Days of Thunder is the WCW Thunder rewatch podcast that nobody asked for but we did anyway. Hosted by Dave Ryan and myself Lee Malone, we chronologically review every episode of Thunder with the simple question of ;

If you only watch Thunder, just how much sense would WCW storylines and Pay Per View's make?

You can find us on Twitter @WCWThunderPod @thedaytodave @Malone_713

We are back with episode 10 of Thunder and its the final stop before Uncensored. Is the Giant the bravest or dumbest man in WCW?

Would WCW really give away a huge World Title match on TBS just 3 days before a PPV?

Could WCW ruin our anticipation for the US Title Triple Jeopardy match?

You gotta listen to find out the answer to these and many more questions as well as our usual off topic ramblings.

Don't forget to give us your feedback here or on twitter @WCWThunderPod or to our personal accounts @thedaytodave @Malone_713

It’s the classic WCW PPV of two halves this week on the show as Dave and Lee chat about Uncensored ’98. Come gather round on this latest stop on Thunder Road as we talk about some high highs, and some low lows:

*Dave befriended a poet on a weekend away

*Jericho and Malenko save our day

*Konnan breaks Lee’s spirit.

*Referees’ peripheral vision hits an all time low.

As always, we’ll be back in two weeks for our next episode, and encourage people to watch the shows along with us and send us any thoughts or memories. You can drop us an email at either [email protected] or [email protected].

Days of Thunder this week kicks us off on the road to Spring Stampede, and oh boy did we make this a very late 90s podcast:

*The Matrix and the finer points of Dave’s first DVD purchases.

*The return of the Martial Arts Division

*KENDALL

*A truly surreal MTV segment.

As always, we’ll be back in two weeks for our next episode, and encourage people to watch the shows along with us and send us any thoughts or memories. You can drop us an email at either [email protected] or [email protected]

1 hour ago, Richeyedwards said:

Hell of a fun pod listened to them all in a few days, I am sort of suprised the thunder in paradise theme wasn't used as a theme

Thanks Richey, glad to hear you are enjoying the show. Maybe it's because Thunder in Paradise was never much of a thing on this side of the Atlantic we never considered it for the theme of the pod.

The boys are feeling the burn as we tumble down Thunder Road this week:

*Jericho vs. Disco: a match sure to give Dave mixed emotions

*nWo tension: what a novel idea!

*Scott Norton vs. Rick Steiner in a collision of beef

*a defence of our newly announced Linear Martial Arts Championship belt.

You may hear at the top of the show that we have opened a Fantasy Premier League Table for Thunder buddies. If football/soccer is your bag and you want a chance to win fabulous WCW themed prizes come end of season, head to https://fantasy.premierleague.com/ to create your team, then under Join Private Leagues, use code gkz577 to join us! The mysterious forces of the internet did not want us to record. But what do we say to the God of Skype? Not today! On the show this week:

*So much Jericho, for which we are thankful.

*Hennig vs. Duggan, for which we are not.

*Actual characterization in a main event story!

*Dave turns a corner on Buff Bagwell

With Spring Stampede 1998 right around the corner, Days of Thunder brings you a scorcher of a go home show:

*You want pre-tape promos? How about a million of them?

*A virtuoso Bagwell performance

*Bret didn't screw Lee. Lee screwed Lee.

And now for something completely different.

If you missed the announcement on the last Days of Thunder main episode, this is the start of an occasional mini-series called Pick Your Poison where we bring in a guest to discuss the body of work of one of the wrestlers we have met on Thunder Road.

On our first episode we are joined by Twitter's leading Lucha/Irish Soccer expert BohsJohnny ( http://twitter.com/bohsjohnny) as we talk about Latino Heat himself Eddie Guerrero.

Our regularly scheduled programming will resume next week with Thunder #16 so stay tuned!

We as always encourage people to watch the matches for Pick Your Poison along with us and send us any thoughts or memories of Eddie by email or on social media. You can drop us an email at either [email protected] or [email protected]

Please feel free to follow us on Twitter twitter.com/wcwthunderpod and continue the Thunder chat, or in our podcast thread on PWO

Rolling into Slamboree at break neck pace, Dave and Lee are back to work on a show that nearly broke us:

*What the hell is going on?

*High Voltage, low expectations

*The worst spear bump you'll see this week.

*Perry Saturn's best ever promo.

As always, we’ll be back in two weeks for our next episode, and encourage people to watch the shows along with us and send us any thoughts or memories. You can drop us an email at either [email protected] or [email protected]

The Pay Per Views are coming thick and fast on Days of Thunder, and sadly this one felt thick and not at all fast. On the show:

*A Hall of Fame worthy performance from one Chris Jericho

*Eric Bischoff: not Gotten To

*Bret Hart vs. Randy Savage nearly causes our hosts a mental breakdown.

*Some Classic WCW booking

As always, we’ll be back in two weeks for our next episode, and encourage people to watch the shows along with us and send us any thoughts or memories. You can drop us an email at either [email protected] or [email protected]

Days of Thunder #17: Conspiracy of One

The lords of Thunder sent us down a bad one this week folks, but your intrepid hosts are buoyed by the Thunder Buddies out there to get us over the line as we do our first ever Q&A to kick off, then settle down to discuss the 17th episode of Thunder:

*A video production team on all manner of drugs.

*A simply Perfect Rude and Hennig promo segment.

*The mat classic that was Duggan vs. Neidhart

*A man no one recignises still using disguises.

As always, we’ll be back in two weeks for our next episode, and encourage people to watch the shows along with us and send us any thoughts or memories. You can drop us an email at either [email protected] or [email protected]
