GSR
Derrick King is holding his own in the initial exchanges until Saturn picks him up off his feet and drives him backwards into the turnbuckles, where he then repeatedly shoulder barges him in the mid-section. Release Northern Lights suplex with Saturn hammerlocking DK’s own arm behind him so that he lands on it. Standing armbar submission that he gives up on, preferring to punish King some more. Belly to back suplex with Saturn again hammerlocking the arm. Judo throw into an armbar, and just like last time Saturn gives up on the submission. He misses the moonsault and DK starts to fire back. Flying headscissors followed by a flying clothesline, however he telegraphs the backdrop and Saturn throws him over the top to the outside with King taking a crazy face first bump all the way to the floor. After driving him into the ring steps Saturn rolls DK back into the ring and picks up a steel chair. The official gets in front of him, warning him not to use it, meanwhile inside Terri comes off the top (in her high heels!) with a crossbody to King. Saturn takes the ref’s advice deciding against the chair and hits the ‘Death Valley Driver’ for the win. After being one of the MVPs for Power Pro Wrestling in 2000, it’s cool to see DK in a WWF ring. To the surprise of no-one who’s watched any of his Memphis stuff he worked and bumped well, highlighted by that one crazy bump on his face where Saturn through him to the outside. I enjoyed Saturn’s targeting of his shoulder and out of the two Metal/Jakked matches we’ve watched, would take this over the Crash/Low Ki match from a couple of months ago.
