I'm really curious to see if that meeting with Vince will amount to anything, and especially if somebody will speak up and if it's the case, who. Would a locker room leader like Roman Reigns, who isn't affected directly by the Twitch ban, dare to take his co-workers' side on this?

I mean, if "we have to change one of our talent's names so Google searches don't bring up sexual assault allegations and lawsuits" is an issue your company has to deal with, perhaps it's a sign you might want to have some serious conversations.

Come on, that's the greatest reason for a name change ever. Trivia for the ages.

They're just announcing record profits but they also need to take away the streaming income of a girl in her 20s who can't wrestle anymore because she hurt her neck in their ring.

Yeah but... *they made her*. I mean that's what WWE fanboy actually told her on social medias. Yeah, this company is a cult.

He never took the side of his co-workers during the Covid stuff before, he just went home. He's not a "locker room leader", he's a good little corporate soldier (which actually may be the same thing when you think about it).

Well, we know one guy who hasn't handed anything over to Vince yet and it's Adam Cole BAYBAY since he's currently streaming on Twitch.

I for one look forward to him being promoted to the main roster and renamed Herman Finkelbottom just so they can have him sign a new deal to shut down his Twitch.

I'm only half joking since we all know they are more than petty enough to do that.

Walter vs Ilja from this week's NXT UK was not for me. All I saw was 30 minutes of guys slapping each other in the ears, back of the neck and chest, with an outcome that was never remotely in doubt. My mind started to wander after ten minutes or so, which was a good effort (lasting that long) given they were just rinsing and repeating. Brutal? Yeah, sort of - if you equate slapping with brutality. More like violence-porn than pro-wrestling, imho.

We'll I give her credit for being very outspoken about this since the beginning. She probably thinks they won't let her go because it'll look bad on them or either she wants to be outspoken just to get let go. They'll never use her right in a non wrestling role so I think if she was to leave she'd probably have a better non Wrestling role in AEW. AEW is alot better at using Legends and other non wrestlers on TV than WWE.

Its crazy how WWE is past year and a half went from snatching talent from everywhere to keep them away from AEW, to letting people go because they feel that the pandemic would prevent AEW from having any momentum regardless of who the pick up from off their TV.

They're totally going to do the "good girl gone bad" deal with Aliyah aren't they? That whole segment gave me "early 2000 Steph" vibes.

My best friend messaged me during the show that this eerily reminded him of the Test/Stephanie/Shane angle and I can't say that he's wrong because the basis is almost the same.

Holy Shit. The Walter/Dragunov match from this weeks NXT UK has to be the stiffest match ever contested under a WWE banner.

Heard nothing but praise for WALTER/Dragunov. You know a match is good when it makes people tune in to NXT UK, of all things.

Great, great stuff.

I'm glad you guys recommended it.

I also love how the new WWE Network redesign makes it easy to jump right into what you want to see.

WALTER and Dragunov could've slowed down and sold a bit more - *old man yelling at clouds here* - but this was the type of stiff, hard-hitting, awesome action you generally only see in Japan and almost never see in the WWE, so it's worth going out of your way to see for that reason.

And yeah, like Bubba said, getting people to tune into NXT UK - an irrelevant, sex pest infested, vanity project - is really saying something about what a good match this is.

This usually kills it for me too, but since the match was presented as Dragunov being a clear underdog and not really having a chance, the story became WALTER beating the shit out of him, with the photogenic little Russian who resembles a teenage Sean Penn getting his licks in and somehow surviving onslaught after onslaught from the massive Austrian oak.
