Just to drop this in here, but the latest Squared Circle Gazette Radio is now up, and it's The Trial Of CM Punk! The debate is on, as the prosecution and defense discuss the charge of Fraud and Misrepresentation, in that Punk and his WWE career did not live up to hype that the internet fans and he himself showed upon him going in and throughout. This is actually a topic that I fully expect to take an interesting turn - for better or for worse - by the end of this year, too. The MMA Summer of Punk is going to have fans talking, and I'm curious to see if & how that reflects on perceptions of him overall to be honest.

The defense won anyhow, but my entire approach would have been to argue that the Cabana podcast was entirely irrelevant given how the charge was framed. What Punk said after his career in the ring was over is completely irrelevant.

Yeah I was waiting for them to mention that, given it's hype around his career, a podcast almost a year after his career ended has no bearing on the charge unless the defense let it be, which they did.
