I have bought my favorite wrestling promotion from one of the nicest men in the wrestling business, Jim Crockett Jr. Everyone's contract in talent and production will transfer in the sale and they will all get a 20% increase in pay due to any sort of inconvenience this sale might cause. Our announcement on the wrestling side is that all titles will be vacant and starting this Saturday  Feb 20th, he will start our tournaments to determine new Mid-Atlantic, Mid-Atlantic Tag Team Champions and a new U.S Heavyweight Champion. WPCQ 36 Sports anchor Lou Tilley received some information from Mid-Atlantic official Sandy Scott about some of the teams that will be involved in Mid-Atlantic wrestling.

The first is the Andersons ( Ole & Gene), Along with cousin Ric Flair. Flair has a tag team partner named Greg Valentine and this foursome is going to be known as the Family. Scott said that the Family could have some issues in the future if they meet up in the Mid-Atlantic Tag Team Tournament. Both Flair & Valentine are strong singles wrestlers and are always in the mix for any single title held around the world and the Anderson's are the area's longest tenured tag team.

The next group is managed by long time veteran Bobby Heenan and he has his stable of wrestlers. First is former world champion Nick Bockwinkle and powerful tag team known as the Black & Blue Express ( former Olympian Ken Patera & veteran "Big Bad" Bobby Duncum). These 4 will not be afraid to break the rules, even though they don't have to.

Now coming down the aisle are the people of the Street and they are 4 individuals who love to slap hands and kiss babies ( I wouldn't advise that last part) and they are managed by Jimmy Hart and his group consists of former enemy Jerry "The King" Lawler, "Bad Bad" Leroy Brown and The "Boogie Woogie Man" Jimmy Valiant. This eccentric group should be fun to watch and could cause havoc to some of the bad guys in the area.

We have now an interesting mix of talent from the US and Japan in terms of wrestling skill and violence. They are known as the House of Humperdink and are managed by Sir Oliver Humperdink. Buzz Sawyer and Matt Borne are young veterans who have a nice mix of violence and wrestling ability. Sawyer is a former Florida High School Wrestling champion and Borne is a Second generation wrestler who has been around the business all of his life. When speaking of wrestlers , you can't go without saying the name of Dory Funk Jr. The former heavyweight champion . Funk is known as a Pro's pro and can win a match anyway that is needed. He is still a dangerous man who can defeat wrestlers much younger then himself. The man known as "Hump" went to the orient and brought back a former Olympian in Jumbo Tsuruta and strike master Tenryu.

Lastly originally from the Pacific Northwest, where they dominated the competition there for 3 years, you have "Playboy" Buddy Rose and his army of men. Long time tag team partner "Crippler" Rip Oliver is his main lieutenant and now has been joined by "Cowboy" Ron Bass and 6'9", 400 lb. monster the One Man Gang. This is one dangerous crew and will be a force to reckon with.

This is probably the most stacked roster and the crazy part is that it resembles what Mid-Atlantic had at one point. Looking forward to seeing how everything shakes out and who comes out on top.

It paid out top wages and the weather wasn't that bad.

The Mid-Atlantic theme plays and the opening screen of Bob Caudle appears. Welcome to another week of Mid-Atlantic Championship Wrestling. We have 4 big matches scheduled in the 1st round and everything will come down to the Finals for the prestigious Mid-Atlantic Heavyweight Championship. Our 4 1sr round matches are:

“Chief” Wahoo McDaniel vs long time rival. Greg “The Hammer” Valentine
“The Scotsman” Roddy Piper  vs. “Strongman” Ken Patera in an interesting match-up
Barry Windham vs   the young former Japanese Olympian Jumbo Tsuruta
“Cowboy” Ron Bass takes on Jay Youngblood

Our first match is in the ring.in the ring as  From Midland Texas weighing 265 lbs. “Chief” Wahoo McDaniel. Weighing 243 lbs. from Seattle Washington, “The Hammer”, Greg Valentine . Sonny Fargo is your referee for this 20 minute match-up.

