GSR
Smoky Mountain Wrestling TV Aired March 19, 1994 Dungannon Elementary School, Dungannon, VA Bobby Blaze vs Larry Santo INT: Bob Armstrong - Bob Caudle is pleased to have him back as Commissioner and he’s glad to be back. Everyone is talking about the ‘Loser Leaves Town’ match on 4/1 and while one of the teams will be out of here, he couldn’t just sit back. Contracts have been signed for the rest of April, but what he has done is appoint alternate teams. If the Rock & Roll Express lose then their alternate team is The Thrillseekers, however if the Heavenly Bodies lose, their alternate team will be Brian Lee & Chris Candido. He will be personally involved at Bluegrass Brawl as he’s got to wrestler Jim Cornette and his mystery man. He’s done everything he can to find out who the mystery man is but the Board of Directors don’t know, nobody knows (where have I heard this before?). Cornette bought in Terry Funk and Dick Murdoch in the past but he took care of them and now he’s got this mystery man. He’s not afraid of whom he may bring in and wouldn’t it be great to wave goodbye to four fools on 4/1 (Heavenly Bodies, Jim Cornette and his mystery man) and he wouldn’t miss it for the world. A complete rehash of the ‘Secret Weapon’ angle where Armstrong lost the ‘Loser Leaves Town’ match to the masked ninja. Recap of Tammy Fytch ripping the Dirty White Girl’s shirt open from last week INT: Tony Anthony & Dirty White Girl - Anthony says that everyone in Smoky Mountain Wrestling is getting a little sick and tired of Tammy Fytch running round embarrassing and humiliating people. He’s talked to Commissioner Bob Armstrong and asked for a special kind of match at the Bluegrass Brawl. It’s not just a regular mixed tag match, it’s a ‘Back Alley Brawl’, and that means that pinfalls don’t count and the only way you can win is by stripping your opponent down to their underwear. It’s about time someone put a little humiliation on Tammy Fytch for a change and there is nothing she can do about it come 4/1. Killer Kyle vs Mike Furnas - the match is all Kyle but Furnas comes off the top with a shoulder block to score the upset win and become the new TV champion. Awful. INT: Mike Furnas - he’s practically lost for words winning his first championship Marathon Match: Heavenly Bodies (w/ Jim Cornette) vs Rock & Roll Express - we join the match tied at two falls apiece and with twenty seconds remaining Cornette nails Morton with an oxygen bottle that he’d previously used to rehydrate Tom Prichard and Prichard covers him to get the winning fall. INT: Heavenly Bodies & Jim Cornette - dressing room interview. The Bodies are all exhausted and struggling for air, but Cornette claims they’ve proved one more time they can go an hour and not even feel it! They’ve proven they’re the better beating them in the Marathon match and the same thing is going to happen inside a cage at Bleugrass Brawl, as finally after ten years, he’s going to rid himself and the world of his worst nemesis. INT: Rock & Roll Express - Morton says everyone just saw a prime example of how Jim Cornette comes down to save his Heavenly Bodies, and while they may be the toughest team he’s ever managed, without his help they’re nothing much. At Bluegrass Brawl they’ll be in a cage and that means that Cornette can’t interfere. The only way to get back at him is to take away something he loves, and he loves the Heavenly Bodies in more than one way! This is the last go around for the Rock & Roll Express and they don’t plan to lose. Down & Dirty w/ Brian Lee & Tammy Fytch - Tammy says that they have a mixed tag match coming up against the Dirty White Boy and the Dirty White Girl at Bluegrass Brawl. This isn’t a regular match though, it’s a ‘strip the clothes’ match and you can’t win by pinfall, submission or count out, the loser of the match will have their clothes stripped from their body. It’s going to be on April Fools Day, but they don’t plan on being the fools that are going to be stripped. She doesn’t care what they have to do but the Dirty White Boy and the Dirty White Girl are losing their clothes, there’s no doubt about it. Tammy then jokes about how all you’ve got to do is toss a $10 bill to the White Girl and she’ll take her clothes off anyway, so who knows what she’ll do for $20? The White Girl rushes out upset at the comments but Lee sees her coming and grabs hold of her. Fytch motions like she is going to rip her clothes off when out runs the Dirty White Boy. Despite Dutch’s best efforts to tell Lee that he’s got company and to watch out, he doesn’t see him and the White Boy drills him with a couple of rights before proceeding to rip Primetime’s shirt and trousers off leaving him in his pants. INT: Jim Cornette - claims everybody saw earlier in the program that the Rock & Roll Express cannot take the Heavenly Bodies as they beat them fair and square once again. On 4/1 he’s bringing a can of gasoline with him to burn those raggedy tights and stinking boots, as after ten long years this thing between them is coming to an end at the Bluegrass Brawl. The Bodies will beat them and not only will they be out of Smoky Mountain Wrestling, but if they live up to their word they’ll be out of wrestling entirely. Then there is Bob Armstrong, he thought he had this handled but he’s still got one trick up his sleeve. Where he’s made the mistake in the past is that he’s told Bullet Bob ahead of time who he was going to wrestle, from Terry Funk to Dick Murdoch to Dory Funk Jr. (wrong - seems like the ninja has been forgotten). Even though he is a no good stinking redneck, Bob Armstrong is tough, so he’s got to do a little thinking of his own. He’s not going to know who he’s wrestling and who his partner is. It may be a WWF star like Yokozuna, an international star like Abdullah the Butcher or Kevin Sullivan or maybe someone who isn’t even involved in professional wrestling. He is the only one who knows who is coming and Bob Armstrong isn’t going to find out until it’s too late. Unbelievable this feud has got worse and now they’re rehashing previous angles. The Thrillseekers (Lance Storm & Chris Jericho) vs The Infernos (Fire & Brimstone) INT: The Thrillseekers Ladder Match: Chris Candido vs Tracey Smothers - they’ve already got a ladder match signed for Bluegrass Brawl so not sure why they’re having this match on TV, especially as they could practically jump up to get the $2,500 as it was hung so low. They both climb the ladder and are fighting on top of it when Smothers gives Candido a face first suplex from up high to the canvas and then collects the $2,500 to be declared the winner. Candido attacks Tracey from behind after the match, steals the money and beats on him with the ladder. Okay match, though really don’t understand the logic or purpose of having it on TV. INT: Tracey Smothers - Bob Caudle has checked with the Commissioner and Smoky Mountain officials and Tracey is going to get that money back. He says he’s not worried about the money just now, its Chris Candido’s hide that he wants. Everyone saw him kick his butt and he deserved that $2,500, but they’ve got a lot of ladder matches coming up and Pikeville, KY, where the Bluegrass Brawl is being held is his town, and by the good grace of God the south will rise again in Pikeville! INT: Tony Anthony & Dirty White Girl - they’re carrying Brian Lee’s clothes with them and the White Boy is pretty proud. He asks Lee how he’s feeling now, a little embarrassed, a little humiliated, and where was Tammy Fytch at? She looked like a greyhound dog, scooted out the building and left him all alone. Come 4/1 he’s going to get Primetime one more time and after he’s got through with him they’re going to turn their attention to Tammy Fytch, where by the time they are done with her, she won’t be wearing anything but her birthday suit.
