GSR Posted May 23, 2021 Report Share Posted May 23, 2021 National Wrestling Alliance World Championship Wrestling Aired August 5, 1989 Center Stage, Atlanta, GA Handicap Match: Dan Spivey (w/ Sid Vicious & Teddy Long) vs Bob Emory & George South INT: Sting INT: Terry Funk - says that tomorrow night at The Omni he will become the new World Heavyweight champion Tommy Rich vs Trent Knight INT: Lex Luger Road Warriors (w/ Paul Ellering) vs John Brewer & Fred Avery The Danger Zone w/ Michael Hayes INT: Rick Steiner - he has bought two front row tickets for The Omni tomorrow and says that one is for Jim Ross. Ross says that they don’t need tickets as he is wrestling Lex Luger for the US title and he knows people that can get him in. He suggests giving Robin Greene (who is in the audience) the tickets, but Steiner says he doesn’t spend money on girls and the tickets are to make sure that they can get in. Sting & Eddie Gilbert (w/ Missy Hyatt) vs New Zealand Militia - Sting has Jack Victory in the Scorpion deathlock when Terry Funk, Great Muta and Gary Hart come out and enter the ring. Funk nails Gilbert with his branding iron and they double team Sting with Funk ising his cowboy boots as weapons. A suited Ric Flair comes to Sting’s aid and they have a great brawl.