Wahoo and Valentine know each other well and it takes a few minutes of a feeling out process before Wahoo takes down Valentine to the mat for a side headlock takedown. Wahoo works the head and neck as he loves to use his tomahawk chop of his. Valentine staggers to his feet after a few elbows to the knee of his opponent. Both men are at their base and are throwing right hands to the body and head in a back and forth battle. The long-time rivals know each other’s tendencies and are careful, even though it appears that they are firing at will. Valentine catches Wahoo with a thumb to the eye and Wahoo falls to the outside of the ring. Valentine follows and drops several knees to the head of Wahoo as the 10 count begins. Sonny Fargo gets to 6 before Valentine climbs back into the ring. At the count of 8, Valentine breaks up the count and goes back to the outside and chop blocks Wahoo’s left knee as Wahoo is still favoring that well placed thumb. Wahoo’s knee buckles and the former football player falls back onto the floor. Valentine picks up Wahoo and delivers an atomic drop on the concrete that levels Wahoo onto his back. Valentine quickly picks Wahoo up and rolls him back inside the ring as Fargo gets the count up to 7. Both men are back inside, however Wahoo is worse for wear. Valentine works on the knee as Wahoo is struggling to stay in the match.  Valentine grabs Wahoo’s left leg and tries to turn over McDaniel into a single leg Boston Crab. After 45 seconds or so, Wahoo can’t fight it off and Valentine has the advantage, by yanking at the injured leg and putting pressure onto the lower back of Wahoo. Valentine now is able to lay all the way back putting an extreme amount of pressure on Wahoo’s leg and back and McDaniel is trying to reach for the ropes. As Wahoo gets close to the ropes, Valentine lets go and hits a jumping knee to the lower back of Wahoo. Valentine rolls him over and gets a 2 count as Wahoo kicks free. There is 5 minutes left as Valentine continues to work on the leg and back of McDaniel, getting several near falls in the process. Wahoo is flat on his back and Valentine grabs his leg and starts to apply several spinning toe holds to further weaken Wahoo. However, Wahoo manages to kick free and knocks Valentine into the nearest turnbuckle. Both men are down as Wahoo is really hampered from Valentine’s attack. Valentine is up first, but is met with a chop to the mid-section form Wahoo. Wahoo starts chopping away from his knees to back up Valentine into the corner as he tries to make it to his feet. Wahoo with some help of the ropes, pulls himself back to his base and is giving back some of the punishment that he received earlier. The match has turned back into a brawl with chops and forearms landing from both wrestlers. The bell rings out of nowhere as the match is over, but referee Sonny Fargo can’t keep them separated. Finally both men stop from exhaustion and the match is declared a DRAW.

Commercials.

Back up to the ring from Glasgow Scotland at 235lbs, Roddy Piper. From Portland Oregon at 280 lbs., Ken Patera. Stu Schwartz is your official.

Piper hand his bagpipes to the ring attendant and is attacked from the back by Patera. Patera just beats on Piper, yelling things at him. Patera has Piper on the ground and is stomping on the neck of the Scotsman. Patera goes to the canvas and puts Piper in a painful looking chin lock.  Patera is just grinding away as Piper is just trying to stay alive in the match at this junction, as Patera’s attack was a surprise, but Piper should’ve been on his toes and more careful considering the win at all cost reputation that the Strongman has. Patera is just working the neck and Piper has had no offense nor any defense to stop the onslaught. Piper starts frantically grabbing at the face of Patera like a pit bull and is able to rake the eyes to force Patera to break his grip. Piper gets up and starts firing punches and kicks at Patera as the man from Oregon is now on the defense. Piper shoves referee Schwartz out of the way when he tries to get Piper to break along the ropes. Piper does it again and is told by Schwartz that he is on the brink of getting disqualified if he does it again. Patera yells something at Piper and he goes ballistic and shoves Schwartz to the ground again and the referee has no choice but to call fore the bell. Winner by DQ is Ken Patera.

Bob Caudle: I have a feeling that Patera is thinks that he was just plain lucky to get the win over the “Rowdy” Scotsman. Barry Windham come on in here as you have a man not known by many here in this area in Jumbo Tsuruta up next.

Windham: Thanks Mr. Caudle as this is my 1st opportunity to go for a single title all on my own without my Father being here to watch me. (noise from the side)

Ron Bass: Listen boy, you have no shot at winning as even if you get past that Japanese wrestler, you have to face the man that ran your Daddy out of the area and forced him to go into hiding!!

Windham: Bass, we don’t have to wait to meet in the next round as we can go at it right now!

Bass: (Backing away) Save that for the next round boy!

