NintendoLogic
I'm pretty sure Tanahashi's character is "the Shawn Michaels of Japan."
MJH
He has better hair... The second thing that really bothered me in the match though is that, and maybe I'm giving them too much credit or reading too much into nothing, Tanahashi never got any sustained run of offense and was basically playing catch-up from the start, avoiding the Rainmaker at all costs, and yet he didn't sell it at all as a struggle. If anything, because Okada put much more effort into his selling, he came off as the more sympathetic figure, but for the bum knee he would've taken it. WingedEagle
Meltzer really fell in love: Nagata vs. Suzuki **** Low Ki vs. Devitt vs. Ibushi ****1/2 Makabe vs. Shibata **** Nakamura vs. Sakuraba ****1/2 Tanahashi vs. Okada ****3/
soup23
I know my tastes are drastic from Meltzer and others but I can't for the life of me see how anyone could give the Makabe/Shibata match close to 4 stars. That was a poorly focused brawl with a shit finish to boot.
WingedEagle
Yep, I like both guys and didn't mind the match, but was incredibly short with little focus and a nothing finish, like you said. Also not sure how you get 4.5 on the IWP Jr. match. It was a fun spotfest, nothing more.
