KrisZ
Kris Zellner is joined by Alan4L (DKP) to discuss the renaissance of Keiji Mutoh in 2001. We talk about where Mutoh was going into 2001 and how unbelievable it was that Mutoh had such a career resurgence that year. We talk about the key matches and angles that Mutoh was involved in during the year and hopefully we steer you to watch some of the great matches online because there were some real classics. This is a great show!!! — To support the show and get access to exclusive rewards like special members-only monthly themed shows, go to our Patreon page at Patreon.com/BetweenTheSheets and become an ongoing Patron. Robert S
About that 5 match New Japan vs. All Japan series: apparently the plan was for the series to end 3-2 for All Japan but Nagai accidentally knocked out Iizuka (well, completely smashed his face would be the more correct term, Iizuka was out of wrestling for more than a year following this match; by the way the first two Iizuka matches I had ever seen were this match and Steiner Brothers vs. Fujinami & Iizuka, needless to say I assumed Iizuka was some kind of a whipping boy).
