TNA issued the following press release on Monday regarding the Lockdown PPV, which included Chris Candido vs. Lance Hoyt. This was one of Candido's final appearances with the promotion:

TNA HOME VIDEO RELEASES "LOCKDOWN" AVAILABLE AUGUST 19th

Nashville, TN (August 15, 2005) Total Nonstop Action Wrestling's DVD of "Lockdown," will be available beginning this Friday, August 19th at www.tnawrestling.com

Pro wrestling's first ever all steel cage event was one of TNA's most barbaric pay-per-views and is now available on DVD. The Six-Sides of Steel were merciless and unforgiving on each competitor who dared to enter that night. Blood was spilled but the wrestlers of Total Nonstop Action came through and gave the fans a night they can talk about for years to come. As with the live event that was broadcast on Pay-Per-View on Sunday, April 24, 2005, viewer discretion is advised.

The match line up includes:

Chris Candido and Lance Hoyt vs. Sonny Siaki and Apolo

Number One Contender's Match

"The Phenomenal" AJ Styles vs. "The Monster" Abyss

NWA World Tag Team Title Match

America's Most Wanted vs. Team Canada

Lethal Lockdown Match:

Kevin Nash, Diamond Dallas Page & Sean Waltman vs. Jeff Jarrett, Kip James & Monty Brown

Tables Match:

Jeff Hardy vs. Raven

X Division Title Match:

"The Fallen Angel" Christopher Daniels vs. "Primetime" Elix Skipper

X Division Xscape Match

Matt Bentley vs. Sonjay Dutt vs. Chris Sabin vs. Shocker

Plus exclusive never-before-seen backstage footage of your favorite TNA stars.

After consultation with Chris Candido's family, in honor of Chris, TNA included Chris' match in its entirety and a special tribute to Chris with bonus footage and outtakes from an interview with Jeremy Borash. TNA Wrestling will donate a portion of the proceeds from the sale of the "Lockdown" DVD to the Chris Candido Scholarship Fund. Donations can be made to:

Bank of New York

3rd Avenue & Washington Street

Spring Lake, NJ 07762

Pretty cool thing to do on TNA's part. It's kind of a sad comment on the business when a company does something good and it's almost shocking.