Commercials

From Sweetwater Texas, at 225 lbs. Barry Windham. From Japan at 290 lbs, Jumbo Tsuruta. Referee Stu Schwartz

They lock up and it’s an amateur exhibition to start off things and surprisingly, it’s the tall Texan getting the upper hand over the Olympian. Jumbo has years of experience and gets out of everything quickly that Windham is able to put on him. It’s almost like Tsuruta let him put these holds of him just to show him up a bit. The next 10 minutes is a pure wrestling match until Tsuruta is sent to the corner turnbuckle and Windham goes charging after him and hits shoulder first as Jumbo bounces out of the way. Tsuruta puts on painful after more painful arm locks to punish and continue to hurt the already injured shoulder of Windham. Windham is able to make it to the ropes after another 6 minutes of having his shoulder wore down. The end comes after both men are at their bases hitting various slams and suplexes and Windham just simply uses Jumbo’s momentum against him and roles him chest first into the ropes for a roll-up and gets the surprise 3 count for the victory.

Fast commercial

Up in the blue corner is Ron Bass from Pampa Texas at 289 lbs. In the red corner in the head dress is Jay Youngblood, 212 lbs. from Oklahoma. Referee Sonny Fargo.

Bass overpowers his opponent and then starts to dominate by using the cheap tactics he is know for. Bass throws Youngblood out of the ring, follows him and whips him back first into the steel ring post. Youngblood is down and injured as Bass is beating on Youngblood on the outside. Referee Fargo starts to count, but is distracted by Eddie Gilbert who comes to ringside telling Fargo that there is a situation going on in the back. Just as Fargo turns around, a skinny masked man comes out and hits Bass over the head with a chair, knocking him down and out. The masked man runs away and Fargo sees both wrestlers down and brings to count. The count is up to 8, 9 and 10 as neither man could get up of the concrete. The match is a double count out.

Bob Caudle. The finals for the Mid-Atlantic Heavyweight Championship will be on Friday the 26th at the Greensboro Coliseum in Greensboro North Carolina. It will be veteran strongman Ken Patera going against the young Texan Barry Windham. ( yelling from the background)

Sir Oliver Humperdink. Caudle, we know it’s young Windham underneath that mask like the coward he is.  The Apple certainly doesn’t fall far from the tree I see. You just better hope that Ron Bass doesn’t cripple you permanently the next time he lays his eyes on you. I hope for your sake that you stay in hiding until the 26th and hope that the big Cowboy doesn’t see you until the 27th.

The Mid-Atlantic theme plays and the opening screen of Bob Caudle appears. Welcome to another week of Mid-Atlantic Championship Wrestling. We have 4 big matches scheduled in the 1st round and everything will come down to the Finals for the prestigious Mid-Atlantic Tag Team Championship. Our 4 1sr round matches are:

Ric Flair & Greg Valentine vs. Jimmy Valiant & Leroy Brown
Buzz Sawyer & Matt Borne vs. Ole & Gene Anderson
The Fabulous Freebirds vs. Ricky Steamboat & Jay Youngblood
Buddy Rose & Rip Oliver vs. Ken Patera & Bobby Duncan

Bob Caudle. Our 1st match is ready in the ring.
Ric Flair & Greg Valentine vs. Jimmy Valiant & Leroy Brown referee is Sonny Fargo

It’s Valentine and Brown that start out and the team of Brown & Valiant gain the early advantage due to the strength of Brown and the unorthodox style of Valiant. They tag in and out, until Valentine catches Valiant with a well- placed elbow to the solar plexus. This allows a tag to Flair, who backs Vailant into the corner and starts to chop up his chest. The team of Flair & Valentine tag in and out like a well oiled machine and they show their experience as a team and former NWA World Tag Team Champions. They take Valiant down to the canvas and start to work on his right leg. Brown is itching to get into the ring as whoever is in the ring, tries and torment Brown to come in so they can double team Valiant. This works several times and Valiant is starting to take some enormous amount of damage on his legs. Flair is in the ring and just as he drops another knee to the right leg of Valiant, Valiant rolls to his side and Flair misses. Flair tries this several more times and each time Valiant rolls out of the way. Valiant is so close to Brown and just as he’s about to tag the big man in, Valentine catches Brown from the outside and knocks him from the ring apron. Flair is back up and applies the figure four to Valiant as Valentine works on Brown outside on the floor. Valiant is passed out from the pain of all the damage done to his leg and Sonny Fargo simply hits the canvas 3 times to count Valiant out of the match.

