God I hope it's true.

In the meantime, turns out like Lacey Evans' daughter is a natural at this sports entertainment thing.

I do like the idea that Bayley is mostly fighting against Lacey Evans is because she realized trying to be a role model for children was a pain in the ass and not effective

By the way Christian seems very punch drunk

I know it is really early but man running in a baseball field might be an awful idea given how many empty seats out there

Damn I think Gable's cauliflower ear just popped and he is bleeding pretty bad

She apparently mentors a lot of the women since nearly everyone who's been in the company after her has nothing but reverence when they talk about her.

Its weird seeing Gable in Basketball shorts, last time I seen him he had Golden State inspired shorts today he has Laker inspired shorts. I dont like that he's going by Shorty G instead of using in as a nickname. Its like they want you to notice that he's "undersized"

I haven't followed any WWE in a few months, so the idea of Drew winning seems crazy. I'm all for it. Hoping Baszler wins the Women's Rumble.

Sheamus and Gable was a lot of fun. Forgotten how great Sheamus is. A total hoss.

Shorty G is seriously the worst name for a wrestler. I can’t imagine it as a good name for any character really.

Sheamus vs. Shorty G did nothing for me.

The outcome was never in doubt.

The match never needed to happen.

I have no problems with a Sheamus comeback win, but they could also be doing something meaningful with Chad Gable instead of this, getting the benefit of both Sheamus and Gable instead of a scenario that honestly benefits neither.

Drew McIntyre winning would be...something.

I'm not a fan of the guy, but I've been talking about how stale the WWE main event scene has been and McIntyre getting the "outta nowhere" push would be undeniably new and unexpected. I'd be curious to see if they could get him over as a challenger for Lesnar considering McIntyre has always struck me as a natural heel and, in that position, you'd typically have a popular babyface.

Of course, they could permanently castrate him and have him win the Rumble only to challenge for the NXT Championship - which I've seen suggested as a way to get the NXT Brand over, but anyone who would do that would be such a massive nerd and would definitely make them look like a total coward for not going after Lesnar. At least if Reigns wins, one might argue that him challenging Bray makes sense because he did technically "slay the beast" at SummerSlam a few years back and Reigns is on SmackDown.

The Rey/Andrade ladder match looks like it was great. Feels like we should of gotten that on the main card instead of this tucked away on the pre-show.

Wait when did Tom Phillips starting working on RAW?

So they are starting with reigns vs Corbin which pretty much everyone knew since the talks of Reigns winning appeared

Agreed. Humberto is not over and not a star, no matter how much they try.

As much as we talk about them needing to build new stars (Humberto) vs. going with old hands (Rey), it would've been fine because Andrade himself still needs to be built up IMO, and Rey could've assisted with that.

I'm a bit worried that this show is going to suffer because of crowd burnout. They sound bored already. I remember Styles/Bryan had a great technical match last year to utter silence because of the fatigue of having to see two Rumble matches.

Humberto looks like right jobber. Not seen him before but he's not winning me over.

Humberto has always been great in the ring but he barely talks and when he does it isn't much at all.   Hard to get over

The only benefit from this dead crowd is that we can actually hear how great a manager Zelina Vega is

Yeah, I can't fault Humberto's in ring skills. He looked solid enough. He just didn't give me much reason to care.

R-Truth is great. He makes everything he's given work.

I guess this match will be how they decide to use Corbin in the next 2 months.  If Corbin beats Reigns (which I expect) then we will at least get one more match and god forbid something at WM.  If Reigns wins then luckily this nightmare of a feud is over
