cactus
They give this a fair bit of time for an undercard match of this era and the Holly cousins work a lengthy FIP segment over Road Dogg. I've forgotten how much of a hidden gem Crash Holly could be. On top of his brilliantly goofy '6'6, 400lbs little man who's always arguing with his straight laced cousin' gimmick, his selling from strikes are both stoogey and comedic. Billy Gunn eventually gets the hot tag and cleans house to a big pop from the crowd. Crash decides to try and level Gunn with a chair when the referee isn't looking, but Crash instead ends up landing on the steel inside. The ref sees this and DQs the Outlaws instead. The finish had the potential to suck, but I thought they pulled this off fairly well. Good tag team psychology, but the action itself wasn't anything to write home about. ★★