Winners: Ric Flair & Greg Valentine

Commercial break.

Bob Caudle. Match 2 is in the ring and in the red corner, it’s Buzz Sawyer & Matt Borne. In the Blue corner, The Minnesota Wrecking Crew, Ole & Gene Anderson. Tommy Young is your referee.

Gene Anderson and Matt Borne start out and it’s the youngsters who start out in control using their speed to their advantage. Sawyer & Borne are able to keep Gene in the ring and start to work on the old Anderson trait, the arm. This doesn’t last long Gene hits Sawyer with a low blow when Young was being distracted by Ole Anderson and Gene quickly tags in Ole. Ole is particularly vicious and appears to want to injure Sawyer by the way he is attacking him. Ole works on the left arm of Sawyer and the Anderson’s start to tag in and out it seems, every 20 seconds. Sawyer looks like a beaten man as Gene hooks Sawyer’s left arm behind his back and goes for the hammerlock slam. As soon as Gene picks Saywer up, Buzz hooks the leg and takes over Gene in a cradle and Ole is a bit slow getting into the ring as Tommy Young quickly makes the 3 count! The crowd is going wild as the major upset just occurred! Ole & Gene try and rough up referee Young, but he escapes to the outside as fast as he can.

Winners: Buzz Sawyer & Matt Borne

Bob Caudle: What a win for the 2 youngsters! (Sawyer & Borne are seen running past Caudle as they head back to the dressing room and into safety)

Commercial break.

Bob Caudle: Our 3rd first round match is ready to go as the referee is Stu Schwartz.
(Ricky Steamboat walks out to the ringside)
Steamboat: Bob, due to the injury that Jay suffered during his match with Ron Bass last night, Jay will be unable to compete tonight and we will have to forfeit our match to the Freebirds.
Bob Caudle: That’s some unfortunate news Ricky and we hope that you guys will be teaming back up sometime soon.
Steamboat: Thanks Bob. We thought that we would’ve had a great shot tonight, but injuries happen and it was not meant to be.

Bob Caudle: Ok then, our 4th match is ready and the referee will still be Stu Schwartz.

Buddy Rose & Rip Oliver vs. Ken Patera & Bobby Duncum

There is a commotion at ringside and it’s Roddy Piper jumping into the ring and attacking Ken Patera as Patera and Oliver are locking up. Piper is after as Patera tried to injure Piper last night during the Mid-Atlantic Heavyweight Tournament. Buddy Rose & Rip Oliver jump on top of Piper, trying to throw him out of the ring, but it’s too late as referee Schwartz calls for the bell and disqualifies the team of Rose & Oliver for outside interference. Rose & Oliver scream at Schwartz saying that they have nothing to do with Piper and the interference, but it’s going on deaf ears. Patera is rolled to the outside by Duncan and Piper is following Patera and Duncum back to their dressing room.

Winners Ken Patera & Bobby Duncum via DQ

Commercial break.

Bob Caudle: That was a wild situation as Roddy Piper tried to exact revenge against Ken Patera and ended up fighting 4 men just trying to get one good shot in on his attended target. That’s a good reason on why they call him “Rowdy”.

Our first semi final match is ready to go.

In the Blue corner, Ric Flair & Greg Valentine. In the Red corner Matt Borne & Buzz Sawyer.

Flair is already talking trash to the people at ringside and are telling anyone who will listen that Borne & Sawyer will not survive this beating that they are going to get. The match is a back and forth affair, much to the chagrin of Flair & Valentine, who thought that they would have an easy match with their opponents. The ending is Flair & Sawyer are both on the mat as they knocked heads together and both wrestlers are dizzy to say the least. Sawyer gets up first, but is covered with blood and immediately falls back down. Referee Schwartz looks at Sawyer and waves off the match, raising Flair’s hand in the air.

Winners: Ric Flair & Greg Valentine via Referee's stoppage.

Commercial break.

Bob Caudle: One half of the finals are in the books and now to find out who Flair & Valentine are facing is coming up next.

