GSR
Haku gets the better of the shoulder tackle and then reverses the hip toss landing one of his own. A bad slow motion arm drag from Holly, but a karate chop to the head stuns him and puts a stop his early targeting of Haku’s arm. Haku blocks the roll up by grabbing hold of the ropes, however Holly lifts up his legs so he’s draped over them and kicks him low. The huracanrana is countered with a sit out powerbomb as Haku looks to get back into this. Big running lariat in the corner followed by a barrage of punches to the ribs and head. Holly reverses the Irish whip and hits a belly to back suplex. Thrust kick by Haku and a nice shoulderbreaker for a two. He misses the big splash in the corner, crashing into the turnbuckles and a double clothesline sees both men go down. Holly levels Haku with a dropkick and then nails him with a flying crossbody off the top for a near fall. He looks to repeat, heading upstairs for a second time, only this time jumping right into a Tongan death grip which gives Haku the victory. I thought this might be pretty stiff with the two just slapping the bejeezus out of each other. As it was it turned out to be anything of the sort, with Holly not even throwing one chop all match and working lighter than usual. Like when does Bob Holly not throw chops? Was he afraid of riling up Haku if he’d laid them in like he normally does? In the end there’s nothing to see here.
