David Bixenspan and The Great Brian Last return for the first 6:05 Superpodcast of 2016 for something of a break in format, including:

  • 35 years ago in wrestling history.
  • Jerry Jarrett’s version of the “Dandy” Jack Donovan story from last week’s show.
  • Beau James joins us for follow-up on Mario Galento, east Tennessee territory thieving shenanigans, and RON WRIGHT VS. THE KU KLUX KLAN.
  • Tom Robinson drops in for an extended edition of Dennis of the Week.

And much more, including Brian’s introduction to the Jeep Swenson fan club.

Just wanted to say, I'm half way through this and the Tennessee history is awesome...

Beau James is a national treasure. Love that guy.

I finished up listening to him last night on the train, but feel I missed so much as so much was going on, so going to go back and relisten. I searched for his name on iTunes couldn't find his podcast but found an interview on Gene Jacksons podcast.

Searching on the Wrestling Classics forum for East Tennessee info and came across some great photos from this era and try and post them up.

Another awesome show. I really enjoyed the "Dennis of the Week" stories, and I look forward to hearing more from Tom Robinson. I also enjoyed listening to the Beau James interview, but it seems like my favorite things are just hearing Brian and Bix banter back and forth. I love listening to the catch-up info from the week before because it just helps to tie up all the loose ends that might be around from the last show.

AND MORE PIBE DIEZ!!!!

Beau James told some really fascinating stories. I enjoy your podcasts quite a bit. Thankfully with my bank desk job I have several hours a week to listen to all of the great pods. Keep up the good work and please have Beau on again someday. He's about 30 minutes up the road from me. Good dude.