In the Red Corner from Atlanta Georgia, the Fabulous Freebirds. Walking towards the Blue corner is the Black and Blue Express Ken Patera and…… ( Roddy Piper once again appears and attacks Duncum and Patera with a chair as the Freebirds cheer him on) Piper is wearing out both men and jumps on top of Patera, trying to choke the life out of him. Eddie Gilbert, Johnny Rodz and Jose Estrada come out to try and pull Piper off of Patera and all 3 men are struggling to stop the man! The bell rings furiously trying to get more help out here and official Sandy Scott yells at Piper to stop or he will be suspended for 180 days from Mid-Atlantic Wrestling. Piper finally relents and heads to the back to the cheer of the crowd. Referee Sandy Fargo and Sandy Scott have a meeting and Scott walks over to Bob Caudle about a decision.

Bob CaudleSo, what is the decision of the contest?
Sandy Scott: Since the match didn’t officially start with the bell ringing and it has been determined that the Freebirds had nothing to do with this attack on Patera & Duncun. The official in charge and myself decide that the Freebirds will travel onto the finals and face the team of Ric Flair & Greg Valentine on the Friday night the 26th at the Greensboro Coliseum.

Winners via forfeit: The Fabulous Freebirds.

Amazing lineups on both of these cards. I have high hopes for Valentine and flair as a tag team. I always like the conversation of a guy like Ric flair or hulk Hogan and people's view of them as a tag team wrestler. I thought both men shined in those roles when they were in them. The other thing that I would take a look at with your shows and your post-production is the use of all the different colors. While I do like the colors sticking with a basic concept rather than floating around between all of them could be a little bit easier on the eyes. For instance just picking one to denote the specific area you're trying to highlight instead of switching between multiple. other than that you've got a really good grass for this and I don't know your complete history but you definitely jumping in with both feet and you've got all the right pieces to be very very successful..

Yeah, I need to do more with less with the colors. Colors catch my eye and I like to use them a bit too much. I have 1 more card to write this weekend and then start the crazy house show circuit Crockett had. They were basically running 2 separate loops per night. in 81/82.

No worries about the formatting, though. It's always a work in progress at first and a trial and error thing until you figure out the exact right format for you.

As for that 2nd show, man, you really got me as I thought for sure that Ole & Gene Anderson would go way farther in the tournament than they did but I don't know the exact bracket so I would assume you were trying to avoid a confrontation between the Andersons and Flair & Valentine. With that said, you can't go wrong with a finals between the Freebirds and Flair/Valentine, especially in the Atlanta area. And I don't think that either option is a bad one for your first champs!

My brackets fell where the Andersons would face Flair & Valentine and I needed a "cheap" out. I have a match in the 1st round that could be my finals in the upcoming U.S. Heavyweight title tournament. I use random.org for the seedings and try not to move anything around after that. I'll use the randomness and re-think my original plans to try and make me a better writer.

The Mid-Atlantic theme plays and the opening screen of Bob Caudle appears. Welcome to another week of Mid-Atlantic Championship Wrestling. We have 4 big matches scheduled in the 1st round and everything will come down to the Finals for the prestigious U.S Heavyweight Championship. Our 4 1sr round matches are:

Dory Funk Jr. vs. Dick Slater
Nick Bockwinkle vs. Ricky Steamboat
Jerry Lawler vs. Sgt. Slaughter
Buddy Rose vs. Ric Flair

Bob Caudle: Our 1st match is ready to go.

In the Red Corner from Amarillo Texas, Dory Funk Jr. In the Blue Corner from Tampa Florida, Dick Slater. Referee is Sonny Fargo

It’s a former NWA World Heavyweight Champion going against a man who has held many regional titles all over the country. Slater and Funk lock up and it’s Funk that takes Slater down with a hip toss and moves into working the right leg. After several minutes, Slater breaks free and it becomes a back and forth affair, until Slater nails Funk with a elbow off the middle rope. Funk falls to the canvas and Slater starts to turn the match into a brawl. Funk is holding his neck and this allows Slater to work the injured body part and has Funk screaming in pain. Slater picks Funk up and hits a brain buster and then once again, lifts Funk of the mat and hits a swinging neck breaker for the pinfall.

Winner: Dick Slater

Commercial break.

Bob Caudle: Our 2nd match is ready to go and here we go.

