flyonthewall2983 Posted Saturday at 07:46 AM Report Posted Saturday at 07:46 AM Guess there are many ways to split this question but I’ll just ask more directly which method of mystery certain wrestlers take, grabs your attention more? I’m leaning towards both. Demolition springs to mind immediately.
JRH Posted Saturday at 06:33 PM Report Posted Saturday at 06:33 PM The problem with face paint is that, from the ones I've seen, it flakes off during the match, which means that for a long match, by the end of the match the "mystery" is gone (if they used the same type of paint that circus clowns or rock groups like KISS used, it might stay on better). As someone who basically sees wrestling as a live-action comic book, the masks help the superhero image (and it's still possible to show emotion depending on the mask, look at Rey Mysterio Jr for example).

I think you can do more with the designs & colors...maybe a different design every night. But yeah, I think the expressiveness is what sells me on the paint.
David Mantell Posted Sunday at 08:29 AM Report Posted Sunday at 08:29 AM It depends on the individual mask or face paint. This was the first face paint in wrestling I ever saw:
