When DBry and Roman had their gauntlet tag during their Fastlane build, The Ascension lost by DQ and dominated them. But I guess even by that point, it was clear they weren't the right choice. It's a no win situation, either the new guy gets beat or you have a non finish that does them no favors. Plus in this case it literally gets overshadowed in seconds by furthering the angle you just started.
