  1. Suicide (Frankie Kazarian) Albert Camus wrote, "There is but one true philosophical problem, and that is (TNA wrestler) Suicide." This is a selection I want to put in as representative of the late 2000's TNA X-Division. Kazarian has a long career where he is second fiddle to Christopher Daniels and not many stand out performances until he becomes the Suicide gimmick. I'm sure plenty of people who grew up around this time are fond of this character as well. The Bound For Glory 2009 Ultimate X was one of the first matches I ever viewed on YouTube. Kazarian has spoken publicly about despising everything about this run. Everything about his presentation is absolutely silly and ridiculous. Many of his matches involve wandering aimlessly, doing the gun-pointed-to-head taunt, and then a funny reckless spot. He is 2009 personified, you watch Suicide and an Affliction shirt and Monster Energy appear on your person. His X-Division power level is so high at one point the entire division is against this masked man who has seemingly solved the style. I have watched others attempt the Suicide gimmick but Kazarian is easily the best one and is a decent candidate for a lower-half of the list childhood nostalgia pick. Also, FWIW maybe my favorite wrestler to watch in a group. vs. D'Angelo Dinero, Falls Count Anywhere (TNA No Surrender 09.20.2009) vs. Daniels, (TNA Sacrifice 05.24.2009) (43:00 into video) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GxftOsEzv6M vs. The Amazing Red, Alex Shelley, Chris Sabin, Daniels, Homicide, Ultimate X Match, (TNA Bound for Glory 10.18.2009) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bOqpEbdDjd8

    KUSHIDA

I tentatively have Yujiro Kushida at 25 on my list. His greatest career mistake was going to WWE, but he has one truly great carry job in the Hedi jeans against Johnny Gargano on 2/14/2021. I wish that he had remained with NJPW and been selected as junior ace over Hiromu Takahashi. His 2025 match against Kosei Fujita was my 2025 MOTY, and he occasionally can bring it out when allowed. Also, the coolest. Some of his MMA fights have such crisp technical execution that if done in a fake pro wrestling match would be mind blowing. He also has a pretty fun house show match with Mistico in MLW.
  3. I'm placing Christopher Daniels somewhere between 30-40 on my list. He is one of AJ Styles' generational rival and their series of Ironman matches are the peak of the super-indy work rate style. I was not around this scene too close, but I assume the influence case is also there. I LOVE him in the Ultimate X match that ends with him and Suicide falling completely vertical off of the Ultimate X and think he added a layer of psychology to a lot of those. His weakest work is the late 2010s ROH run where he has a silly coat and cane. I would also like to mention he was quite often in his bag in pandemic AEW Dark and Dynamite. The 11/11/20 match against Jack Evans is an under-the-radar great short match, him getting obliterated by Brodie Lee in 2020, and Hangman Page in his retirement match were also 4-4.25 stars.
