So another issue that is starting to bubble up seem to be folks in MLW uncomfortable with Mister Saint Laurent (the COO) and his ties with Chaysn Rance.

Saieve Al Sabah went public after finding out about it (after he signed) and requested his release, then shared a convo with Brian Pillman Jr where he mentioned he also requested his release but didn't get it.

The Pillman thing is interesting because he obviously was fairly close to Teddy Hart for a bit there, might be a tell that he thinks there's some fire to that smoke.

It seems pretty clear that even if Teddy wasn't directly involved with whatever shenanigans went on, he knows more than he lets people believe.

I think people missed the mark outing Joey Ryan and David Starr.

They should've been outing Joseph Meeham and Max Barsky, because it's Meeham and Barsky and Macahren et al. that the wider community needs to be informed about and protected from.

It's like outing Cliff Huxtable instead of Bill Cosby

So, is it a coincidence that Pillman has his AEW debut match on Dark this week against Shawn Spears?

Yes and no. I think a more suitable analogy would be outing Kevin Spacey as a predator when his real name is Kevin Fowler. Everyone knows him as Spacey, so outing him by using his real name would have been less effective IMO. Kind of the same deal here. Joey Ryan and David Starr are their stage names, just as Kevin Spacey is Kevin Fowler's stage name. (Well, Spacey is apparently his middle name, but you get the point.) No one knows who Kevin Fowler, Joseph Meeham, and Max Barsky are, but everyone knows who Kevin Spacey, Joey Ryan, and David Starr are.

Off topic but not really and I'm really depressed/pissed off about it : our new Minister of the Interior (basically the first cop of the country) is a guy who has an ongoing investigation for rape and sexual harrassment. And it's apparently not an issue at all to be promoted to this function. He's also an homophobe who spoke against the right for gays to get married and adopt children. And our new Minister of Justice is a sensationalist lawyer who was against the #MeToo movement and think street harrassment isn't real...

So yeah, girls, go talk and file charges now... you'll be heard.

As far as Pillman goes, good, MLW has lost every bit of whatever luster it once had.

In the United States of America, which I'm sure you're fully aware of as I imagine a lot of it makes national news, we have been such a ridiculous shit show for over three years now that it's hard to keep reading new daily headlines without losing your shit. We have lost any respect we had with other nations, due to our current President. On top of that, because Donald Trump is such a monumental sexist, racist, imbecile & fuck-up, pieces of shit like Mitch McConnell, Betsy DeVos, William Barr & Brett Kavanaugh basically go unnoticed & unseen. If you ever want to go down a wormhole of despair & sorrow, read about our politics over the last few years. It makes our handling (or lack there of) of the Coronavirus & the Black Lives Matter protests look trivial in comparison. That's without even getting into other things like Jeffrey Epstein, Russia & Putin, China, impeachment, the Mueller Report, James Comey, Michael Flynn, the daily briefings, the tweets, the attempt to discredit all news media, using our military against our own citizens to set-up a photo op, windmills causing cancer, injecting bleach, Donald Trump Jr. & Ivanka Trump, Stormy Daniels, neo-Nazis, the border wall & detention camps. Just to name a few things that happen & then get forgotten about a day or two later as some new scandal & ridiculous claim inevitably pops up.

Our POTUS has multiple sexual allegations against him, with multiple women coming forward & is even on tape talking about sexually assaulting women ("grab 'em by the pussy!") & no one seems to give a fuck. It's lunacy. Things that would make people gasp in their hideousness happen on a damn near daily basis with this piece of shit. If you follow along with his antics daily, it will drive you mad. Meanwhile, no matter what he does, how many crimes he commits, the Republicans will protect him at any & all cost. Despite the fact that Trump himself has shown that he has zero loyalty to anyone & will not hesitate to fire people & throw them under the bus at the drop of a dime.

Stormy Daniels, did this happen in our lifetime? That really seems like ages (or ten scandals and a pandemic) ago.

Not getting too political, but how do you end up with Donald Trump and Joe Biden as candidates for the most powerful job in the world? You would assume that both political sides could come up with much better candidates. I mean in theory you have 330 Mio. people to draw from (okay, considering the requirements of being a natural born citizen and 35 or older, this reduces that number to 100 to 150 Mio. people, but still). If one side would not be Donald Trump, I could see an argument that the two-party system enforces moderate-to-a-fault candidates, but with Trump being where he is, that cannot be the reason.

Without getting into too much of a political debate, we got to this point because both major US parties pulled right, and now one keeps going further right with a kind of bravado reserved for winners (via tons of gerrymandering and voter suppression) and the other follows behind because they think they're losing because they aren't enough like the other assholes.

Think of it as when TNA/Impact copied WWE, they did poorly and people stopped giving a damn. When they did their own thing and stopped caring, people paid attention.

Biden is running the most progressive campaign of a main party nominee in recent history, support for progressive ideas is at an all-time high, and Trump's approval/poll numbers are very poor. It definitely seems the pendulum is swinging to the left. I'd also argue the Republican party under Trump hasn't actually gone further to the right so much as it has embraced corporate cronyism and science denial. It's now about socialism for the rich.

Not to mention that his followers are nearly fanatical at this point and will defend everything he says with absolute hate no matter how utterly absurd, impossible, or wrong it is.

Of course, now Trump is busy attacking an African American Nascar Driver because he apparently has absolutely nothing better to do while being the President of the United States of America than harass minor celebrities.

OT, does anybody else find it hilarious that Nick Gage, of all people, comes across as a legitimately decent person? It seems like his worst was when he got popped for armed robbery and there's gotta be a few skeletons in his closet, but I haven't seen/heard any chatter about him being a scumbag since he did his time.

Wasn't the robbery due to him having drug issues at the time? If he's cleaned up that would probably remove the main motivation of him being a scumbag.

Matt Riddle put up a short video, denying the allegations and said he was guilty of cheating on his wife with the accuser. Their extramarital affairs are their personal business, but his story has changed already from "She is a complete psycho" to "I had a relationship with her but I did not do anything that she is accusing me of", which does not sound good for him.

I guess this comes on the verge of the woman (can't remember her name) posting pictures of them together.

Doesn't mean that she hasn't gone psycho on him after he broke up that relationship or something.
Doesn't mean that she isn't telling the truth about the rape either.

Either way, it's very bad.

Riddle now is scheduled to appear on Bubba the Love Sponge so shit's bad, really really bad.

Wow. That asshole still exists ? And yeah, why would you go *there* to begin with, much less I guess to address rape accusations ? With all the shit with Hogan stemming from dealing with this human piece of garbage (Bischoff's promos on the TNA episodes were worth the listen alone), this is a really piss poor choice.

Also, his original story was that he “considered” filing a restraining order against her and she has been stalking him since 2017. Then it was revealed he was having an affair with her in 2019. Lying like that brings basically all of his story into a gigantic question, we’re as the accuser has had the same story, unchanged, the entire time.

Really not looking good for Riddle.

Didn't Kong slap the shit out of him? She'd have got a job for life with me if I ran a wrestling company just for that.

Actually she was fired over confronting Bubba when he worked in TNA because he said stupid shit about Haiti. Bischoff marking out about it (about Kong slapping  him I mean) on his podcast was quite endearing. Yeah, Kong rules and Bubba is a piece of garbage.
