WCW World Heavyweight Champion Hulk Hogan vs Kamala - WCW Main Event 8/6/95

These two have some of that freaky deaky chemistry. Nowhere near as good as their 87 classics but this is 5 minutes of good craic. This is the start of the Second Gen Dungeon of Doom. It takes a repackaged Sullivan, Beefcake and Earthquake from 94 version with the name of Dungeon of Doom and adds Kamala eventually The Giant and Meng. This is a rare Hogan singles match and is a defense of WCW Title. This is on the Main Event before the Clash, most of the hype is around Hogan entering the Dungeon during the Clash telecast (this is not the famous vignette). 
 

Only five minutes of action but it is brisk and fun. Hogan is wearing the war paint. He charges into battle but is caught off at the pass. Lots of really good looking chops by Kamala. Bodyslam. Hulk-Up. Hogan is in full street fight mode throwing all the heel offense back at the heel. Great punches and nasty offense. Kamala starts firing up with thrusts to the throat. Sullivan interferes with a staff to the throat. Kamala splash that’s the Kamala near fall. Hulk Up home stretch. Drop the Leg but Sullivan is on top. Press Slam. Here comes the Dungeon. Sting & Savage save. Stock Hogan promo about going to War and the Dungeon to set up Wargames. It was fun, sue me. ***
