit of Hollywood in him.  No post-match interview tonight, but if he keeps perfecting this arrogant act of his, he will be a low card star in no time.

As the Tatum match ends, Dory Funk Jr. comes out to the interview area where we see the video tape of his Rocky Mountain Tag Team Title match with Tony Atlas vs the Iron Sheik and Nicolai Volkoff.  Funk was filling in for the inured Sweet Brown Sugar, but he came up on the short end of the stick as the Foreign Menaces became the champions.  The reason for the defeat was the interference by Lars Anderson.

Cowboy Bob:  Dory… I must ask you what it is between you and Lars Anderson that caused him to side with an Iranian and a Russian instead of you and Tony Atlas.

Dory Funk Jr.  I got no idea, but I can assure you, I am going to find out.  What he did was not only cost Tony Atlas his title,  but he took it away from these great fans.  I have never had a problem with Lars.  In fact, I have had very little interaction with him in all my years in wrestling.  One thing for sure though, with a last name like Funk, you can be sure I am going to get to the bottom of this and I am going to get even.

COMMERCIAL

MATCH: Dirty Dick Slater defeats Leo Downing with 3 Right Hands followed by a Neckbreaker

Cowboy Bob Tallman:  Well Dick, welcome to Rocky Mountain Wrestling.  What brings you to town.

Dick Slater:  Instead of running my mouth and giving you all this bull about how I want to be here for the competition and all, why don’t I just cut to the chase.  I have been wrestling all over this country and in my time in this sport, I have come across a few good guys and a whole lot of jerks.  I have come here because a good guy asked for my help in getting rid of a jerk.

Cowboy Bob:  Can you be a little more specific.  This is of course Rocky Mountain Wrestling where it seems everyone is here to settle some score.

Dick Slater:  That is information that will have to keep to myself at this time but all I can tell you is that I am the #1 free agent in the game right now.  I am a gun for hire if you will and when the time is right… I will be the true mercenary that I have been asked to be.

Cowboy Bob:  Fair enough!  This show has become a bit of a mystery.

COMMERCIAL

Promos for Monday’s show at the Denver Auditorium

MATCH:  Johnny Rich defeats Man Mountain Link with the Middle Rope Knee Drop

Rich continues to be the slayer of all the big and powerful wrestlers in Rocky Mountain wrestling and tonight was no different.  Man Mountain Link goes nearly 400 pounds and Rich just battled and battled until finally he was able to wear Link down.  At one point, Rich thought he had Link finished and hit the Thesz Press but Link just caught Rich and slammed him down.  Again, Rich started from the bottom and wouldn’t quit until he finally climbed to the middle rope and hit a double knee drop on Link for the win.

At the interview desk, Cowboy praised Rich for his win against Jos Leduc and Rich replies that each and every week he goes out there and gives 110% and it doesn’t matter how big the man in the other corner is.

ROCKY MOUNTAIN TITLE MATCH:  Blackjack Mulligan defeats Ciclon Negro with the Brain Claw

At the interview desk, Blackjack hypes up the fact that he won the Rocky Mountain title but that his work will not be done until he rids the sport of wrestling of Ernie Ladd.  When asked about the new members of his Army, Blackjack just smiles and lets everyone know that he has some reinforcements of his own.  He also gives a big thanks to Rufus Jones for his help in keeping Grizzly Boone out of the ring at Halloween Howl.

COMMERCIAL

Promos for Monday’s show at the Denver Auditorium

When we come out of break, Cowboy Bob informs us that he has just been informed that Lars Anderson will be here next week and he has some serious questions to answer.

NON-TITLE MATCH:

Iron Sheik & Nicolai Volkoff vs Verlon Biggs & Jay Dean

Even in this squash match, Volkoff and Sheik have perfected getting heat from the crowd and this continued all the way though the match.   The Sheik and Volkoff decided that today was the day they would dish out some extra punishment and they kept picking up Jay Dean at the count of two so they could inflict some extra punishment.

The crowd pops…

Cowboy Bob Tallman:  Well here comes the calvary… its Tony Atlas and… and… yes… yes… it is Hacksaw Duggan!  Both Atlas and Duggan hit the Foreign Menaces with big right hands. Duggan then comes off the ropes for a big football tackle on the Sheik and he tumbles to the floor as Atlas Press Slams Volkoff.

Within seconds, Atlas and Duggan have emptied the ring and the champions are out on the floor debating if they will come back for more when they decide to head for the hills, the crowd is disappointed but also elated as they know the USA has just one up-ed the champs.

