sek69
According to PWInsider.com, Joey Styles initially agreed to work the 11/7 and 11/13 Raw shows when WWE had decided that just having Coach and Jerry Lawler in the both wasn't effectively getting the job done. Styles' appearances on Raw have been something of a "getting to know each other" period for both he and WWE. Beyond that nothing further was decided, at least in part because of Styles' real job in advertising. WWE wanted him to fly to the UK and do this week's show, but Styles had obligations at his job so it complicated the situation. At this point, the situation is that in order for Styles to keep working on Raw, he and WWE are going to have to come to a full time deal that would lead to him leaving advertising for wrestling full time. If we see Styles on Raw this Monday, that most probably means that they have come to a deal. I hope WWE comes to its senses and realizes that Joey Styles is proabably the best wrestling announcer out there now. He gives the product a more professional edge just by his knowledge of moves and history that put him roughly a zillion miles ahead of anyone employed by the E. The word going around right now according to the Wrestling Observer's Dave Meltzer is that Torrie Wilson left the Australian WWE tour to take care of Billy Kidman. Kidman is said to be not doing so well since he was released from WWE. However, when Kidman missed an indie booking, he told the promoter it was due to Torrie's status with WWE. Guest SweetMama Scaat
Online Onslaught: Stacy has secured bit parts in at least two upcoming films, one of which is currently in production. Thanks to those who helped out with that info, including our very own PyroFalkon, who correctly notes that Stacy's part in "Big Momma's House 2" boggles the mind. Not because of Stacy.... but because somebody, somewhere actually decided to greenlight the sequel to "Big Momma's House." Well, she does have an ass like a sista. Inside Pulse Sky Sports has been censured by a media watchdog for resurrecting a character from the larger than life world of American wrestling who had been "killed off" after being accused of inciting anti-Muslim sentiment among fans. World Wrestling Entertainment, the successor to the World Wrestling Federation franchise that became popular in the UK during the 1990s, was forced to axe the character of Muhammad Hassan from the ring after complaints in the wake of the July 7 London bombings. But Sky Sports was yesterday censured by the media regulator Ofcom after the digital channel included the character in a programme which went out just over two weeks later on July 25. The Great American Bash, a highlight of the WWE calender, brought together characters from its Raw and Smackdown stands of programming. The character, played by an American, Mark Copani, entered the ring wearing an Arab headdress and surrounded by a phalanx of masked men in combat clothes who were described by the commentators as "sympathizers". There was also use of emotive language, including the words "martyr", "sacrifice" and "infidel" and footage of a previous clash between him and another wrestler was set to music that sounded like the Muslim call to prayer. After the programme, Sky approached WWE ro ensure the character would be withdrawn, and it ended his contract." This is odd to say the least. 4 months after Hassan was removed from TV, Sky Sports is censured. There is a possibility that the watchdog group did not know that The GAB was Copani's final show or what context everything was being used in. Regardless, this could lead to a slew of trouble for Sky. UGH. All kinds of dumb.
