  1. Probably one of the more divisive wrestlers in terms of how you view him in the last decade. When he first came up with dean and seth as part of the shield everyone loved them, especially when they became babyfaces. The shield as a whole were involved in some of the best multi man tag matches I have ever witnessed. Then when they broke up and they were looking to push Roman as a singles act, the fans werent rocking with it, and understandably so. Despite having the look, he wasnt believable as a babyface because of how bad of a promo he was. Even with what he was doing in the ring, there were still fans that werent rocking with Roman like that because they felt his push was forced. There were probably a number of ways how his push could of been better booked (have him win a midcard title first to show he can work main event style matches), then if he succeeded there, you push him to the moon. He was also still rocking the shield gear that still had fans reminisce of those days were they preferred Roman. He also was still using the shield theme song too for the longest time. Fast forward to 2020 in the summer and thats when he changed the game, linking with Paul Heyman, becoming the tribal chief, the way he leveled up in every aspect of wrestling was a sight to behold. He mastered doing the little things, his promo work was utter worldly. Not only what he did, but the bloodline story, played a huge role in the perception of WWE being where its at today. 1316 days a champ. No one will come close to that ever. Whether you love him or you hate him, you have to respect him for truly changing the game the way he did. He’s stamped as one of the greatest of this era. Now its time to see who else joins him in that regard. He’s already been nominated but I would like to add more context to his work over his career. From the shield tags, the Bryan matches, the Cody matches, the Aj matches, the first and last Brock match, Jey Uso, Drew McIntyre, his underrated feud with Braun Strowman, his matches with KO, Sami, to the gems involving The Big Show, Buddy Murphy, Cesaro, Finn Balor, Riddle, etc. his body of work speaks for itself, then when you factor in his run on top like I mentioned before, there won’t be an ace run like that in the company again
  2. Recommended matches in no order Any of his tag matches involving his brother from 2013-2014. The Battleground tag is the one that’s received a lot of praised over the years and rightfully so, but they also have a bunch of sick tag matches on raw, smackdown, some other ppvs, and even on main event. Vs Roman Reigns, Wrestlemania 39 and 40 Vs Aj Styles Backalsh 2024, Clash at the Castle 2024 Vs Seth Rollins Hell in a Cell 2022, Wrestlemania 38, and Wrestlemania Backlash Vs Brodie Lee Dog Collar match, AEW Dynamite (sick squash match/angle) Vs Kevin Owens Royal Rumble 2025, Bash in Berlin 2024 Vs Eddie Kingston AEW Dynamite 2020 Vs Solo Sikoa Smackdown 2024 (September 13) Vs Darby Allin Full gear 2020, AEW homecoming 2020, AEW Fyter Fest 2019. I’m aware he’s been nominated already but I wanted to add more matches to highlight what he’s done.
  3. Yeah I just saw that. But I wanted to add more matches for ppl to be aware of for more context of his work
  4. Cody Rhodes One of the most important wrestlers in the last decade. From his role in helping AEW be the alternate promotion, to the role he played in WWE’s boom period when he made his return to the company. Cody also did something that was non existent at times, helped bring back the white meat babyface in mainstream wrestling again. While he can be a bit too company guy at times, more times than not he’s just being himself. Does a great job combining old school and modern day elements into his presentation and how he approaches wrestling, has shown to be very adaptable with who he wrestles, throws a great working punch, underrated brawler, and does a great job of displaying what pro wrestling is all about to the core, even while being super ambitious at times depending on the context of the match he’s working. He does a great job of crafting different matches to specific opponents while factoring in heel/face dynamics and changing approach and structures depending on these elements by actually focusing on the goal of each match within a story. Details matter. Recommended matches in no order Any of his tag matches involving his brother from 2013-2014.