At the interview desk, Altas and Duggan are both hyping up the fact of how great America is and how they are coming after those Rocky Mountain Tag Belts.  Atlas is sick and tired of the Sheik and Volkoff bullying people and thinking they can get away with what ever they want.  He guarantees those days are over and he thanks Duggan for coming here to Rocky Mountain Wrestling.

Duggan says where ever there is an A-RAB problem and a Commie problem he is the man to call.  As Duggan starts the USA chant, the crowd is electric!

Cowboy Bob has declared Atlas and Duggan as Team USA and how he can’t wait to see them get their hands on the Sheik and Volkoff.  Well folks, tonight’s wild rodeo has come to a close.  See you next time on AWA Rocky Mountain All-Star Wrestling.  So long from Denver!

The Movement tossed Elijah and Kareem out once, but if they are gonna provide some back up for The Big Cat, I think maybe they can be  reinstated!

Be real interesting to see what Dick Slater has up his sleeve! He could fall just about anywhere in the war zone that is Rocky Mountain.

Duggan and Atlas as a team to feud with Sheik and Volkoff is awesome! That's a main event feud right there.

Good Stuff!

LOL, I agree, the Zamboui Express is looking to be reinstated by the Movement. Helping Ladd against Mulligan seems like it will get them back in.

Hollywood Tatum is looking to become a star here. This is a good heat seeking gimmick for the tough guy territory.

The monster slayer Johnny Rich does it again by taking Link down.

Dick Slater is here! If there was ever a territory made for somebody this is it. What a perfect fit. Just what are Slater's intentions?

Mulligan looks strong tonight and says he's more than ready for Ladd and his goons.

Team USA! Wow! Duggan storms the ring and him and Atlas fight off Sheik and Volkoff. This is going to be one wild feud! Like I said with Slater, same goes for Duggan LOL.

Wow! Hacksaw showing up is a game changer for Rocky Moutain!

Hacksaw/Slater/Zambooie Express are all perfect for this hard hitting "tough guy" territory and as Spaldoni pointed out it puts that much more heat on a guy like Tatum.

Ernie Ladd is not going to crawl in a hole after losing the title.....he'll find a way to get it back.

Bad News Allen:  It doesn’t matter where in the AWA you are.  Everyone is talking about Bad News Allen.    Here in Stampede Wrestling, I am God.  I am the almighty.  The one who decides who leaves and who goes.  Over the past year, I have lost only one match and that is when Verne Gagne strong -armed a referee into making a fast count against me and gave Hulk Hogan a tainted win.  The fact about that match is that I beat Hogan so bad, he has not shown his face anywhere in Canada in Months.  I took out the Mongolian Stomper.  I took out Nikita Koloff.  I took out Stan Hansen…. All never to be seen again.  The fact is that I am the most dominant force ever in Stampede Wrestling.  I know Stu Hart has done his best to keep people like me down but with the Movement taken over… he can’t get away with that any longer.  My next goal …to get back the title that Stu Hart wrongfully took away from me last December when he couldn’t control his own event…when I nearly killed the Stomper’s bratty kid.  That’s right Mr. Paul Orndorff.  I want my North American Title back and there is nothing you can do about it!

As Bad News walks off, Ed Whalen seems visibly concerned as he knows what a focused and angry Bad News Allen can do.

MATCH #1:  Chief Joe Lightfoot defeats Joe Callo with the Running Knee Lift

Lightfoot is a long time Stampede fan favorite but this is his first time back to Calgary in a while.  When asked why he was here, Lighfoot said that Stampede seems to be the center of the Light Heavyweight Division in the AWA and that if he could ever win the British Commonwealth Middleweight Title, it could be a stepping stone to the AWA World Light Heavyweight Title.  Lightfoot makes sure to compliment the champion, Dave Morgan, and acknowledge other top contenders like Gamma Singh, Ben Bassarab and MX-1.  As we go to break, Ed Whalen lets Chief Joe know how great it is to have him back in Stampede.

(Commercials)

When we come out of break, Bobby Heenan is at the interview desk where Ed Whalen wants to know about his current relationship with Ric Flair.

