GSR
World Wrestling Federation Superstars of Wrestling Aired June 3, 1989 (Taped May 17, 1989) Duluth Entertainment Convention Center, Duluth, MN Brutus Beefcake vs Tom Stone WWF Update: Gene Okerlund is outside the cinema on the premiere weekend of No Holds Barred where every fan that he speaks to has nothing but praise for the movie and Hulk Hogan’s performance. Brain Busters (w/ Bobby Heenan) vs Eddie Slater & Tom Stock Scene from No Holds Barred featuring Zeus Jimmy Snuka vs Boris Zhukov (w/ Slick) (from Saturday Night’s Main Event) INT: Greg Valentine & Jimmy Hart - Valentine says that he has put more wrestlers out of the WWF than anyone with his Figure Four leglock, and he is going to dedicate his next match to Ron Garvin. Greg Valentine (w/ Jimmy Hart) vs Chris Zarna Tito Santana vs Jake Milliman - with Ron Garvin as the referee. Milliman proceeds to argue with Garvin who ends up KO’ing him with one punch. Brother Love show w/ Slick - Love enquires as to whether Slick is trying to sign the man who flattened Hulk Hogan on SNME, Zeus. Slick is not giving anything away, but does inform us that he is off to the theatres this weekend to check out the real star of No Holds Barred. Barbarian (w/ Mr Fuji) vs Lance Allen Dusty Rhodes ‘Pizza Man’ vignette King Duggan vs Dave Wagner - after the match Bobby Heenan runs down to ringside to try and steal the crown but is caught in the act by Duggan who tosses him into the ring. As he goes after Heenan, Haku tries to jump him from behind but Duggan gets the better of him which leads to Andre the Giant coming out to help his family member. Big John Studd then makes the save to even up the sides and after he and Andre exchange chops, a shot to the mid-section sees the Giant tumble through the ropes to the floor. Andre ends up getting back in the ring but receives more of the same. INT: Hulk Hogan - apparently No Holds Barred is going to set box office records around the world!
