KrisZ
Kris & David are guestless this week as we discuss the week that was October 4-12, 1986. We talk about Manny Fernandez turning on Jimmy Valiant, Buddy Landel quitting, and more news and views on JCP. We then talk about the spectacle of Antonio Inoki vs. Leon Spinks, plus we go to the territories where we get the Singapore Suicide Match in Continental, Sputnik Monroe returning to Memphis, a promotional war in Dallas, and lots more. WWF ends the show talking about Saturday Night’s Main Event and how Roddy Piper portrayed a character never seen in WWF before. A tremendous show so don’t miss it!!! Hegs
When you and Bix were talking about WWWF face turns, Gorilla Monsoon immediately came to mind.

PeteF3
One last far less memorable face turn of the era: Swede Hanson. That was sort of by accident if I have the story right--MSG crowds started to imitate the noise he'd make while pounding guys a la Hack Myers, and he developed a following that the WWF decided to go with. yunro
Pat Patterson was another heal turning face, didn't want to work with Lou Albano who bought his contract from Grand Wizard.
BruiserBrody
Brunzell was apparently given a $$$ number when he jumped in 1985 as in his shoot he said he gave Verne a chance to match his $90,000 offer from the WWF. Verne told him he wasn't worth it.