Bobby Heenan:  Unfortunately, I will no longer be managing Ric Flair. After Halloween Howl we decided to go our sperate ways.  I blame Stu Hart.  He made it impossible for Ric and myself.  All he cared about was protecting his boy and hurting Bobby Heenan.  He could care less about helping his biggest asset.  He had the best wrestler working with the best manager.  That means dollars but he couldn’t see the forest through the trees.  He just wanted to see the Hart Foundation as the tag team champion and to make sure nobody who was under contract to me was the North American Champion.  That meant Paul Orndorff could go around hitting people in the head with chairs and nobody would say anything to him.

Ed Whalen:  Well I guess you will be out of the wrestling game for a while.

Bobby Heenan:  Come on Whalen.  I am a legend in this sport.  Just ask me!  How long do you think it took me to regroup and put together a new Family?  Maybe a minute.  Now my goal is to take that tag team title away from the Harts and I got just the team to do and you will see them in the ring in just a few minutes.

All of a sudden, Bad News Allen walks out again.

Bad News Allen:  It seems to me Bobby that we got the same enemies.  We both want to destroy Stu Hart, but we also want a piece of Paul Orndorff.  What do you say, lets make an alliance to stop the Harts and get the North American title back where it belongs.

Heenan, with a big smile on his face shakes Allen’s hand and tells him to watch as his new Family members destroy two jabrones.

MATCH #2

Dr. Death Steve Williams & Mr. Saito with Bobby Heenan crush Brian Dean & Mike Downs

If Ed Whalen was in shock when Bad News joined Heenan, he nearly collapsed when Heenan’s new team turned out to be Saito and Williams.  Last we saw in Stampede, Dr. Death was going after the Road Warriors with his partner Manny Fernandez and he seemed to be on the right side of the law.  Whalen emphasizes that Dr. Death seems to have jumped ship on the fans and has no idea why.  He also wondered how long it would be before Bobby Heenan truly controlled Stampede Wrestling.

(Commercials)

Before our next match, the North American Title Champion, Paul Orndorff joins Ed Whalen.

Paul Orndorff:  Bobby, Bobby, Bobby… Don’t you ever learn.  You have me so focused that it doesn’t matter who you put in your stable.  I took care of Ric Flair with no problem and now because you and  Bad News Allen think just because you shook hands and made nice, that you are going to come and take the North American Title from me.  That is one thing I will not let happen.

MATCH:  Gama Singh with John Foley defeats by submission The Patriot with the Camel Clutch

John Foley:  The colonists here in Calgary are revolting.  The fans show no respect for Mother Britain, but I have a plan.  A plan to take down that trader, the British Commonwealth Middleweight champion, Dave Morgan and that plan starts with the universal feared Gama Singh.

Ed Whalen:  And what about your #1 guy… Sgt. Slaughter.  He seems to have lost the Stampede Heavyweight Title to Tito Santana.

John Foley:  For once, you are correct Ed Whalen, but you seem to have left out the fact that it was a colonist who was the referee and my man Sgt. Slaughter never received a fair shake.  For the title rematch, I am requesting a change of venue.  Since it is obvious my man cannot receive a fair and honest shot here, I will seek a neutral venue and when Sgt. Slaughter wins, the Queen will throw a huge party for me and my troops.  And guess what Ed Whalen…. You are still not invited!

MATCH:

The Outlaws (Ron Bass & Black Bart) defeat Larry Isle & Dan Moregrief as Bart hit the big Legdrop

This Stampede tag team division may have lost the British Bulldogs last week but seems to have gotten a whole lot deeper as tonight first showcased the new team of Dr. Death and Mr. Saito and now we see the appearance of the Outlaws.  In their post-match interview, they are nasty, repulsive and hot tempered.

Ed Whalen:  Not sure you boys know this, but we have been following the goings on of Rocky Mountain Wrestling for some time up here in Calgary and it seems like you two have had a rough time of it lately, losing your belts to Tony Atlas and Sweet Brown Sugar and all.

This just about had smoke coming out of the Outlaws ears and Whalen realized he many have taken his life into his hands with that comment, so he takes a quick commercial break but before the screen fades away, we here him calling for security to protect him.

Commercials

Before our main event, the Hart Foundation come out and again explain how hard it was for them to wrestler the British Bulldogs on Halloween night and that they wish them will.  They also comment how Bobby Heenan thinks just because he has a new team, that the Harts are just going to hand the belts over, he better think again.