In the Red Corner from Beverly Hills, Nick Bockwinkle. In the Blue Corner from Honolulu Hawaii, Ricky Steamboat. Referee is Tommy Young.

Nick Bockwinkle is what they call as a “thinking man’s” wrestler. He wrestles his own pace, no matter who is in the ring and he will need to slow down Ricky Steamboat to even have a chance in the match. Another match that is a well- paced, back and forth  contest and it’s been about 51/49%Steamboat with the upper hand. Nothing in the match really changes and after what seemed to be only 10 minutes, the bell rang with Steamboat having the former World Champion in an abdominal Stretch. The match is declared a DRAW and both have been eliminated.

Winner: DRAW

Short Commercial break.

Bob Caudle: I thought that Steamboat had him, but Bockwinkle showed on why he’s a former World’s Champion and held on until the bell rang. Before the next match, I would like to welcome in Sgt. Slaughter, who is returning to the area after a lengthy absence.

Sgt. Slaughter: Caudle, add ease. I know that you are happy to see me and I am here to say that I will be having my hand raised over this maggot Jerry Lawler. After I make quick work of him, It will be on to the finals since the last match was a Draw. It doesn’t matter who I face, they will go down to the Sarge!

Commercial break.

Bob Caudle: Our next match is up and ready to go.
In the Blue Corner from Paris Island South Carolina, Sgt. Slaughter
In the Red Corner, from Memphis Tenn, it’s Jerry Lawler.Referee is Stu Schwartz.

The bell rings and Slaughter attacks Lawler from behind and throws him to the outside. He follows Lawler to the floor and picks him up and drops him straight down on his neck. Slaughter rolls back into the ring and the referee calls for the Doctor to come out and take a look at Lawler. Slaughter is gloating in the ring and tells the referee to ring the bell and raise his hand. Schwartz has a conference with the Doctor and the match has been called and the winner of the bout is Sgt. Slaughter.

Winner via referee stoppage, Sgt. Slaughter

Commercial break.

Our final 1st round match is already underway as Ric Flair has attacked Buddy Rose and is working on the left leg on Rose. Rose is then put into a Boston crab and is in agony. Flair is telling the” Fat Boy” to give up or his back will be broken. Rose makes it to the ropes and referee Fargo forces Flair to break. Flair then jumps on top of Rose and is pounding away on the forehead of Rose, who is now bleeding down to his chest. Fargo tries to get Flair to break, but he simply shoves Fargo away. Flair then apologizes to Fargo realizing what he had just did. This allows Rose to catch his breathe and grabs something out of his trunks and as Flair turns around, he punches him right in the temple. Flair simply falls straight back and Rose climbs to the top rope and Rose jumps down and hits the “Bombs away” right onto the chest of Flair. Rose covers Flair and shocks everyone by getting the 3 count.

Winner: Buddy Rose

Before Rose has a chance to celebrate, Dick Slater comes into the ring and demands for the next match to begin. Slater gets his wish, the bell rings and attacks Rose with piss and vigor. Slater is all over the “Playboy” and Rose really has no chance in this one. The end happens when Slater just basically pounds the bloody Rose into the ground and hits 2 swinging neck breakers for good measure to keep Rose down for good.

Winner: Dick Slater

Commercial break.

Bob Caudle: After a strange occurrence of events, it will be Dick Slater going one on one with Sgt. Slaughter. Friday night at the Greensboro Coliseum will be a barn-burner will the 3 championship matches. See ya’ next week!

Better use of the colors... easier to read and follow. Dick Slater is made to look like a big star here. He has always been a favorite of mine after I heard about him beating up Matusak for messing with his gf.  I don't know if anyone could put on 4 matches right now and match the star power you've got here even if it were for 1980 these guys are still legit.

Honestly, any of those 8 men would be worthy of being US Heavyweight Champion but man, it's really intriguing to see Dick Slater in this favorite position. You're doing a great job so far of making Dirty Dick a massive threat in Mid-Atlantic!

I have house shows ready to go, but it makes no sense putting any up since the belts are up on the 26th.

I am going to go with Patera, Flair/Valentine, and Slaughter as champions with this big card. Interesting to see Piper in this role and also the greatness of Bock vs Steamboat... that would be amazing!

Nicky wrestled Steamboat for the AWA Title when he traveled to the Carolina's in 1979. 5 title matches and 2 other single matches between the 2 in 1979.
