  21. The main reason I went with Eaton is his singles success was better than Morton's as a whole. Sure Morton had his run with Flair but Eaton had a stronger run as a singles guy in Memphis & WCW. Let's not discount Eaton's success in Memphis pre-MX as well and Eaton's status as being in two of the top 5 tag teams in North America in the 80's. Morton has the edge on him in promo skills though and of course his status as one of the premier babyface workers of all-time. This is definitely a 50/50 type thing and it depends on personal preferences.
  22. AWESOME
  23. Not to steer this one from Cena/Tanahashi but John brought up Morishima......the deal with that one was that NOAH's best young workers were all Jrs other than Morishima & Rikio. Rikio went down so Morishima was basically the "Heavyweight's Last Hope" in the promotion and was considered that by NOAH fans. I remember having conversations with NOAH fans in 2005-06 where they were worried about the future of the promotion then because all the big anchors were getting old and there were no heavyweights following in their footsteps other than Morishima & Rikio. There was legit worry that NOAH was going to become a Rich Man's Dragon Gate years later and it didn't quite happen that way but NOAH has had their issues. Tanahashi was a lot like Morishima to the New Japan fans as he was "Pro Wrestling's Last Hope" against the power of Inoki-ISM.
  24. Pedro had a solid run in Florida in 1977 where he feuded with Ivan Koloff ironically in tag teams and singles feuds over titles. Pedro went to JCP where he was full midcard and was basically in the same boat as Tony Garea as they were there at the same time and I've seen different historians over the years bring that point up when talking up Pedro's legacy.
  25. Me personally I can't vote for guys who are still active in the primes of their careers hence why I didn't vote for Cena last year. Tanahashi is in this category and still has a lot of time left if he doesn't get hurt. Regarding Backlund....Bix don't forget that Backlund would tour around some of the territories to defend his title such as GCW, CWF, JCP, St. Louis, Houston, Toronto all in big money towns mostly main eventing or semi-main eventing.