 MAIN EVENT:  NON-TITLE MATCH

Tito Santana defeats Moondog Rex with a Flying Burrito

This match was rather tough for Santana because of the style of the Moondog but once Santana decided to fight fire with fire, he was able to secure the win.  Unfortunately for Tito, John Foley wanted to prove a point that getting that Stampede title back around the waist of Sgt. Slaughter was his #2 priority, Foley attacked with his entire stable of Butch Moffit, Gama Singh and of course, Sgt. Slaughter.  Santana held his own for a few seconds but the numbers game proved to be too much and Tito was being beaten until the crowd erupted as the Hart Foundation came to the ring along with none other than Jimmy Garvin and Precious.  Soon the fan favorites were in control of the ring and the fans went wild.

Ed Whalen:  Not sure where the time went tonight but what a show we just saw.  Bobby Heenan and his new team of Saito and Dr. Death, the Outlaws and now Jimmy Garvin coming out to help Tito Santana. I never would have expected any of those things and they all happened in one hour.  Stampede is a wild, wild scene.  Make sure you tune in next week as we have a lot of questions to ask.  So, in the meantime and in the in-between time… that’s it, another edition of Stampede Wrestling.

Right now Bad News is on top of the world and oh man he has his sights set on Paul Orndorff! That's going to be an epic showdown.

Williams and Saito! What a pairing! Talk about a force.

Lightfoot and Gama gets solid wins as the LHW division continues to get hotter.

Tito shines in the main event but Foley sends his men in for the attack. Jimmy Jam and Precious arrive as faces!

Good job setting up new storylines right after the big Halloween show.

Don, I am told, you have a huge announcement for us tonight.

Don Slatton:  That’s right Bob.  On Thanksgiving Night, Rocky Mountain Wrestling will be putting a wrestling spectacular in the Albuquerque Civic Auditorium.  Already signed for that major event will be the rematch for the Rocky Mountain Heavyweight Title between the champion, Blackjack Mulligan and the former Champion, Ernie “The Big Cat Ladd.”  I can guarantee you that these two men have some unfinished business and this is going to a match that you will not want to miss.

Cowboy Bob:  Well, all I know is that if the Thanksgiving Night Spectacular is anything like Halloween Howl, it will be a night to remember.  Speaking of Halloween Howl, that night left us with some unanswered questions.  More specifically, what was Lars Anderson doing helping the Iron Sheik and Nicolia Volkoff defeat Dory Funk Jr. for the tag team titles.

Lawman Don:  Well hopefully we will get some answers this week as Lars is supposed to join us later in the show.  We will also be seeing the self-proclaimed #1 free agent in the business, Dick Slater in action.  The Zamboui Express will make their in-ring debuts tonight, as will another team I am really excited to see, Tony Atlas and Hacksaw Duggan.  Also, in action will be Grizzly Boon and Kendall Windham.  In the main event, we will be seeing the Rocky Mountain Champion, Blackjack Mulligan in the ring against Man Mountain Link .

Cowboy Bob:  Well let’s get up on that bull and get this night started.

MATCH:

The Zamboui Express with Ernie Ladd crushes Tom Stone & Ed Oak with the end coming mercifully after Akeem Muhammed hit a powerslam.

Ernie Ladd seems to take over the post-match interview and the dominance of his men is totally ignored.

Ernie Ladd:  Ok Lawman…. Finally you have done something right.  My rematch with Mulligan is set for Thanksgiving Night.  What a night to carve up a giant turkey like Mulligan.  He thinks just because one corrupt referee gave my belt to Mulligan, that he can beat me again.  Mulligan is nothing more than a big dummy.  Thanksgiving is all about being grateful.  I promise you that on Thanksgiving night, the big dummy will be grateful to God …. if he can ever walk again.  Big Dummy… you listen and listen good…. SHINE MY BELT BOY!

COMMERCIAL

MATCH:  Kendall Windham defeats Josh Jones with a Running Bulldog

The fans really love the charisma in Kendall and Cowboy Bob never misses a chance to remind everyone that Kendall must get home early as he has his high school biology homework to finish up.

MATCH:  Grizzly Boone crushed Brain Garrett with a Giant Splash

The interesting part here was that Grizzly was the same nasty wrestler he was before but since he was kicked out of Ladd’s Army, the fans were 100% behind the big man.  In a quick post-match interview, the video tape from last week were Boone was jumped by the Zamboui Express is shown.

