Loss
This seems to be the starting point. What age group are we targeting first and foremost? What TV stations, time slots and length of programming are we wanting? Let's brainstorm.
Guest TheShawshankRudotion
5-45 is an age range where you can get kids going to see the lights and the excitement of a live show and their parents taking them to relive their younger years. The problem with this is that kids can grow out of it, but they tend to be retained longer and don't get tired of it until their teen years. So you got a good 5-7 years before you lose them and their parents money. 18-35 would be a more adult-oriented product, it's one of the most sought after demographics due to purchasing power - these are people who can afford to buy video games, tickets to shows, PPV's, etc. on their own or in a group with some friends, and are usually willing to pay more than other age groups. You'd get sponsorship and advertisements easier appealing to this market. The problem with this age group is the retention rate is pretty short. I'd say maybe 3 years at best for the majority of the fanbase, until they get sick of it and attach themselves to another trend. Are we keeping this promotion non-race/nationality/gender-specific? In other words, we target men and women, black and white, Mexican, Italian and Chinese? In terms of income group, are we looking at targeting lower-level income and charging relatively lower tickets, or do we charge a premium and go for a higher-end clientel like the UFC is successfully doing right now by running shows in Vegas and the prices range from $50-500 a ticket? I'm thinking the lower-end of the spectrum if we go families, the higher-end if we go white males ages 25-35. And how could I forget about psychographics, buyer habits, and purchasing behaviour? Jeeez. How often do we run certain arenas? What needs, desires, wants are we satisfying in our target market? What other shows do these people watch, where do they go for fun, what music do they listen to? Deciding on an appropriate Target Market is tough.
