A TEW 2016 PWO Diary

As you probably noticed, I already decided to scrap my NWA EoE diary because logistically, I just figured it was getting complicated to do everything that I wanted. So I had another idea in mind. Ever since I purchased TEW 2016, I don't count how many mods I've tried (and still currently play). I was a bit apprehensive at first, considering how much micromanagement it takes compared to EWR but after trying TEW 2005, I decided to jump on TEW 2016 and never regretted it.

While I play many promotions and territories, I decided to start one where I'll just let everything play out by the AI. Let's just think about it as a parallel universe to what we're currently experiencing right now. So, I will sim it one day at a time and see what happens and  see where everything will lead us. I'll use entries for each day like a mini dirt sheet to recap everything that happened inside the ring and behind the scenes. So, I'll obviously skip the first Monday because there's never anything happening in the first day other than the usual Hiroshi Tanahashi being the ace of NJPW! :p

-Three titles changed hands during the AJPW Badlands Tour event yesterday at Shinjuku Face. First, Violent Giants (Shuji Ishikawa & SUWAMA) captured the AJPW Unified World Tag Team Championship by defeating James Raideen & Ryouji Sai to start their 2nd reign. Also, Ultimo Dragon defeated TAJIRI for the AJPW GAORA TV Title and finally, Black Tiger VII beat Shuji Kondo to win the AJPW World Junior Heavyweight Championship.

-Oddly enough, BJPW were running the Fragment Tour event yesterday in the same building than AJPW, in a matinee event. Only 1 title changed hands as Tsutomi Oosugi beat Kazuki Hashimoto to win the BJW Junior Heavyweight Championship

Some Japanese promotions might be looking to change some top faces; while DDT is looking to push down Konosuke Takeshita, Dragon Gate is looking to do the same with Masato Yoshino.

In the opener of the episode, Paul London defeated Ricky Mundo to become the new Gift of Gods Champion

-An eventful show in Kinki when both KAGETORA and YAMATO turned heel during the show. KAGETORA turned heel in his match against Susumu Yokosuka while YAMATO did the same after his loss to Open the Dream Gate Champion Masato Yoshino. Following the show, DG announced that they were letting go of Zachary Wentz, who lost his final match on the pre-show to Super Shisa.

-Finally, Azusa Christie announced her intentions of switching her wrestling style from Japanese Junior to a more regular style to reflect her evolution as a performer.

Octagoncito is the new AAA World Cruiserweight Champion after beating Sammy Guevera on AAA Worldwide. This is Octagoncito's first reign as champion.

Fred Yehi captured the MLW Middleweight Championship by defeating Maxwell Jacob Friedman in last night's episode of MLW Fusion. This is Yehi's first reign as champion.

Major acquisition for ROH as they acquired the services of Eric Bischoff. Bischoff will be working behind the scenes to improve the production aspects of the promotion

Big Japan also made big waves as they were able to get some dates for Kota Ibushi & Kenny Omega. No word yet if they'll be working in singles or as the Golden Lovers. Hiromu Takahashi is also gonna work a few dates with BJW

GAINA & former Tohoku Junior Heavyweight Champion Taro Nohashi will now be working in the tag team division

After several years of hiatus after controversial comments made on an EVOLVE show, Joey Styles is back in the business as he signed a deal to become the new voice of Shine.

La Seductora & La Amapola will now be working as a tag team

Zack Sabre Jr is the new WWN Champion after defeating Austin Theory at EVOLVE 114 at Bainton Field. This is Sabre's first reign as champion. Two new duos were also added: Chris Dickinson & Jaka and Trey Miguel & Jason Cade.

Doblone is the new ICW Italian Heavyweight Champion as he defeated Andy Manero to start his first reign as champ

ZERO1 is growing and is taking the steps to take their place in the world. Masanobu Fuchi has been brought in and should debut soon. 2 new tag teams will also debut since Gabaiji-chan and Minoru Tanaka as well as Hideki Hosaka & Rikiya Fudo have joined forces.

Another major coup for NOAH as they were able to sign CIMA. The former ace of Dragon Gate should debut soon. Referee Eiji Tosaka  and Yosuke Watanabe will also be joining the company

The legendary El Hijo del Santo is scheduled to return to AAA as well to work behind the scenes and make some on-air appearances. Guapito is also going to AAA

Johnny Kidd and Joanna Rose have signed with NGW

A very eventful evening for CWH. First they announced their withdrawal from the National Wrestling Alliance. On the same night, Jarek 1:20 captured the United Wrestling Network TV title by beating Luster the Legend, champion Oliver Grimsby and Ricky Mandel in a 4-Way Dance. Jervis & Ryan Taylor and Kikutaro & Tim Storm will also work in the tag team division as well

Another big acquisition for Shine as Tim White will appear on a couple of dates to work as a referee

We've got new Chikara Campeones de Parejas as Los Ice Creams defeated The Closers (aka Mike Verna & Rex Lawless) to capture those titles for the 2nd time

Go Shiosaki and Kento Miyohara will also join BJW and start very soon with the company.

Turns out Eric Bischoff will not only be involved with ROH. He will also work behind the scenes with CZW as well to help on the production side of things. Madison Rayne has also signed to work a few dates with CZW.

Julio Cesar Rivera and El Piero have signed with Crash

Shingo Takagi, Dinosaur Takuma, Yuya Aoki, Takumi Tsukamoto, Daichii Hashimoto and Masashi Takeda will also join the AJPW roster very soon. Seems like AJPW & NOAH are now competing with each other to climb the ladder in the puro scene!

Bruce Prichard will start working behind the scenes for PWG next month

The Besties in the World (aka Davey Vega & Mat Fitchett) are now the newest tag team on the roster. Look for them to get a strong push. Violent J from ICP has also joined AAW.