Grizzly Boone:  I know it was Elijah Akeem and Kareem Muhammed who attacked me last week but I also know it was at the command of one Ernie Ladd.  Ernie has put out many hits in the last few months… whether it was Eric Embry, Sonny King or Taras Bulba.  The attack was always sanctioned by Ladd.  He is the Godfather if you will of the Movement that is sweeping across the AWA.  I know this because I was often the one sent to carry out the deed.  Well now I see I was just being used.  Ernie Ladd is nothing but a bully hiding behind his goons.  Well the tide is about to turn…. But somethings will remain the same.  I will be still be carryout the hits except this time it will be on the members of Ernie Ladd’s Army including the Godfather himself.

COMMERCIAL

MATCH: Dirty Dick Slater defeats Steve Dean with 3 Right Hands followed by a Neckbreaker

Cowboy Bob Tallman:  Well Dick, do you wish to expand on your comments last week where you said you were the #1 free agent in the game and that you are here to help one of the good guys in the sport of wrestling.

Dick Slater:  In due time Cowboy, in due time!

MATCH:  THE USA EXPRESS (Atlas & Duggan) vs Ciclon Negro and Kim Duk

Negro and Duk do a good job of playing the hated foreigners which is perfect for the first match for the patriotic team of Duggan and Atlas.  Negro and Duk try to break every rule in the book which helps to put the USA Express over with the fans.  The end game when all 4 men were in the ring as Duggan gets town in the three-point stance and hits Duk with a big football tackle.

In the post-match interview, Duggan leads the crowd in a USA Chant as Atlas declares that he wants a piece of the Rocky Mountain tag champs, the Iron Sheik and Nicolai Volkoff at the Thanksgiving Thunder.

COMMERCIAL

ROCKY MOUNTAIN TITLE MATCH:  Blackjack Mulligan defeats Man Mountain Link with the Brain Claw

As soon as the ref made the three count, the Zamboui Express and Ernie Ladd hit the ring and started to beat on Mulligan.  It was obvious that Ladd was starting his campaign to weaken the champ as much as he could before their title bout on Thanksgiving.  Lucky for Mulligan, the calvary was there shortly to make the save.  This answered one question as part of the calvary was none other than the #1 free agent in the game, Dick Slater but it also left us with another question as the other man was in a yellow mask and yellow tights.  It didn’t matter who he was, he could really fight and soon the fan favorites were in charge of the ring!

Mulligan is screaming about how great it feels to have his own real true Army to combat Ladd now and how Ladd is the one who now needs to have eyes in the back of his head.

Dick Slater simple says that he told everyone he was here to help a good guy and that there is no one better than Blackjack Mulligan… the crowd simply explodes.

When asked who he was by Cowboy Bob, the man is the yellow mask says nothing.

COMMERCIAL

When we come out of break, Lars Anderson has finally come out to answer some questions on why he distracted the ref on Halloween Night in the Denver Auditorium which helped the Iron Sheik and Nicolai Volkoff win the tag titles.

Lars Anderson:  First of all… lets get one thing straight.  I am as American as anyone in this studio today.  This had nothing to do with helping the Iron Sheik or Nicolai Volkoff as what they say and do makes me sick but so does Dory Funk Jr!  I was sitting at home a few weeks ago and this show started with a match that was 5 years old when Dory Funk Jr. won some now extinct title.  Then Dory Funk Jr. comes out and is the guest commentator week after week as you, Cowboy Bob, keep telling him how wonderful he is and how much the Funks mean to the sport of professional wrestling.  You even went so far as to call the Funks the first family of wrestling.  I was at the breaking point and then the Lawman broke all the rules and allowed Dory to take Sweet Brown Sugar’s spot to defend a tag title that was not even his. WHY?  Just because he was a Funk!  I got so sick to my stomach that I had to show up in Denver and let everyone know that the Funks are overrated…and let everyone see that th first family of wrestling is in fact the Andersons and anytime Dory or any other Funk for that matter wants to step in the squared circle, I am ready to go.

All of a sudden, Dory comes out and goes right to the ring and is screaming at Lars to get in the ring and just as he said he would, Lars obliges.

No ref, no contract, no real match but real anger!  The brawl is on but unfortunately, we are out if time so only the fans in studio see how this one ends.

Cowboy Bob Tallman:  Well folks, tonight’s wild rodeo has come to a close.  See you next time on AWA Rocky Mountain All-Star Wrestling.  So long from Denver!

The Thanksgiving show is going to be big! We already know we're getting the Mulligan/Ladd rematch.

Genius move teaming up Atlas and Duggan as the USA Express. Sheik and Volkoff better watch out.

Ladd's army attacks Mulligan but Mulligan fights back with an army of his own. Mulligan should did bring the cavalry as Dick Slater sides with him! I wonder who the masked man is??? And I'm sure Grizzly Boone wouldn't mind helping him out. Things are going to get crazy!

Lars explains his actions and it looks like we're going to get an Anderson/Funk feud. YES!

Music intro with a montage of all the stars of Stampede Wrestling past and present is shown.

Broadcasting to our local affiliates in Alberta, Saskatchewan, and Manitoba, TSN all across Canada and Sports Channel America throughout the United States, the American Wrestling Association proudly presents Stampede Wrestling, coming to you from the CHCT Studios in Calgary, Alberta, Canada.

Ed Whalen:  Hi everybody and away we go with another edition of Stampede Wrestling and we have another ring-a-ding-dong-dandy of a show.  I am Ed Whalen coming to you from the CHCT Studies in downtown Calgary but before we get to our first match tonight, we need to go back to the end of last week’s main event featuring the Stampede Champion, Tito Santana.

Slaughter was his #1 priority.   Foley attacked with his entire stable of Butch Moffit, Gama Singh and of course, Sgt. Slaughter.  Santana held his own for a few seconds but the numbers game proved to be too much and Tito was being beaten until the crowd erupted as the Hart Foundation came to the ring along with none other than Jimmy Garvin and Precious.  Soon the fan favorites were in control of the ring and the fans went wild.

When the video was over, we see Jimmy Garvin along with Precious.

Ed Whalen:  Well, I must say that you really surprised us all last week.  How did it come to be that you would be in Stampede.

Jimmy Garvin:  To tell you the truth, John Foley caused this.  I was lucky enough to see Halloween Howl on Sports Channel American when I was down in Texas and I saw Foley talking about Canada as a bunch of second class citizens.  He went so far as to call the people of Canada, colonists.  I may be arrogant… I may be pompas… I may be gorgeous, … but I am first, a Canadian.  Nobody and I mean nobody is going to get away with talking about us like that. He thinks his #1 priority is getting Sgt. Slaughter his title back.  His #1 priority might be talking my foot from where the sun don’t shine!

Ed Whalen:  Well a little later in the show, you get your first match in Stampede and it is against one of Foley’s men, Butch Moffit.

Jimmy Garvin:  Butch Moffit… prepare to go get dropped on your head.  John Foley… if I get the chance, you are going to need a doctor!

Ed Whalen:  Well things here are getting very interesting.  Let’s get to our first match.

MATCH:

Ben Bassarab defeats Kim Duk with the Flying Body Press

(Commercials)

Sweet Brown Sugar & Brian Blair defeat Jeff McCloud & Vinny Storm as Sugar hit a top rope dropkick on Storm

Ed Whalen makes a point during the match that Sugar has been out of action for awhile due to an attack in Rocky Mountain Wrestling by the Iron Sheik but he seems to be okay now.  Blair and Sugar seem to work well together and they have the crowd eating out of their hands.  From their high flying moves to the willingness to play it rough when Storm and McCloud tried to bring it the gutter, the fans liked this duo from the start.

When asked what they were doing in Stampede Wrestling by Ed Whalen, both Blair and Sugar quickly replied the Outlaws.  It seems that both Blair and Sugar have been having trouble with Ron Bass and Black Bart for sometime and it all stems back to their days in Florida.  Sugar says that he has been chasing these two goons all around North America and when he saw them last week on Stampede Wrestling, he knew he was on his way to Calgary.  Both Blair and Sugar do make a little joke about the weather up here but express how it will all be worth it when Bass and Bart are running with their tails between their legs.

 (Commercials)

When we come out of break, Bad News Allen basically highjacks the show and he is fuming.  Bobby Heenan stands behind his new man but for once, keeps his mouth shut.

Bad News Allen:  Ok Whalen.  I need to know and I need to know now.

Ed Whalen:  Bad News, I am unsure what your are talking about.

Bad News:  I need to know who put this note in my locker.

Ed Whalen:  Again, Bad News, I have no idea what you are referring to.

Bad News Allen uncrumples a piece of paper and gives it to Whalen and he reads it.

“$25,000 BOUNTY FOR WHO EVER PUTS BAD NEWS ALLEN OUT OF WRESTLING”

Ed Whalen:  Wow… not sure who would do such a thing.

Bad News Allen:  Turn it over Whalen.

“I am coming for you Bad News”

Bad News Allen:  I am telling everyone in this sport right now.  If you wrote this or if you try to collect this money, you will find yourself in the cemetery.

As Bad News Allen storms off, Ed Whalen wonders who would have the guts to place a bounty on Bad News Allen and better yet, who would have the guts to collect it.

MATCH:

“The Canadian Strongman” Jos Leduc takes out Paul Londen with the Bearhug

This is the first time that we have seen Leduc in Calgary in a few months and he seems to have returned for gold but his first order of business is going to be to put Moose Morowski out of wrestling.

Jos Leduc:  Morowski has been limping around here for weeks now saying that he wants one last shot at a title and he wants to do it the right way.  He says he is going to show these fans that he can wrestle clean.  I got sick when I heard this.  I have no respect for those wrestlers who want to please the stupid fans.  Morowski … the one good thing is that you realize your time is coming to an end.  The bad thing is that it is coming sooner then you think.

 (Commercials)

MATCH:

Sgt. Slaughter with John Foley defeats Mike George with Cobra Clutch

After the match is over, John Foley is with Sarge at the interview desk where he is again screaming about how his #1 man is being cheated by the head colonist, Stu Hart.  He keeps on saying that his man wants his guaranteed rematch with Tito Santana but that he knows Stu Hart will just payoff another corrupt low life Canadian referee so what is the sense.  Again, Foley keeps on claiming that if Stu Hart was an honorable man like the rest of the Empire, then he would grant his request for a change of venue.

This brings out Stu Hart…

Stu Hart:  Ehhh, EHh.  I don’t like you John Foley.  I don’t like anything you stand for.  That being said, I would never ruin my reputation for a piece of trash like you.  My first job is to the fans of Stampede Wrestling and this match is one that the people of Canada deserve to see.  This is not a trial… this is MY company.  A Stampede Wrestling match must take place in Stampede Wrestling.  This match will take place in Calgary on Dec 2 in our return to the Victoria Pavilion.

Ed Whalen:  Wow, this is big news.  Stampede Wrestling has not been in the Pavilion since the night of the riot.  This is going to be one historic night in Wrestling History

Foley and Sarge are already not happy with this situation but then it gets worse as Stu Hart announces it will be a Loser-Leave Town Match.

By angering Hart, Foley may have just cost himself his #1!

Ed Whalen:  Well John Foley… you have been inviting me to all these big parties of late.  Maybe you could invite me to the Going Away Party.

COMMERCIALS

Match:  The Hart Foundation make quick work of the Lumberjacks

The interesting thing here was that Dr. Death and Mr. Saito along with Bobby Heenan come out and “scout” the Stampede Tag Team Champions but in a surprising turn of events, peace prevailed.

In the post-match interview, Ed Whalen asks the Hart Foundation what that was all about.

Brett Hart:  I think Heenan has a short memory.  The biggest mistake in my career was joining Heenan for a short time and I thought he would have learned one thing about me…. I can’t be intimidated.  If he things Steve Williams and Mr. Saito coming out to ringside was going to through me off me game, he is not only a weasel but a dumb weasel at that.

Jim Neidhart:  Bobby Heenan, Not sure if you have noticed… members of the Heenan Family keep losing and leaving you.  I hope you haven’t convinced these two clowns that you can lead them to a title.  The only thing you are going is leading them to a world of hurt.  Hahahahahaha

Ed Whalen:  Fans, you may love the Hart Foundation but that laugh from the Anvil means he is ready for business.

COMMERCIALS

MAIN EVENT

Jimmy Garvin with Precious beats Butch Moffit ith John Foley with a Brainbuster

This match ended with some real chaos.  Right when Garvin had Moffit up for the Brainbuster, Sgt. Slaughter was charging down the aisle.  It is obvious that Garvin’s comments before angered him and he was looking for some revenge.  Lucky for Garvin, Tito Santana was planning ahead and was only a step behind Slaughter.  As Slaughter and Tito brawled on the floor, Precious clobbered Foley with her “loaded” purse.  Garvin got the victory and the fan favorites really got a great ending to tonight’s show.

Ed Whalen:  Not sure where the time went tonight but what a show we just saw.   Stampede is a wild, wild scene.  Make sure you tune in next week as we will have another ring-a-ding-dong-dandy of ahow for you.  So, in the meantime and in the in-between time… that’s it, another edition of Stampede Wrestling.
